I think I know what your problem is.
1. Go to settings and turn off contact sync.
2. Go to Google.com/contacts and delete EVERYTHING.
3. Use go contacts to delete duplicates.
4. Turn on sync again.
Done!

That's true, but believe it or not, I've had this issue for at least two years so as you can tell, it's not a high priority. Plus I have done this a few times in the past. I've heard that the best place to do it is on the website, but that way is a lot harder than what has been suggested here.

I am telling you to delete all the contacts from a PC. Just select all and press delete. And go contacts is pretty easy too. The full process will take like 15 minutes, that's all.

I thought i'd try to see what syncing flickr does. It does nothing great, but now how can I remove this sync?
There is no option to remove, whereas everything else that is synced liked google or facebook allows me to remove the account.
Thanks.
That would've been my best advice if you hadn't already tried. I don't have a Flickr account so I wouldn't be able to replicate the issue.

The funny thing is that you don't even need an account to sync. Go into the sync section, select flickr, and you can put in whatever name you want.
Hmm alright then. I'll check it out later and see if mine does this as well. You just want to be able to delete it because it isn't doing anything right? It's not actually harming your device?
Sent from my awesome Vibrant using XDA App
Not an answer, but I just email pics to my flickr account. Best option in my opinion.

Correct. It is not harming my device, but simply adding another line item to the list of services to sync. I would just like it to not be there anymore since I don't want to use it.

Also in my contacts group area I now get a "unknown" group from flickr that I also cannot remove because of the sync.
Had the same exact problem. Ended up doing a factory reset to get rid of it. What a PITA!

Makes sense. Finally off work so I will be able to play with it. Sounds like you all have the same deal going on. Maybe a software update will add the ability to delete since a factory reset is a drastic step.

Yea, I ran into a few issues which required a factory reset. Such simple things to code for and left missing =/
Ran into the same issue. Didn't use my phone, used someone else's that has a Flickr account.
Looks like you're going to have to wait for a software update or a dev to figure out how to solve this. Sorry I couldn't help ya out

Is it just me or are facebook contacts not working? As in they won't sync with the people app on my phone. It did not work for me in a stock rom or the euroskank rom and i was just wondering how to fix it if there is a possible way. Like is this a nexus thing or something, idk any input would be appreciated!:cyclops:
Does not work for me either with my N4 or N7. Easy way around this is to use haxsync.

Facebook does not use the proper way Google wants for contact syncs, so that's why it doesn't work on pure Android OS.

The fix is for Facebook to fix their Contact sync. Or use 3rd party programs.
Facebook thinks you don't own your contacts. If someone removes you as a friend Facebook things that contact info should dissappear from your phone. That's not right and that's not what Google allows.

The profile pictures sucked, though... I had haxsync, but found that Contact Sync for Facebook does a far better job getting statuses, bdays, and most important, those nice looking, hi res profile pics

You can revert to old Talk app by following simple steps given in the link below:

My 4.2.2 rom came with hangouts already installed so uninstalling updates wont put Talk back on.

I noticed there was an update to the Hangouts app on September 30. I'm still using talk because when I tried hangouts when it first came out it was very difficult to use. Has anyone downloaded the updated hangouts app? According to some comments I read, you now have the ability to see who is online. Has the new update improved the functionality?

It's much quicker now. When you first boot (or if you kill the app) it still takes a second to open Hangouts, but returning to the app doesn't reload it every time like it did on the last version. It also seems much faster when moving between hangouts/opening a new hangout.

Long time follower (pre "OG Droid" days) first time question poster. I was reading about the "Create Collage" feature on the Note 3 so I went to give it a shot. The problem is, that option doesn't appear in my menu. I'm completely stock, not even Rooted.
Any thoughts on what could be happening? It just seems so strange that this is completely missing. See for yourself in the attached screen shots.

Have you selected at least 2 pictures yet? I just tried and mine works.
Edit: haha just actually looked at your screens. Yeah that's weird. Did you freeze or delete any Samsung apps?

I don't remember uninstalling any Samsung apps and the only disabled apps are Verizon bloat and the Kindle app. It feels like it's just missing somehow. I'm hoping to factory reset as a last resort.

meaning that page only shows apps that I purchased and not include free apps that I downloaded? If that is the case do u know where I can view a list of all my previously downloaded apps? I'm trying to find an app I downloaded last time but I can't remember the name, thats why I need like a history or something. Hit my apps when you're installed apps show swipe right and it should show every app you have installed as long as its still available on play. Sometimes it doesn't show for a while after updating or flashing a new rom . If it still isn't showing after 24 hours I would wipe play data in settings and sign in again and wait if it still doesn't show you could try some of the market fixer apks. Or report it to Google. There should be showing.
