Taker it back to your shop. Since it's not rooted. That way you're safe
Of you hack around to get it working you might void warranty

Since it's visible in screenshots, it's 100% software. Flash the stock images and see if that helps
Thanks ill give that a go.. i did find it a little weird that it showed on screenshots too
Still doing it after flashing factory image... no apps installed or anything custom... its so strange
I had a HTC sensation 3g that did this I ended up having to get a hardware replacement to fix it. I never had that problem before or after that phone

I'm having a similar issue with my brand new nexus 4 that i unboxed yesterday. It had the issue with stock and now still persists on CM10.1 with franco kernel. not sure what is the resolution. did you manage to fix yours?

Picked up a nexus 7 2012 to repair. tried to flash ended up screwing the bootloader. Not a issue bought a new board for it and swapped it out. With the new board it wont boot up unless you slightly press on the tegra3 chip and when it does it is mostly normal but all brown color seems to be missing. any ideas? ill post some photos later.. about to give up this thing is pissing me off.

That would piss me off too... I'm at a loss
I would send back the new board.

Two Nexus 7 stuck in bootloop

I got an email from my aunt today and both my niece and nephew's Nexus 7 tablets wont boot up anymore. I think they took an update that bricked them both. They are codenamed grouper which I think is this 2012 version right? Anyway, Ill attach a picture of what they look like and maybe it is a common enough issue that the people here on this subforum can help me out on what to do I have used a Nexus before so I know how to do fastboot commands and ADB stuff and can push a ROM and kernel that way, but my aunt tells me that neither device will come up on the PC when plugged in even after downloading the newest drivers. Ill see for myself tomorrow, because I doubt she downloaded fastboot and ADB drivers to try. But figured I would post here about it and hope I can get some answers to start me off on what to do when I pick up the tablets. Both tablets are fully stock so no unlocking or rotting done to them, they were purchased last year.

I got them working. It had some issues because it kept saying invalid argument when I tried to flash stuff, but I eventually got it and now they are working again and both running unlocked with CM11 M9

[Q] [SCREEN PERMANENT DAMAGE AFTER 5 REBOOTS][Looking for a fix)

Hi XDA, i´m new in the forum, and i just want something of help, i have my G2 D800 for 6 months, always Stock, until i got bored and installed VANIR AOSP Rom, i was watchin' some videos and the Galery app started to Fail, the only solution was reboot, failed and failed again so i reboot 5 times, then the cellphone frezzed with a screen like the TWRP recovery back but without the letters (im givin just an example) then rebooted with some lines on the right side of the screen and never dissapeared ( i left the phone 30 min OFF thinking that was a warming problem), now the problem is that i live in Bolivia, so i'm not Able to get a Warranty Repair, the only thing i can do is identify the problem (with yours help) buy the parts on Ebay/Amazon and repair with a unautorized repair guy here......
Waiting for a soon answer, Grettings to all!
PS: SORRY FOR THE ENGLISH
I really don't know what could be causing it but maybe when you held your power button down you damaged the cable/connector for the display??
Or you somehow messed up your OS with the reboots.
this is the damage
Its exactly like this

Asus Zenfone 5 Debrick Question

Guys, good morning.
I wasn't doing anything here at home and decided to try to revive my old war buddy, the Zenfone 5. It happens that, since that time, I already knew that it will have a hard brick, but I didn't have the will to try to solve it.
Today, when I tried to use the link method:
Debrick Asus Zenfoen 5 with no fastboot, no recovery, and ruined partitions.....
Few days back, I bricked my zen5 with no droidboot and recovery. I even had no partitions. This is how i fixed mine and reverted back to stock. Note: If you need to fix the fastboot/droidboot/bootloader only, then proceed upto step 15 but you...
