[Q] Sammobile for my device? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

What firmware downloads from sammobile.com are OK for my device?
I have a U.S. AT&T note3 with mi9 firmware and haven't changed it yet
I don't wish to try fixing my phone after using an incorrect download, and Sammobile's device search does not show USA downloads for the N900A. The answer must be obvious, but it escapes me...help?

[Q] which firmware to download for Samsung s4 SCH- R970 my pda R970VXUAMBA ? i

hi. frineds. i installed custom rom on samsung s4 R970 us cellular model. i need stock rom. i dnt know how to download latest firmware for R970 plz.. give me correct link. i need kitkat or jellybean.
SCH-R970, SCH-R970C or SCH-R970X?
If the device is a R970 (US Cellular), your firmware is here.
If the device is a R970C (Cricket), your firmware is here.
If the device is a R970X (Unknown - CSC CSP), your firmware is here.
You don't specify which R970 model you have, which is why I posted three links. While not absolutely essential in your case as each R970 only has one country it's used in, in the future, you need to post more than the PDA. Dial *#1234# to retrieve AP, PDA, and CSC, and post them next time.
EDIT: I misread your post and missed the fact you posted that you had a US Cellular S4. Sorry for coming across as a bit of a jerk.

[Q] Galaxy S5 firmware question

Good day teams
I want to load a stock firmware for my S5, and I have seen many different links and images. On the firmware details I see specs like model number (which I know is very important) but I often see region or country. Is this a critical aspect to consider? I am in South Africa on the Vodacom network and I have not yet seen a link for firmware for lollipop for this country. Does it HAVE TO BE matching my country as well or can I use any lollipop image for SM-G900F?
Any one have a link to a thread for stock firmware lollipop, (or kitkat will do as well) for my SM-G900F, and maybe can answer my concerns about country spec.
thanks
Links not allowed to the site, but search for "sammobile"
You can install any ROM for the G900F afaik

It is my understanding that if you want stock then goto sammobile. match your model number and your build number to the stock roms that are available. Then wipe and flash the stock rom to your device.

galaxy note 3 9005 LP rom

hay guys need help my younger brother bought a 9005 and he need lollipop on it i m using n3 900 and have no idea which is rom to flash on his n9005 some plz guide me which is best official release and how to flash it via odin it ll very helpful
Need to know exact model and country region. The best way is to install Samsung Phone Info and give the details of the FIRMWARE page (bootloader, baseband, PDA, CSC) and the CSC Code tab (original CSC, firmware csc, active, country).
You can post those here and we can direct you, or you can use that info and go to sammobile website and click on firmware and input your data for the phone.
Then select country and it will pop up the latest firmwares for your device and country region.
They even have instructions under it to tell you how to flash in odin.
PS - it's against forum rules to post sammobile links (but someone will do it anyway lol)... and make sure you register on sammobile so your download speed will be faster.
It won't be 15k like it say... it will probably be 100-300k (though it will still take 2-4hrs to download).
Good luck!
@ali_khalid5518 brother just goto www.sammobile.com download 5.0 firmware for your phone and flash it.

My S4 wont update pls help

I had s4(4.4.2) rooted now I have completely removed the root by flashing stock firmware which I got from this post. I downloaded the turkey 4.4.2 listed under GT-I9500 firmwares although I am in india. Now when I try to update trough settings > software update, I I get msg "The latest updates have already been installed.". So is it happening because I flashed turkey's firmware, pls help me how to get lollipop update.
Flash India (INU) or India (INS) firmware. Either should work, but using the INS CSC is probably best, as that apparently is for unlocked devices. The reason you're not getting an update is the phone is not in the same region as the firmware installed on it.
Stock firmware for the gt-i9500 is here: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9500/INS/
@audit13: Already covered that.
My bad, I didn't click on the links

Which firmware should I flash?

I have a samsung galaxy s4 gt-i9500 and I am on custom rom MIUI7. I have a question. I want to downgrade to 4.3. In the app PHONE INFO (SAMSUNG) which is for samsung phones only, it is showing me VIETNAM as Country of origin. While I have downloaded the firmware where the name of country INDIA is written as origin. If I flash that firmware, would my device brick or would it cause any kind of problems? Does the country of origin matters while flashing firmwares?

Nahh, don't wanna read the entire OP before answering.
In all seriousness, Vietnam is always the country of origin as that is where the phone was manufactured. I say that because in Phone Info on my S4 it always reported Vietnam as the country of origin, however my S4 was a UK model intended for the O2 network. So country of origin doesn't matter when it comes to flashing firmware. What does matter is that the firmware you install on the device matches the country you are located in, if possible. For example, just now an Indian user mentioned flashing Turkish firmware on his Indian S4 and wondered how to fix his phone so he could get updates. The solution for him was to flash Indian firmware, because with the Turkish firmware installed the S4 becomes "tied" to the Turkish region and expects to be in Turkey to get updates.
Flashing Indian firmware won't brick your device. However, Odin my reject the attempt to install the firmware, depending on whether or not your bootloader was updated to support Knox.

I have GT-i9500 also said made in Vietnam. When I received the phone it was on Thailand firmware. I live in US and I am on AT&T network. When LP came out I flashed Russian firmware, Germany firmware, etc.. Check your bootloader info. That is more important. If you bootloader is 4.2 and want to go to 4.3, it won't be a problem. Downgrading the bootloader could trip the knox counter or could brick the phone.

Yes and no. Some countries have multiple firmwares due to carrier modifications. Some countries have no firmware at all as the phone was never released in that country.
