I am having some battery issues, and I cannot understand why.
I was on JB 4.3 stock and rooted, and battery was working fine. But when I updated my tablet to Kit Kat (I flashed purity rom), my battery drained because of google search. On the battery usage, sometimes it had more than 40%.
So, I flashed CM, because I thought it was probably a bug from the rom. But now my battery drains with google keyboard, it keeps downloading data all day long. If I put my nexus on airplane mode the battery doesnt drain.
Any help would be appreciated,

Hey guys, I just downgraded from CM 6 to CM 5.0.7. Everything seems to be working perfectly, only my battery is draining quicker than usual. What's the best solution to solve this?
I had a similar issue with 5.0.8-DS. Ended up letting my phone charge overnight, wiping battery stats from recovery, and letting it drain until the phone turned off without plugging it back up. Worked for me.
Received OTA, installed the 4.3. But after the upgrade (about 48 hours), my battery life has taken a hammering.
Fully charged last night, did literally nothing so far. Just a few calls. No games or browsing at all. But battery is down to 50%. Stock and rooted.
I saw a few posts regarding same. But no definite answer. Any pointers what I should do here?

Not sure why the CPU seems to be running at max frequency for such long time. I think that's causing the issue.
Nexus Battery issue aft 4.3 update
Need some help wrt my nexus 4. Charged the phone to 97% yday night and its currently at 52% aft 14hr 17min. The on screen time is 23mins. Battery stats shows that the phone was kept awake for 13hr 45min. WakeLock detector does not show any battery hogging apps as such. Any idea on how this can be fixed? The phone is on a stock 4.3 ROM.
Honestly i would re-flash the 4.3 images or something.
My phone has been 1 day 2h (or 26h) since last charge, with 2h screen on time and i have 57% battery left. Everything is stock (will flash franco.kernel soon-ish), but stock battery seems real good so far. I do not have loads of apps or anything like that yet - the phone is freshly installed with 4.3 and i only use whatsapp/hangouts/calls/sms/chrome/facebook/google now... no games or heavy use.
Hi, i heard that tegra 7 have high battery drain. I don't have comparassions between 4.3. and 4.4. But on back in time on stock 4.4.2 drain battery fast after I on the wifi. It drain 1%- copule minuts. Before copule times I try make hard reset but this not help. So i decided to root my tab and flash the Shaky kernel. No I have drain on insane level, after I on a wifi i took 7% in 2 min. Anyone have idea what is going on ? I search the internet, forums etc. and there is no problem solution.

Does the battery drain issue occur with the straight ROM (nothing else installed)?

Battery is draining extremely FAST!!
Did everything including wipe system and wipe cache
Using TWRP
Refashed the ROM
But didnt solve the POOR battery drain issue.
Here is a story of the problem i am having
I charge the phone on a evening to 100%
I then go to sleep with 100%
Wifi Is off location is off
The only thing i have is my alarm clock to wake me up (Which works)
Wake up and realise that my battery had dropped to around 70% just on idle with alarm
I used the Wakelock Detector [ROOT] to detect any wakelock stuff
Then greenified pretty much every app except the google and some omni stuff because it said not hibernating.
Reflashed ROM, i have nothing at all installed,NOTHING,no app from the play store
Just stock Gapps.
Still the battery is draining like usual.

By the looks of it, it seems that you are running a custom Rom so I can see why you'd be confused. My question is are you still using a stock battery because I had a similar problem with mine running stock so I flashed Resurrection and I still had battery drain problems. I would recommend purchasing an aftermarket battery from Powerbear on Amazon. It's around $20 which is quite step compared to purchasing another stock battery but (speaking from experience) it's worth the purchase.
