Hi guys, I updated from 10b to 10f. I do not want to downgrade to 10b and flash root. Is there a method to root 10f?

I second that, ioroot successfully rooted my 10f without any problems.
Thanks guys. I found out that both methods work. Maybe last time I had done something to interrupt the process

I used this method to root after the kat and it worked fine. I did remove the root app and installed supersu which installs its own binaries. Worked fine.

Download the appropriate TWRP recovery for your model, drop it on your phone, and use the app Flashify from the market to install it. Flashes recovery as easy as rooting it.
We're can I grab twrp I didn't see it posted here. Then I will grab the the Other app u mentioned. Thanks

I found a site that says Kingoroot may be malicious and sends out your IMEI, etc. I can't post outside links yet.
Just google kingo root PSA: Kingo Root and Vroot Malicious
you'll find it

They have supposedly addressed these issues and they have a lot of info on their Facebook page, but who knows. They state they no longer pull the IMEI number. I tried them to see if would work, but their program doesn't recognize my G2 for some reason...

Downgrade and root, then apply a upgrade zip that doesn't unroot with a custom recovery.

****, Im in the same boat as OP.
Had a rooted Jelly Bean on stock rom. Just rooted to use Adaway and Greenify.
Got the KK OTA today, installed and got ready to root again.
Damn
There is no root for 4.4.2 yet !!!
Only workarounds involving going back to 4.2.2 first.

How would you flash anything other than kdz or tot when you are on 4.4.2 and don't have root or custom recovery in the first place?

OK so my first g2 got stolen, I filed a claim and the g2 shipped to my already has the KitKat update. I know that there isn't a root method for it yet so my question is can I downgrade using the method in the development then root with the method already known? Or do I have to just wait till a method is found for KitKat?

it has step by step to go back to stock 4.2, root, get recovery and flash like I said currently that is the only way for any device to keep recovery on kk(most devices with official kk and sources have got a specific rom to do so)
