Goodevening!
I was on MJ7 firmware , and somehow i had attached the double click of the home button to open the Quick Compose Option of the Chomp SMS
(By accident , i double tapped the home button and it opened an option where i could choose between Svoice , Google Search and Quick Compose).
Today i upgraded to the new 4.4.2 Polish firmware , and restored my backup .
Using the same settings as before i cannot choose how to use the double click.
It makes me Use S Voice , whether i want or no. Also it seems not to recognize the quick compose at all.
How could i re-assign the Double Click of the Home button , without any 3rd party apps?
Any help would be useful! Thanks in advance

Hi!
I'm really satisfied with my X10, and I will try some ROMS when they arrive.
But a simple question, I can't search because I don't know what to search for in english. (Didn't find anything in swedish)
If I'm playing a game, I receive an sms. How to change between programs? For now I have to press home button, check sms and start my game again in menu.
Is there an easy way to just switch programs?
There was an easy way.
Just hold the middle button and choose program.
Easy!
hey everyone, been a long time well i got rid of my MT3G got and HD2 despised it now i got this. this may have been posted about somewhere but i couldent find it so i apologize if it is.
i installed chomp sms and i was wondering if there was a way to replace the scok messageing button on the lil menu bar deal with the chomp sms shortcut. i do have root access.
thank yall
1. Open your Applications launcher
2. Tap the Menu button and select View Type->Customizable Grid
3. Tap the Menu button again and select Edit
4. Drag the ChompSMS icon over the Messaging icon. You should see a "swapping" animation as the icons rearrange themselves.
I am trying to get this to be a sticky, for this very reason. Good question, but its been answered a lot:

Hello everyone!
Saw the S5 announcement few days ago and noticed the changes made to the button layout. I'd like to know if there's a way to remap the menu button to work as a recent apps button. And better yet if it's possible to assign the "menu" function to a long press. I've searched Google but all the alternatives I see are for HTC phones or for onscreen buttons.
Thanks in advance!

Look for an app called 'Xposed Additions'. It will do both the things you want.
Installed it. Tried to configure the remapping but it's not doing anything. I hit the "remap" and a window pops up that says key code and it appears that it's waiting for some input, I hit a button but nothing happens.

Forget it, just nailed it. Reinstalled, rebooted and all is working as I want to. Thank you!

Xposed Addition doesnt support KK.
Is there another way for this other than Gravity Box for TW Kitkat?

How about MenuBeGone, I'm running this on my 4.4.2 SM-N9005
And it got option to select apps that you don't want to have overflow button on them (like on Action Memo that 3-dot menu replaces delete -button, so you can't delete any memos.. but where do you need menu at all on Action Memo, so just uncheck it on MBC and you're good)
Edit: And it also can remap long press on menu button to show menu (while menu button is remapped to open recent apps)

Which build are you on? (also towelrooted?)
So you remapped menu button=recent and long press=menu. (like on the S5?)
I dont get what you mean with the Action memo though. But from the Description of the App I can tell that youre talking about the Whitelisting?
Thanks.

Yes, some apps get "broken" look when 3-dot menu is enabled on them (like contacts) and yes, long press on "settings" button opens menu, while short opens recent tasks.
About Action Memo see screenshot: menu button "hides" detelete if not whitelisted from MBC
Edit: to make it clear, that module enables "3-dot menu button" on all applications by default. From module settings you can disable that button on selected apps. That module also sets devices settings button to open recent tasks and long press to open settings (so by long pressing you can reach menu also on apps you have disabled to use 3-dot menu)

I got it, thanks. Tried out and its working fine. In Nova launcher the Menu button blinks a lot though - on long press.
There is a certain delay. But I think i will try xposed additions some time later but for now its fine i guess
Thank you!

hi
what i understand from your second question is that you want to "change /modify " home button functions with Nova launcher ?
If so ,yes, you can change /configure home button .to open basic any Nova/app /shortcut function... etc ..
Nova /Gestures and Buttons /longpress top option ( home icon ) and choose ( ? ) etc ..
hope this is what you looking for ?
Good luck
Hello guys,
i have stock P9 Lite, and the one thing that is driving me crazy is the Home long press button Google assistant pop-up. I Know you can turn off the assistant application by switching it to "none" under help and phone input in the phone settings, i did that, the fucntion got disabled successfully, but after couple of hours ( usually during the night ) it magically comes back to be turned on again....
Should i disable somewhere something more also?
Thanks

Personally i am using Swipeup Utility (sorry no link new user can't link) . You can set it at the long press handler and then you set it to do no action (or select one of custom actions)
https://android.gadgethacks.com/how...ndroid-device-switch-back-google-now-0174676/ try this if can help you
You have to set the custom action "Google Now On Tap" to long press home button, it will open google assistant because now on tap was replaced by assistant.
Disable google app
