So yesterday I rooted my i9505 for the first time using motochopper and installed the following rom: I9505_-_Official_Google_Edition_4.4.2_by_Jamal2367_v11
I powered phone and everything was working perfectly, until I inserted sim card in my phone, after a while, while browsing hangouts phone froze and got stock in boot logo. I tried to access the Recovery mode but it is simply not working was getting recovery is not seandroid enforcing on top left. I can only get into download mode!!
I have already tried flashing several CWM with odin and even flashing stock rom with oding but still phone is not booting nor going into recovery Please help me out I have been trying for 3 hours :/

- Install the new drivers: HERE
- Update ur ODIN
EDIT: How to use ODIN -> HERE
Tryvthis first:
Boot to recovery by pressing VOLUME UP + POWER.
when you see blue writing in top left corner release the power button but keep holding volume up until you're in recovery.
P.S The Home button is not needed on i9505 to boot to recovery or download modes.

This worked, and phone booted in recovery mode (not touch that was previously installed), wiped data/factor reset however phone is still not booting. I think phone has no rom manager installed, how can I proceed to install rom manager and flash stock rom or root it again?

My s4 doesn't boot anymore.
I can get into recovery.
I can flash another custom rom but still stuck at booting.
I did read somewhere that i need to wipe data/factory reset, but once i do that my phone just reboots and gets stuck again?
I can't flash a rom/recovery through odin since i can't boot my phone and so odin won't see my phone connected...
Any ideas how to get my s4 working again?

Flash philz recovery using odin and for that to work u need to have your phone in download mode
Unplug Power off then press volume down / home / power button all together till a screen comes there press volume up and connect to odin and flash recovery
Then goto recovery and wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache then reboot
If still stuck at boot flash stock firmware using odin using above method and then wipe cache / reset the reboot
Edit : also be clear abt what u saying I can go to recovery and flash rom it's confusing

My phone won't boot in recovery or download mode.
Doesn't respond to anything....
I have tried flashing my phone back to stock two times using stock MJ7 firmware. I get a Pass in Odin, the phone bootloops, I then unplug the battery. wait a minute put it back in and Hold UP +Power+Home for recovery, it says recovery in the top corner but just reboots the phone. The phone loads up and my custom lockscreen is still there even after attempting to restore stock firmware. it then says such and such stopped then the phone just crashes. Any suggestions?

Hi everyone!
Today I attempted to install a ROM for the first time using ROM Manager. I flashed Clockwork Mod Recovery and then downloaded CyanogenMod and tried to install it (pressed Reboot / Install in ROM Manager). My phone then went into Download/Odin mode. It then didn't do anything for ~10 minutes, and after taking out the battery, the phone still went into Download mode. I got it to boot normally by pressing Home + Power + Volume Down and then pressing cancel when it prompted me to enter download mode. However, every time I attempt to boot into recovery, normally or ClockWork, the phone just goes to download mode. I even tried to do a factory reset, and the phone booted again into Download Mode.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Thanks!

Swyped from MK2 Dark Carnage SS Edition
I have the galaxy note 3 n900 exynos model.
my baseband version is : n900ddudna1
kernel version : 3.4.39-679903 / SWDD5518 #1
build number : UDNB2
every time I try flashing with odin ( 3.09 / 3.07 ), odin resets my device after 2 seconds saying PASS, but when i go to recovery , it is still appears to be official samsung recovery. doesnt matter if i flashed the latest CWM or TWRP....
when i try installing CWM from zip file over the external SD card. it starts to install the recovery, and then suddenly i get the following messege : "footer is wrong signature verification failed" . and it reboots the phone and nothing has changed...
I had installed CWM recovery in the past with some roms, but this entire hell trip started after i install new hong kong official NBD4 rom...
the only thing i can do right now, is flash original verified samsung roms from sammobile website...
any idea what could be causing this / a solution... ?
thanks in advance..

what happens is, there is a blue line that shows the progress of the CWM flash in downloading mode... once the blue line gets to the end it just stays this way and Odin says : "pass". i turn off the phone , take out the battery , replacing the battery back to its place. then i press volume up + power button + home button and a red android symbol appears. then its doing something and says " rebooting in 10 seconds" . when it finishes to reboot , i still have the original stock recovery and i still cant install any Roms on my device while getting an error saying " signature verification failed"...
im starting to get really despearate here...
cant install CWM in Note3 (N900DDUDNA1)

You could always try TWRP if you still can't get it to work or Phil's touch recovery.
Note:
Goo doesn't install TWRP for the note 3 the binary to install maually is on their site

Hi, I flashed this monday the leak of Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy S4 (9500) and after I followed all the steps one by one I'm the only one in earth that isn't able to start the phone in the recovery mode. For this reason I can't flash gapps. I am not able to downgrade even because for the KNOX.
Someone has the same problem? Can anyone figured out how to enter in recovery mode?
P.D: I have attempted to do it with the buttons (vol down + pow + home) and with adb and the usb connected to the phone. Anyone was the solution.

after flashing Rom with Odin you have to flash openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-klte.tar
Installing Recovery and rooting steps :
1- download twrp from here
2- go to flash mode
3- run Odin load file as AP then click start
4- go to recovery by powering off your device and hold volume up + home + power button
5- when you want to reboot to system Twrp will ask you to install SuperSU (rooting your device)
6- swipe to confirm
More info here

I did all of this, still can't to initiate in recovery mode.
i had the same problem, try downloading philz (philz_touch_6.48.4-i9500) or twrp recovery (openrecovery-twrp-2.8.4.0-i9500) and install via odin (AP box)
I didn't try the above i just installed the rom again, doing this:
- only the AP file
- uncheck "auto reboot"
- After the process finishes dont reboot the phone to tw, just go to the recovery mode and the wipe cache/data
- Install philz or twrp via odin

So, flash the ROM again with nothing more than the AP box fullfiled and then, when it finishes hold (vol up + power + home). Wipe cache, restart and flash custom recovery.
Am I right?

It can not, because in the first flash has deleted the modem, bootloader, csc and others, so if flashing only AP will not operate the phone, only the PDA.
And masicen these questions have to do in the same thread firmware also behold the solution.
Flashes the firmware again, to start turn it off and go into Recovery by: Volume Up + Home + Power in this order and holding down until you see the Samsung logo there S4 loose and enter the stock recovery, do wipes and restart it, then download Philz Touch in its latest version and flash it with Odin and restart turn it off and try to enter the recovery now.-
