[Guide] Status 7 Error while installing Blepart Partition Scheme - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi,
While flashing Blepart 2.x Partition I got this Status 7 error. I did'nt knew how to resolve it. So, I googled it and searched many threads relating to this problem. The guides were totally meant for ROMS so i experimented the same thing with the partition I had and voila it worked like a charm .
NOTE: I am not responsible for your device if anything goes wrong like bricked etc. You follow this guide at your own risk. And this guide is solely meant for Huawei U8800 Ideos X5.
These are the steps:
1. First extract your Partition Scheme (Winrar, Winzip, 7-Zip)
2. Go to the folder META_INF > COM > GOOGLE > ANDROID
3. Here you will find a file "updater-script"
4. Open the "updater-script" with notepad++.
5. Delete text, starting from "assert till the semicolon of the last getprop command. (see image in attached file-lines to delete)
6. Save the file and zip it again and Reflash. And now you have new partition scheme.
Hope this Helps..

This is actually a caution, to make sure the partition table is installed using BlePart recovery. However, I guess you installed it normally (not using BlePart recovery), and if it works the same, maybe I can remove BlePart recovery altogether. The only reason I did that was because the /cache mounting. CWM likes to store the logs on that partition, and when changing partition table, it can cause bad things to happen. BlePart 2.x only modifies the last 3 partitions, hence it does not change /cache position in the EMMC or anything. I will look into it.

thnx for the reply, however I did flash it with Blepart recovery....

I think that in some cases the problem is the wrong recovery i almost did that because i haven t read the instructions completely when downloading the files and preparing to install blepart and cm11.

Im using forumber partition scheme. Do i need to wipe something to install the blepart scheme?
Without wipes i get errors, but not the status 7 one. I already modified the updater script.

You might not know this, but every device has its own different system partitions. The thread you were referring to is for Asus Transformer Pad. Following that might make the problem worse.

In that tutorial mmcblk0p8 is being formatted because that memory location has the /data directory on Asus Transformer. But, in our device the /data can be in any other partition, and doing that might brick the device permanently
Delete the recovery log from twrp folder and flash another twrp from flashtool or rash..what version are you using? If it is indeed a corrupted partition, you can reflash your phone using qfill
Try using the Fix Permissions in TWRP recovery...
It may help.

I have solution
Bro don't take so much tension , thats not hardware problem its only your Recovery's reading cache error . you can simply fix this by flashing old version of recovery and from that old recovery again wipe what you want to remove but man don't touch your mount section column , after wiping data and anything else simply flash new twrp.img then simply reboot recovery . wollllaaa you got your partion cache back now again you can simply flash you favorite roms. I hope you understand what you have to do now . But please follow these steps carefully :good: .
Remember don't flash KitKat recovery over lolipop recovery otherwise you got bootloop. Old recovery means suppose if you have now twrp v 3.1 just simply flash v2.8 then after wiping things you want , then simply flash twrp v 3.1 .
If you still have any doubt you can contact me via WhatsApp - +91 9205097520 (indian no. ) or simply reply me on xda or simply mail me at - [email protected] . And at last don't forget to tell me about your device problem .

I tried that also stil facing the same errors.
Try this steps carefully :
1. Wipe cache, dalvic cache, system, data and internal storage.
2. After wiping press format data and then type "yes" .
3. After formating data, now go to install and flash the ROM you want with gapps.
4. After flashing rom and gapps now reboot system.
5. First boot will take some time.
(Note: keep in mind that after wiping cache, dalvik, system, data, internal you have to do format data (which you will see in bottom right corner of wipe section) )
Whenever I install new custom rom, i use only these steps. I never encounter these problems as i always format my data.
Try this things, hope you will use your device.

Okay.
First check weather its mounted or not.
To do this go to twrp recovery mode, select Mount and check [√] every option. After that try to flash the rom again. It seems like your system, data and cache is not mounted. See if that helps or not.

