Maybe a silly question but when people calling me the phone starts ringing very low and after 2 sec it goes to max volume how can i make it ring at max volume at once ? i cant find any setting.. thank you.

If you are rooted, install No Increasing Ringtone. Requires xposed framework.

Enlarge Earphone Volume (Engineering Mode)

I just read a thread from other firum in Taiwan.
People said the low earphone volume can be improved by engineering mode.
Here are the steps.
1. Make sure your X10 is in Screen-Lock.
2. press button as the following sequence
m b b m b m m b
m: menu button b: back button
3. Then you can chose "service test" --> "Earphone"
adjust it by the volume button.
I had no problem of low earphone volume before.
So this is just for those who encountered this issue.
If this works, this problem can be solved by firmware setting.
[Update]
After test, this just shows that earphone issue is not from hardware.
Wish SE solve this by 2.1 update.
I think it's easy (maybe not easy for SE guys... )
Adjusted the volume, but unfortunately no one to call right now. Will see if it works soon.
Could you link me to the forum post as well? Thanks!

yes you can adjust the volume setting, it wont save it...
Wow ...excellent
Where do you guys get this stuff... engineering mode? ....wow... it works too
Excellent post
you can download 'any cut ' from the market and just add a shortcut to the desktop.
any cut > new activity > earphone
I dint think it fixes the.low call volume problem though.
I think in R2BA026, the Media Volume Setting is already at it's maximum. Mine does when I opened it and I don't remember adjusting it...

True. It won't save the volume setting

Doesn't work on my x10i for some strange reason.
Yeah.. too bad they won't save it..
Maybe u need root for that
I can adjust the in-ear volume while calling. Just call yourself, keep talking while pressing the volume up button. Some bar saying in-ear volume will be going up.
Also, didn't it say media volume instead of in ear in engineering mode.
If you can't get into engineering...I couldn't also, but then I noticed that I wasn't pressing the menu button(left), but the home(middle) button...

hey gr8! man. i think it worked for me. I just tried calling myself and the busy line voice message seemed to be much louder. I think it has worked for me. Thanks a lot.

I think my biggest problem is mic... People on other side usually have a hard time hearing me, I tried speaking louder but I find it silly to be forced to yell so that person I'm talking to could hear me...

Ringer Volume Low On Max Setting

Hey all,
New to the forum and first post!
Look forward to speaking and getting to know you all.
Question: Anyone having issues with the ringer volume?
Mine is set to Max but it's still so soft/low.
I can barely hear the phone in my pocket or jacket.
Any fix for this?
Thanks.
*added* - also vibrate is very weak!
Get a belt clip case to wear it, you'd look Sooo Cool

LOL! good idea!
but that won't help either.
if i can't hear my phone while it's in my jacket (pocket on the inside of jackets right where heart/below heart is). i doubt i can hear it on the waist!
is it only my phone or are there others out there with the same issue?
and before any smarty pants comments, my hearing is fine!
thanks!
Yep. Same here. Also the vibrate is horribly weak...

i use my own custom notification and ring tones, and have no problem, maybe someone with abit of time can put the stock tones through an audio converter and increase the volume
Here is what to do, (do exactly as I say before you say it did not work).
1- unlock your screen if it is locked
2- press home button (no mater what, just press it)
3- hold the valuem up for 10 sec
now it should be louder
Is there supposed to be any new / different notification after 10 seconds?

m3dteam: lol... that changes nothing. volume is already set on max it's not different changing it that way.
anyone else that has same issues?
anyone else that can help?
=)
I had the same issue I fixed it though by getting this App Volume+ from the Market. Then I downloaded this other app Zedge from the marketplace and replaced my ringtone.

When in call press the volume + and see if the action bar appear on the screen. Move it to the max. If no audio on the earpiece then it possible that you may change the earpiece.

[Poll] Lowest volume down - you prefer silent or vibrate?

I find it odd that the lowest volume down setting is vibrate. To me, that's not the most silent state.
Which way do you prefer it, with the lowest setting being vibrate or actually silent?
I'm fine with it being vibrate. I use QuickSettings for changing profiles anyway.

I agree, lowest setting should be silent, not vibrate.
Not a big deal, but just a bit strange if you ask me...oh well!
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk 2
totally agree.. i hate vibrate mode.
In some ways it makes sense to have the vibrate at the lowest setting. It's easy to get to because all you do is hold the volume button and you're there instead of holding it down and pushing up once. Or worse yet, hitting the volume down as many times as it takes to get down there.
I use vibrate a lot, never silence. If I'm somewhere where I can't mess with my phone or have it distract everything, I put it on vibrate so I at least know I missed something. My girlfriend puts her S3 on silence all the time but if she doesn't put it back on at least vibrate, you can't get a hold of her because of it or if she forgot where she put it down at, you can't call it to listen for anything. Unless I'm in a dead silent room where even a vibrate would be rude, I don't have a need for silent mode.
I voted for it to be vibrate, but should ALL phones have that configuration? Who knows. But for me, it works.

Hah this (but in a nicer way )
Maybe email HTC and suggest that they offer the option to switch between the two in the settings?
I mean, when I'm in a meeting, having a vibrating phone is not going to cut it. If I need to covertly unlock my phone to go completely silent, hitting volume down x 8 times then volume up is kind of silly. And still a bit scary if the volume up didn't register, or registered twice.
I am using vibrate always coz i don't know the different between vibrate and silent....
You guys can change the settings of Vibrate profile so that it is actually silent, can't you?

Volume is very loud stock android 5.0 HELP ???????

Can someone help me because the system, lockscreen, touchscreen sounds ara very loud in lollipop and i already set the volume very low but it is still very loud. i did a fatory reset 3 x but stil the same i am on G900FXXU1BOE5.
its so loud it looks like the loudspeaker is poping out on kitkat it was very good but in lollipop its very loud i dont know why please help
did you go to the main volume control panel and set the "system" slider all the way down? You can also turn the lockscreen sound off until you figure it out.

yes every single slider is all the way down i had this with a earlier build to I thought that maybe would fix this with the new BOE5 but stil the same i did a factory reset wipe data wipe cache wipe dalvik 3 x and still the same very loud and very irritating.
Are you sure it's not something simple like your only turning down 1 of the volumes and not the rest like Call/VM/Media, etc. Maybe it is a problem with the main volume not turning down the rest of the audio sources? I I have an audio widget on one of your screens. I dunno, sometimes we forget the simple solutions
If your rooted you can modify the mixer_profile.XML file. It can raise or reduce speaker volume
There are many guides for this but if u can't find msg me and ill help
