Hi, I just got an AT&T S4.
It's currently on Android version 4.3
Can I use this tool to root/unlock it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2297900
My baseband version is I337UCUEMK2
Once I unlock/root it, can I flash any ROM in this forum?
Thanks

You need to read the threads that are in the General and q & a sections. Start with the pinned threads. The questions you asked show that you have not done any reading and all members are expected to search and read. You will be glad if you do, because if you don't you will more than likely end up with a brick. There are several threads that already have the answers you asked. Good luck.
I read the stickied Q&A, which linked to the thread I posted above. It seems that the tool should be able to root and unlock my MK2 phone. I just wanted to confirm to double check.

It doesn't. Read all section stickies, there is a big guide in the general section telling you what works.

Hint--SafeStrap
You are going to have limitations on that build bc of the locked down bootloader by Samsung

Hello Everyone,
I have a motorola atrix which was given to me by my friend in usa as a gift, And it has a software version of 1.7.5 , I want to update my phone, but i cannot find the guide for rooting this version of firmware and updating it. Is this version unique? wherever i search i only get guides for other versions.
And one more thing, I live in nepal, and i am using my sim card, but if i update the phone will it be carrier locked?
Thanks in advance.

Oh, and one more thing, i have taken a picture of the phone screen, I've attached it.
Sorry for the crappy photo.
First off, this should go in the Q&A section. Second there is a Sticky Thread at the top of this section geared toward NOOBs...you should go back and read it, it has all the info you need.
Sorry for posting here. And regarding that N00b guide, i read it all, and from what i know i think the method for rooting different versions of firmware are different right? and there is no mention for the version that i am using. So i just wanted a little guidance.

This method works on all phones:
http://briefmobile.com/motorola-atrix-4g-root
p.s. Your screenshot says you have 2.2.2 ATT Atrix!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Meaning you can use pretty much any root method - Gingerbreak, Gladroot, preinstall, and CWM root after you unlock the phone.
The auto unlock/root method works wonderfully on our US devices

I have the jelly bean update, but am not 100% sure of the exact firmware at the moment. I am looking for a general starting point, I have already unlocked it, but need to root and install custom recovery. I will answer any questions needed to help me out.
Thank you in advance,

I've been through them, am not sure which one to follow.
I have a very simple question about loki.
It is probably very easy to find the answer, but I am a busy college student and don't even have time to do a simple search. Please just answer the question, don't link me to another thread. (if the answer is a qualified 'no', then please explain)
Can I flash a rom from a different Galaxy S4 (Sprint, T-Mobile, or International), then flash loki, without running into any problems?
Dude, did you read the forum rules before signing up on xda? We're all busy.

Yes. Or NO. Depends on your phone. You will need to read the stickies and forums to GET the answers for your particular situation. Check out stuff about MDL. Check out stuff about MF3. Check out stuff about MJ9 if you took the newest OTA.

I should have specified, I'm sorry.
I never took an OTA past MDL, and I've been on a custom 4.3 rom since August. I recently switched to an AT&T 4.4 rom, but I'm wondering if I can switch to a non-AT&T 4.4 rom.

XDA Rule #1
1. Search before posting.
Use one of our search functions before posting, whether you have a question or something new to share, it's very likely someone already asked that question or shared that news.
If you don't have time to follow the rules, you don't have time to do anything to your phone.
OP, all users,
Being busy is not a reason to violate XDA posting rules. Use search before posting repeat questions. Thanks to all the users who did provide an answer. It is appreciated.
I'm new to rooting, and have a 16GB AT&T S4 that is as you know bloated. I have been told I wanted to root it in order to have a better experience with the phone, what is my 1st step?
Find your build number and read all you can on rooting that build. Threads are in General Section. You will probably be moved to Q&A also--

Absolutely. If someone needs to tell you to do something or not to do it, your not ready for it. Reading the Pinned threads in general and Q&A is a great starting place.
I have tried towelroot ......says device not supported.
Tried kingo.....doesnt work either...
I don't really know what else to try.
I downloaded odin....but don't know how to use it.
Sir,
Please wait until mods will move this thread to the device specific forum.

Check that thread, there are clear instructions to help you out. You will have to flash a different kernel before towelroot will work, but its pretty easy, just follow the instructions exactly.