TWRP can't mount /system

I tried dual boot my redmi note 4g using an chinese software. As I don't know chinese Ijust followed instructions given on source site. I got dual boot on my phone successfully. But after incomplete installation of second rom i wiped cache which cause my phone an bootloop formatting my internal memory.
I tried installing official miui rom through recovery. But TWRP gave me error of unable to mount /system.
After some research I found that
Code:
/dev/block/platform/sdcc.1/by-name/system2
is causing problem.
This file mounts at /system partition. The actual name should be
Code:
/dev/block/platform/sdcc.1/by-name/system
.
I want to rename this file. I tried many ways but it gets renamed back after each reboot. This is also preventing from installing rom through fastboot method. I guess I will have to do changes somewhere else through partition table. I don't know much about this so what exactly I should do to rename
Code:
/dev/block/platform/sdcc.1/by-name/system2
to
Code:
/dev/block/platform/sdcc.1/by-name/system
.
Sorry for bad english.

Gt i9506 10 gb used by system after flashing.

hello there!
some months ago i tried a custom firmware on my 9506 (i think that was the first version of arya mod) but i didnt kinda like it so i downloaded again the stock fw and flashed it back.
i did my typicall "download the basic apps" routine and on the 4th app an "insufficient storage available" message appeared on my screen and i was like "lol whats wrong?" i checked on and i found that 10.6Gb was used by system.
Well i thought that i downloaded maybe a bugged stock rom and i didnt have the free time at the time to check whats wrong so i decided to live with it till i find some spare time to check it again.
Yesterday i downloaded and flashed the lineage os fw and i was sure that this would fix the problem...but...well it didnt..still 10.6 used by system.
i tried wipe EVERYTHING (dalvik/cache/system/internal) and reflashed again but still nothing,i flashed again the stock rom, still nothing, i searched online but i didnt find a solution, i downloaded diskusage app to see where are those 10gbs but i couldnt figure out where they where.
So if anyone knows anything or had the same or similar problem it would be great if he/she write here and give a solution or some tips.
Thanks in advance

Try flashing the stock ROM together with a PIT file
i fixed it guys
i flashed again cwm recovery and i formated EVERYTHING from there and then reflashed again the rom and gapps and that fixed the problem.
Thanks for your help !
For the record, CWM's incremental backup feature was what I believe was stealing your space. If you still have CWM on that device, make sure to set the default nandroid backup format to ".tar" instead of ".dup", clear out your nandroid backups, clear all the allocated space, and then upgrade to the latest version of TWRP.
CWM hasn't been updated in a few years now and has difficulty installing modern ROMs.
you are right i think.
if i recall corectly when i flashed that rom back then before the problem appeared, i used cwm recovery so yeah maybe thats the main reason that this happened.
i allready set the default backup to .tar and cleared out all the nandroid backups and i allready use TWRP now.
thanks for the tip mate!

Backup S8 - G950F with TWRP

Hello guys,
i've just received the Android 8.0.0 and as soon as i got it, i root-ed it. Now everything is fine but the only problem i have is that i cannot backup the whole system as it is right now with TWRP.
When i open TWRP in boot and i go to backup all files it gives me the following error : "unable to mount //data". How can i solve this problem without formatting it again ?
Thank you.
P.S : i added a photo as an attachment with the error.
Format both to fat and back to ext4. I would like to know if there is another way. You can backup needed apps with titanium and restore later.

LE: I did it for "data" and now it seems to work but will try when i have the whole rom ready.
Thanks.

Did you first format data to fat and back to ext4 and it got fixed?; was it showing free space in /data/media, not like on screenshot where is 0mb and it's broken? after you tried to backup it broke in the process? Try to wipe, install custom rom and back up it. Try external sd

if you follow the video you have the "/data" problem and after that you solve it with the solution from dr. Ketan.
I don't know if you can flash directly the zip from dr. ketan, haven't tried it. In theory it should work but i can only confirm what worked for me.
Keep me updated on what you did.
Best step if one is on oreo stock and just want twrp +root
1.flash twrp with format data (will wipe Int storage)
2.flash magisk (from ext SD)
3.flash data mount fix(from ext SD)
All three to be flashed without reboot in between
Then must have to reboot to system
Now next time when reboot to recovery, data will available in twrp
Who already have oreo rom +twrp then simply flash data mount
Who are on nougat custom and want oreo custom rom
1.factory reset (no need to format data)
2.flash oreo custom rom
3.flash magisk if rom doesn't included
4.flash data mount fix
Reboot to system once
Done
