Hi guys,
As you may know, there are two concepts related to the "country":
1- What country the Note 3 has been made for. This info is related to CSC (region), and can be obtained by using some app, e.g my app Phone INFO...
2- In what country the Note 3 was made. This info is related to the Samsung's factory location. I see some pictures of Note 3 that has a label "Made by Samsung" or more detailed likes "Made in COUNTRY by Samsung" (picture attached below). So interesting if we can know in which country our Note 3 was actually made.
Any clues? May be we can get this information from IMEI range, S/N range? Thanks for any suggestion.

US model made in China here, battery also assembled in China from Samsung parts, but where are you going with this? The parts are made all over the world, the final assembly is mostly done by robots.

Can you put your S/N into the website http://sndeep.info/en and see if it show "made in china"?
Just to make sure if this site show the correct info.
Thank you.
Any idea?

It shows Tianjin, China , Nov 2013, clean, I bought it around BF, seems just about right.
Is that site in Russia? It only shows 2 language options: Russian and English.

Thank you. And it also shows "Made in china" in the back of the phone, right?
You can also use my app Phone INFO (link given above) to check for the manufacturing date and compare.

Perhaps it's useful to include where the device is made. I know Samsung mobile devices are made in different countries and I've seen South Korea, Vietnam and pretty sure China and probably others. I prefer South Korea and haven't had any issues with past devices.
My galaxy note 3 does the exact same thing. Should I get a replacement? I have the N9005 Model . I bought mine in Australia

On the back under battery:
- Made In Korea by Samsung
- Made In Vietnam by Samsung
- Made In China (by Samsung)
- Made by Samsung: possible China or Vietnam. If you are in Europe, it's mean Vietnam. If you are un other like HongKong, Arab ... it's China!
Vietnam usually has worse assembly quality than China as manufactures just started recently to establish factories over there for lower costs.

As I know about S2, S3, Note 2 quality, Vietnam made are better than China made. Samsung factory in Vietnam also is the biggest in the world. But I think we need more examples this time about Note 3 QC
My note 3 made in vietnam. Home button is perfect
N9005 - Australian version Made in Vietnam. Button moves slightly, not as much as yours though.
My phone is made is Vietnam and my home button is not a tight fit.
Also, I was the first one to point it out in my thread here, which I created on 25th Sept after receiving the phone.
Just a heads up, there's already a longer thread on this same subject in the correct forum (i.e., Q&A):

I have a T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy Note 3. I dropped it slightly and the whole thing shattered, LED screen cracked as well. I am looking to purchase a replacement and I see original ones on eBay but they were taken off of the CDMA versions of the phone (either Verizon or Sprint). If I were to purchase one, would it work on mine?

I'm able to do it myself. I just wanted to know before I purchased one.
If they are as generic as stated, then yeah no reason you couldn't do it yourself. - It isn't an easy feat from what I have seen though. - Best thing to do would be email Samsung or a phone shop and ask if the screens are indeed compatible for all models just to be safe.
I'm not able to find a original samsung screen replacement for the Note 3. Anyone know of a legit shop or site that sells them?
Never purchased one myself, but just did a quick search on google.. this place looks okay, dont take my word for it though, i did not research the seller. They are advertised as OEM parts though.

So last week i bought a galaxy s5 on criagslist for a good price but i think i got scammed. The phone is having quite a bit of network problems and wifi. The model number on the phone says its a SM-G900(_). there is no letter at the end of it. also i factory reset the phone and the rom has AnTuTu Benchmark installed so that tells me it is not the stock rom. it looks like i might have bought an overpriced paper weight. i would like to find the original rom for this model and install it. i put up 2 links of images that could help. i usually never post anything because i always find what i'm looking for by searching but i cannot find an answer to this.

Do an imei check and download CPU z and check the chip set. It should say either snapdragon 801 or exynos
From the screenshot you posted, I think you have a g900s, which is apparently the Korean version.
I suggest you take it back to the guy if you are not satisfied.
Qualcomm snapdragon

It's weird all over it. Seems like it's a fake model.
The included Antutu is a giveaway, it's tricked. Try some other benchmark.
Also download phone INFO from the play store. It should be more accurate.

An easy way to check if your device is a knock-off is to check if the finger print sensor works!
Knock-offs don't have it!
it's fake.
your phone's cpu is mt6582.
samsung doesn't use mediatek processor.

Got my Nexus 6P yesterday in the UK. It's great!
I'm curious about the 'CE' text printed on the bottom panel on the back of it, a lot of the photos I've seen make it look like other devices don't have it which looks a lot cleaner, I don't think it's just the lighting/angle.
Is it true some do and others don't have it? If so any reason why?
Here's a picture (not mine) of the printed text I mean.

Think it depends on the country regulations, the units that ship to my country(India) have them as well.
Yea I think it's based on each country. I know the phones in US had to have that info printed too until last few years when FCC made that info not required no longer. I know my Nexus 4 and 5 both had it printed.
i'm more concerned about that ugly-ass barcode on the back.
Barcode is obviously just a sticker..
But yeah I guessed it'd be regional. Thing is I'm sure iPhone etc doesn't have those in the UK anymore so I'm not sure why these do. Not a huge deal as I'll be putting a skin on it anyway.

In the US, the FCC has allowed that info to be placed in a software location rather than on the phone itself. Probably just different in your country.

It actually is not an IMEI number. I removed my sticker yesterday. It just is the phone model number and some other info. Nothing related to MEID or IMEI.
I don't have the CE marking on my phone in the US.

Just looked at my sticker, I'm in England and it does include the IMEI number.
Does anyone know if the same printed information is there on all international versions of the phone? There seems to be two SKUs, the US version and an internation version. I'm guessing it might be printed on all the international ones but I was kind of hoping there was some region where it wasn't printed that I could import it from if I decide to buy it.

The phone in the picture and the accessories also the box seems to be 99.9% genuinely. Nevertheless you can check the imei to see what comes out. Anyway the price for the condition shown in the pictures and not to say that a wireless charger is included is to good to be true so be very very carefully. If you can, check the ratings of the seller.
