Has anyone used the T-Mobile variant on AT&T? Also if I buy full price from the T-Mobile store does the Note 3 come unlocked or I have to get T-Mobile to unlock it?

TMO Note 3 comes unlocked.
If you buy the T-Mobile Note 3, you may have to get it unlocked (SIM unlocked) from somewhere else. I bought one yesterday to use on AT&T and the rep at the store told me to wait 60 days to get the phone unlocked. I ended up buying a code online in the parking lot and got it an hour later.

Sorry. Didn't even think of sim when I saw unlocked.
I acquired a Sprint n900P Note 3 but I don't use Sprint. Can I get it unlocked to use on another carrier? I'm not seeing any services that offer Sprint Note 3 unlocking, is this possible or anyone have any suggestions?
it's the N900P
mistake - i originally wrote it's the N9005, it's the N900P

I have actually not seen Sprint Note 3 unlocks available Let alone Verizon Samsung Unlocking
Best move to either AT&T or T-mobile phones.
just curious, does the note 3 on sprint have a micro-sim?

yes, it does have a slot for micro-sim. but it does not require a sim card to be inserted to receive/make calls etc. If you put a different carrier's sim card, it displays invalid sim message.
RegionAway
I tried RegionAway on the Sprint Note 3 and it didn't work, can anyone confirm this? I reboot many times and nothing seems to work.
Not lucky for sprint note3 ....to be sad.....

No. T-MOBILE version does not have the CDMA radio REQUIRED to work on VZW.
Hi,
Looking for some advise here.
I want to buy a Note 3 for use outside of the US.
Lack of research led me to purchase a Sprint variant which was internationally locked and is now a lovely brick on my desk.
Is there any model that I can purchase straight off of ebay that is internationally unlocked?
Thanks in advance guys!

the variations I know are N900V (Verizon), N900P (Sprint), N900A (AT&T), N9005 (International?)

ok.. i'll look into that one..
someone told me the Verizon model comes internationally unlocked.. can anyone verify that?
I bought mine from amazon. It is a N9005 LTE international version region unlocked.
Look for the amazon description that says it. You cannot get LTE in USA though.
Mine came without the "region lock" sticker so I assume it is not locked.

trying to avoid buying it brand new.. I just used them for testing and playing around..
Currently have HTC 8X as my main phone.. but I have 3 HTC One that I use for testing in various conditions and ROMS..
Want to try out some of the Samsung line as well..
But that's why I was checking on eBay for the phone.. so I could get a used phone in good condition to play with.

Just ask the vendor to uncheck the reactivation lock on the phone or you can`t boot it up (enter sim code) after a wipe cause it asks you for a password (Samsung account of the former owner).

It will take more than that.. the international lock is set by the service provider.. in the case of Sprint.. as with the phone I bought.. the phone has to be active on their service for 6months and in good standing for them to do the international unlock.
As it is now.. it's locked to US domestic networks only... I can sim unlock and root etc.. but I won't recognize any sim outside of the US.
I'm not sure of any of the service providers have their phone internationally unlocked by default.. I was told Verizon's phones are internationally unlocked.. but haven't been able to get confirmation on that.

Thought you we`re looking to buy the unlocked international N9005 I`am glad i`am not with a US provider, we don`t have these absurd rules here in the EU thank god.

For international use you should get SM-N900 (Exynos octa-core) or SM-N9005 (Qualcomm quad-core).
Hello my fellow Note 3 friends , I am looking into buying a Verizon Note 3 from Swappa. What I need to know is , can a UNLOCKED Verizon Note 3 be activated on GSM networks like ( ATT ) or is it only the UNLOCKED international Note 3's that can only be ported over to different networks like Verizon CDMA and or ATT GSM networks ? and what are the differences ? , which device do you think is best to buy ? Thank You in advance for any help that you can give me .

Verizon does not SIM lock their phones so yes you can put an att or t mobile SIM in and have phone service but.... not full data support
att only hspa+ and phone work so phone and 3.5g data
on t mobile band 4 lte for 4G phone and h+ work
the t mobile note 3 is the one you want it has a unlockable bootloader
I appreciate your response , I wished that I could get and use the t mobile note 3 , but tmobile does not work where I live at and I am on verizon unlimited data now and dont want to give that up because of the tethering capabilities. Thank you for your help.
Same here I got the vzw note 3 I made sure to get a rooted without tripped Knox since developer models are either rare or expensive.
That said the Verizon models while locked down are not locked SIM wise and can in global mode go to any other carrier but the connectivity that they have is phone and 3g guaranteed 4G is a maybe

Knox is a security suite both hardware and software that we don't want when tripped the warranty on ours phones is supposed to be void and it gives nasty messages like unauthorized software is generally something you don't want to have tripped. At this point in time we have no method to reset it either.
