Is there already a kernel for Android 4.4.2? - Oppo Find 5

Hi,
I'm just looking for confirmation here. I searched the "original android development" forum for the
Oppo Find 5 and was unable to find a kernel for android 4.4.2. I concluded that there is no kernel yet.
Is that correct, or am I just blind?
edit: Or can there be no kernel yet, since there are no sources for android 4.4.2?
Thanks in advance!

Yes omnirom, but it isn't listed in xda

Yep I am running omni Rom. I wanted to know if there was another one for some reasons (mostly misunderstandings on my side). Well yeah so this problem has kinda solved itself. Thanks for your reply anyway! Nice to see ppl are takin the time to answer questions.

Firstly, this isn't the right section for this kind of topics, someone should move it!
Secondly, who said that CM10 isn't working? There are some booting builds from ErwinP in this thread, lookup at the last posts, but its still in developing process and much things aren't working good or at all, the biggest of which is the WiFi. This video is just showing one of Erwin's builds

Hi,
believe it or not, I am using cm 10 as my daily driver.
Compiled from source using ErwinP's repo as a starting point. I would like to post my builds and reply in the dev section, however, since I am new here, I need to have some posts first...
Cheers, bennii.

[Q] Best Kernel to extend battery life?

Hey guys,
i bought the Nexus 4 and already rooted it. I'm running JB 4.2.2 stock.
I'd like to remain on the stock ROM, but i am willing to change the kernel in order to be able to extend the battery life.
Undervolting would be nice, too
So which kernel would you recommend?
Never flashed a kernel before, so a how-to (for noobs) for flashing that kernel would ne nice
Thanks!

Best kernels/roms/mods etc threads are not allowed. This thread will be closed soon. Look in the original android development thread .http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1912 There are customs kernels you can flash available in zip files and boot.img`s.

You can post them in the ROM threads. I would start with Matrix kernel.

This thread will probably be closed soon.

Finding your answer doesn't have to mean asking more questions and it certainly doesn't mean you create a new thread to ask it.
Search, read, search some more, download, test and then compare for yourself... Everyone's device and usage are different and so are their opinions.
That is why any Best ROM or Best Kernel or Best Device thread is a waste of time.
Thread closed.

[Q] Help me find information on paranoid android?

Hi,
I've been looking for information on paranoid android, specifically:
Which build of the rom should I install on my Nexus 7 3g?
There are lots of different builds and I found one that was just for my S3,(i9300) but there are no builds that seem to be just for the Nexus 7, so I don't know which one to take.
I've looked for information, even on the paranoid android forum, but perhaps I don't even know what I'm looking for, so if somebody could post me some links to information about the various paranoid android builds and which version I should install on the Nexus 7 as well as any nexus-7-specific installation guides (rooting, booting, ect) I'd be very grateful.
Thanks,
Jamie
Look in original development the nexus 7 forums. Or Google search (nexus 7 root xda)

Thanks for the pointers creep138. If anybody else can help with specific links that help me understand the different paranoid android builds then I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
ps, rather nice that we've now referenced two radiohead songs in this thread....

Brilliant. I'm downloading that now, however, the fragments of information that I _did_ find online pointed me to this one :
pa_grouper-3.15-25MAR2013-010739
What's the difference between pa_grouper and pa_tilapia?
Thanks,
Grouper is WiFi only and tilapia is 3g.

I'm not sure if there any plans for an official build but I'm using an unofficial build on my i9505.

Boy who knows, could be.
But you should ask this on that dev's ROM section.
Also while you're on that tangent it has been discused dozens (if not HUNDREDS) of times in that forum that the KT kernel DOES NOT WORK ON ALL devices. It may work for some but certainly not all.
Spend some time reading through the ENTIRE thread and you'll find the answers you seek.
Good luck.
This^^^
Almost exactly what I was going to say. Its been stated in Sacs thread and you should read/search more.

He can't post in Sac's thread, it was his first post. Don't you need 10 posts to post in a development thread.
I tried to post in sacs and it redirected me here

He may not be able to post there's buy that doesn't mean he isn't able to search the thread to see what people say about Ktoonz. Anyways have you tired to flash a stock kernel?,
