[Q] Can this be unbricked? [SOLVED]

I have a droid 2 a955 (so not the global) and I am in Italy (GSM only, no CDMA)
So I power the phone and get stuck on the 'activate the phone' screen
I can get to the stock bootloader D2.35 but even if I flash some SBF file I will still be stuck in the 'phone activation screen' , right?
Is there any solution besides travelling to the US to activate the phone?
Any custom SBF that allows to bypass this screen?
I would be happy to use this phone only as an android based ipod touch since at the moment is a brick...

Hi,
Can you elaborate on what screen to do that?
In the activation screen I see at the bottom the buttons BACK and SPEAKER
in the previous screen BACK and ACTIVATE
Am I supposed to touch above the buttons?

Just touch the black corners it's not a button but it gets you past the activation screen.

[Q] Issue with G1 touchscreen

hey guys i need some help...my g1 have a touchscreen issue!!
the screen sometimes is not responding to touch and sometimes when it responds it is not accurately.For example at times i try to bring down the notifications bar and it doesnt goes down never...or maybe i try to open an app in the homescreen and it pass to another page..
what can it be???!!

Mine is doing the same day.
It's my kids phone. They got everyone's my hand me down.
I have to use the trackball sometimes when screen is unresponsive.

[Q] my x10's upper side touch screen dont work !!

my phone felt on the ground and the touch screen of the upper side of the screen is not working anymore..and in lebanon phone stores dont know what to do!!...so anyone have any idea?
P.S : THE SCREEN WORK NORMALY BUT THE TOUCH DOES NOT WORK...nees help !

Sounds like you need to replace the digitiser.

Hmm sometimes my touch screen doesnt respond to anything but if i drag my status bar down and back up it works all good again o.o

[Q] Screen Issue of grand 2

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have problem with lcd display which shows bubbles or like water when gently pressed in center of the screen. Once I leave the screen it goes away automatically.
Please help.

yes! i am having the same problem...
i thought that it would be air pocket of screen guard...
the rainbow dot appears on center of screen when phone is exposed to vapour mist (in my case)

So is it a hardware problem or i can ignore this issue. Because i can replicate this issue anytime by gently pressing the screen through my finger.

when i press finger on center of my phone (either gently or roughly)
the dot dosent shows up...
it shows up only in certain spontaneous conditions..
well,
first we'll hear more persons having same issue,
if no one haves that issue,
i suggest u give ur phone to samsung and request for new one as it is a hardware issue..

slide to answer not work

Hey guys I have been experiencing issues when I receive calls. I try to slide to answer and it doesn't recognize my finger the first few times which has caused me to miss calls. It is like it is hung up and takes time to recognize finger detection. My family and neighbor have both complained about this. What gives? Should I report these issues to Samsung? Anyone else having this problem? So many glitches south this phone.

Yeah I have this issue as well. Haven't found a fix other than change to pressing home button to answer.

Sliding with my thumb finger to answer does not work
Sliding with my index finger works.
Looks like the touch screen sensibility depends on which finger you use to slide.

I've found that if you rest your finger on the green circle for about a half second before you slide, it will work every time.

+1. Samsung seemed to have changed the way you answer your calls. Was a bit frustrating at first, but am used to it now.
