I flashed franco kernel, and now i feel stock kernel maybe better.
How can i get it back?
I'm using stock android 4.1.2 and franco kernel (with rooted and unlocked)
As long as you leave the volume mods alone Franco is better than Stock kernel
Or try this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1907796

Hi everyone!!! Everytime when booting my phone, it's stuck on Google Logo, I have to to fastboot it with franco r14 kernel in order to get it booting done. Is there any way so I dont have to fastboot everytime I restart my phone, flash to stock kernel or franco r15 ???
I tried to flash faux123 kernel but it just did not work, stuck on Google logo...
If I recall correctly, franco kernel uses a different ramdisk so before you switch to another kernel you have to return to stock (kernel)
I suggest return to stock kernel, then flash franco r15.

This is what faux suggest to use to reset to stock kernel, for stock ROM only.

If you're in franco, before you switch to another kernel you have to return to stock kernel.
I don't know why you're stuck with Google logo in the first place with franco, but if you're just switching between kernels, especially when there is franco kernel involved, return to stock kernel will likely solve the problem.
Hi, complete noob here.
Recently I flashed JellyBlast v3 by Avijit, but since it is now a banned rom and I will no longer get support and updates, I would want to change rom and kernel.
Am I on stock kernel or not? because in about phone settings, it doesn't show that I am running kuro kernel, it only shows that I am running [email protected]#1 (stock i think)
and if my kernel is on stock, can i flash a new rom right away???
flash kuro kernel instead
Yes you are on stock kernel and secondly it depends on the ROM's instructions and requirements since not all ROMs have the same procedure for installation.
Sent from my GT-S5360 using xda app-developers app
yes u r on stock kernel.
use odin for flashing stock rom or you can restore the backup you created before (if backuped)

Hi,
Can I use the M-kernel with C-Rom?I am currently using the smoothrom v5.3.Do I flash the kernel after flashing C-Rom and gapps?
You can use M kernel with C-rom. And yes, flash it after rom and gapps. Personally, I flashed rom and gapps, rebooted, set up N7, then rebooted to recovery to flash kernel. It may not matter, just my preference. Enjoy!
I'm currently on Franco Kernel but want to change to ElementalX kernel.
I've read that you can't just install the new kernel over the old kernel is that true?
Will I need to do wipe my device in order to install?
It's recommended to dirty flash stock or your rom, depending on what you use. No need to wipe anything.

Flash a stock boot.img (which is the stock kernel) first then flash SuperSU if you want root, then flash elemental.
