type *#0011# in your dial pad screen and you will get to ServiceMode. Just top the settings touch pad button to the left of home button and select WIFI. Turn off the wifi. I believe that should help. This is a new security and firmware policy that is crapping out wifi connectivity for power saving.
Personally i hated it. :good:

Hi all,
I've found these forums invaluable in the past, and as I can't do anything until Monday thought I'd see if anyone has had the same problem.
I got the Optimus 7 yesterday, and all was well during the initial setup. During Wifi setup, a list of available connections popped up immediately, and my password was accepted.
After adding my Live account, I downloaded the Xbox Live app. During the download I noticed that it was using the 3G connection rather than Wifi.
When the download finished, I went back into the Wifi settings to ensure it was switched on. It had turned itself off.
Now when I enter the settings and switch on the Wifi, the 'Searching...' text appears, but no networks are ever found. When I turn on Bluetooth, the orange progress bar dots appear at the top of the screen for a few seconds, then Bluetooth switches itself back off.
I've tried a factory reset through the 'About' screen, but the issue remains.
Seems like a hardware failure to me, but if anyone has had the same problem and knows of a fix that would be great as I'll have to wait until Monday at least to return it.
My first LG phone, wish I'd stuck with HTC.
Thanks!
Jod
Try to make a reset from the MFG "secret" app, here is how:
-Dial: ##634#
-Press the "call" button
-On the MFG screen input this password: 277634#*# (translated is appmfg#*#) and press enter. Now the MFG icon is listed on the "programs list".
-Now you can access to many options, tests.....
Press 4.Factory reset. and confirm.
Let us know if this help
Thanks for your suggestion! I can't try it now as I had the phone replaced. I meant to post but it slipped my mind.
New phone is working fine and I'm very happy with it!

Before buying Lg g2 i had this problem on my nexus 4,whenever my g2 is connected to my home wifi network and my screen is off , i recieve push notifications with a delay ,sometimes 2 minutes ..somtimes 10 minutes ..so it varies , as soon as i press the power button to switch the screen on , all my whatsapp notifications which were stacked up, arrive in one go , i have this problem only on wifi , on 3g it works flawlessly ,there is no such delay
I have this problem on problem on my stock 4.2.2 rom

In your Advanced Wi-Fi Settings, is "Keep W-Fi on during sleep" set to Always? (You get there from the Wi-Fi screen, click the Menu Button and select Advanced Wi-Fi).
Not sure if this will help because of your other symptoms but it's somewhere to start.
Edit: DD's solution sounds more to the point, but requires root.

I have the same problem.
I receive notifications from 2 minutes up to 30 minutes later.
When Im charging my phone, notifications are not delayed at all, not even for one second
I use nexus 4 kitkat, not rooted, stock
I have turned off Wifi Optimization and now notifications arrive usually with 30 seconds delay which is OK for me, but the battery now drains faster

Push is blazing fast on my G2. I do have wi-fi optimizer enabled as well as wi-fi enabled in sleep mode.
Is turn wifi off during sleep enabled? I thought it kicked over to 4G if so.
I am on stock G2, unrooted. I experience this using 4G. On WiFi, I haven't noticed it yet.
Hello XDA. I've noticed that my new Note 4 has been dropping the wifi connection while using the Internet. So what happens is the wifi button suddenly becomes grey and I have to press it to enable it again. It works for a while and then it drops off again...then I gotta press it to enable it...
I've discussed this with Verizon and they are suggesting i do the dreaded factory reset.
I have a feeling that I'll be sending this one back...
Any advice from the experts? Thanks in advance.
Are you having this problem at multiple locations or just one? If at multiple locations, I'd have to agree to try a full reset. If at one, could be a router issue.
Just to cover all the bases, you haven't any power management or something like tasker that could be turning off wifi?
No power management software installed and I really haven't used it much anywhere other than my home wi-fi so I guess I should double check it tomorrow on other networks to confirm before the reset.
I had a similar issue with my Note 3 where I couldn't get wifi to stay on no matter where I was and I needed a new phone...that was after using it for 9 months with no issues....this Note 4 is brand new.
If you are using smart network switch option try to disable it and see if its ok
