I have a GT-I9505 and I'm currently on the Jamal 4.4.2 GE rom.
I have the screen timeout after 15 sec but I'd like to modify the timeout when I'm already on lockscreen.
I'll try to be more clear.
I often power on the display to see (from the lockscreen) if there are some notifications.
In order to let the screen switching off I have to press the power button again or wait an amount of time equal to system screen timeout configured. I'd like to reduce this timeout on lockscreen only e.g. 5sec to have the normal behavior I had on stock TW rom or nexus5 or etc...
I tried to decompile android.policy.jar but I was not able to recognize a variable that could help me.
Are there any suggestions?
Thank you

Hi All,
I have searched far and wide on 2 issues I have been encountering. I have yet to come across a solution though. Could anyone enlighten me please?
1. How can I rearrange the icons (when in grid format) in the main menu? I don't seem to be able to arrange them according to the way I want, and only have the option of list / grid format in the menu.
2. How can I set the screen to dim like say after 30 seconds but only lock after 5 minutes? Right now, its irritating to have the screen dim and lock after 30 seconds. Any 3rd party apps that can do this?
Thanks guys
sorry if its been discussed before but I can't find it anywhere via search.
here goes, during sgs' time with eclair, I recalled having set a pattern lock and when i turn the screen on, it would require me to slide to unlock first then proceed to pattern (similar to iphone set up)
nowadays on stock gingerbread rom, it no longer shows the main slide to unlock screen, instead it jumps straight to pattern/pin unlock screen. Reason I brought this up is that I did prefer the previous setup to see date, time and charge % left (also setting up a lockscreen wallpaper only works in the slide to unlock screen only)
does anyone know how to return it back to normal?
thanks

I'm pretty sure that it shows all that /(time, battery, date) and you could change the lockscreen wallpaper by going to : Settings > Display > Wallpapers and then Lockscreen Wallpapers....
Are you running stock ROM/kernel no EDT tweaks etc?
On my Juwe ROM the only problem I could find was that the lockscreen was transparent, thus showing the wallpaper you have on the homescreen instead of the one you have chosen in the settings.

Thanks for the quick reply, this came about on jvk then jvp rom, no tweaks etc
What happens is if i select no password required it shows the default lockscreen.
The moment i set up a pin or pattern lock, the lockscreen doesnt appear anymore, itvjumps straight to enterin pin or pattern screen, im pretty sure this happens to everyone else on stock gingerbread...
Hi folks,
i really enjoy using CM10 on my tiny little X8.
But the lockscreen bug is very annoying.
So i found out some settings which make the lockscreen quite responsive, even after deep suspend.
Here the are:
1. Remove all Apps from the lockscreen, even camera
2. Background: Standard
3. Clock position: centered
4. Batterystats: only when charging
5. No weather, no calendar
Locking delay enabled
timeout after 5 Secs.
delay after display off 10 Secs.
No vibration on unlock
**Update**: Set min frequency to 245 MHz
Maybe it helps someone.
@naa: very impressive work, as said 1000 times before :good:
I had this too..
thnakx i hope it will work testing now...
I got the 4.4 update via my S4, and now whenever i set a live wallpaper for both home and lock screen, the lock screen becomes the same it was on the s2 with the same lock sound and the lock icon thing when you swipe the screen (no light effect or sound). Is this a bug or is it the way it's supposed to be for kitkat?
It only happens when i set a live wallpaper for the lock screen, when i set a normal wallpaper the lock screen remains the way it should be with the light effect and sound.
Could i please get some help, some sort of answer please, i'd really appreciate it :crying:

I have I9500 n I get the light/ripple effect for lockscreen with sound. I guess they ll include it in stable updates. Try using the one of the default wallpapers and then the ripple/light effects. It might work. All the best.
I just got OEM quick window:
1. The Quick window on screen after closing stays only for 3 secs. Can we prolong it to like 10 secs so that i can see the beautiful clocks? I tried to change the screen timeout, lock timer etc but still no luck.
2. Is there any xposed module or mods to tinker with specifically for quickwindow mode?
3. Is there any way i can add more clock widgets?
4. How to make the cover shut completely?
I have a rooted D802 Stock rom
