I got my nexus 5 to trade on craigslist ....is trading for a g2 worth it??? I know battery and camera is a bit better... Do I get the advantage????
Also there is a kernel here for better battery life on the g2 right???
And will a T-Mobile unlocked g2 work well with at&t????

Hi all,
I recently broke my dell streak, and looking for a new phone now...
I can't make my mind betwenn optimus 2x, atrix 4g and nexus s, thought will get your input on this.
I am ok with rooting and loading custom rom... may be not changing the screen of the mobile that's how I broke the streak
How is the gingerbread stock rom for Atrix 4g.. I couldn't get any review about that.. are they buggy ?
How about the camera, does the atrix 4g stack upto lg optimus camers?

As regards to what phone, my choice is tha Atrix, had the Nexus s running ICS but it is slow compared to the Atrix also had a streak and you may find coming down in size 5-4 inch screen may take getting used to as did with my friend ;-)

I am more inclined towards Atrix... you are right 5inch to 4 inch is going to take a while to settle down. Hopefully the resolution helps?

Personally I'll probably not ever buy another motorola phone as samsung and htc devices have a much larger development following. I had been a big htc fan for years but the atrix looked so appealing with its specs. When the BL finally got unlocked that made it alot better, don't get me wrong. I have liked my atrix!

I am going to give Atrix a try, however I would need to buy the European model as the US one doesn't work with my network. Wondering if that will be ok for the custom rom? Will I be able to load all custom rom for the European model too?
A lot of the Blur ROMs are AT&T-based, so you'd need to use the RAM fix or Faux's kernel to get full compatibility on an international model.
Why did you upgrade to the LG G2?
Battery, Bigger Screen without going too big with the phone, LTE (not that i need it yet), and just because i got it at a good price, was deciding between Nexus 5 or G2 so i went with the G2. Came from a Nexus 4.
EDIT: Oh yeah better speaker than the N4 (and the N5 I think), build quality is good too.
Note 3 was too big and I never used the pen.

My beloved Droid DNA had a cracked screen. I couldn't justify the cost of repairing it vs getting the G2.
Wanted something new after using my Galaxy S1 (Now my trusty backup phone) for 3 years. Do I need to say more?
G2 seemed like the obvious choice. Waited a bit for the N5 but I'm glad I got the G2, as the 16GB version of N5 costs the same as my 32GB G2 here in Norway.
My Gnex started to slow down and I wanted something stable. The G2 beat out the Moto X by passing the 'how will the device be 2 years from now' test and the Nexus 5 by me being a Verizon customer. So far, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and am looking forward to rooting soon!
Lots of the same reasons above, no Nexus on VZW, GNex showing it's age, ease of rooting.
Really like this device now that I've had it a bit.
The Nexus 5 wasn't coming to Verizon and I couldn't stand my Galaxy Nexus battery life anymore.
I just switched from Verizon to T-Mobile so have access to both the G2 and Nexus 5. In that regard, G2's battery life vs N5's crappy juice won out.
Not to mention that T-Mobile only carries that 16GB version of the N5 for some stupid reason.
After spending a 8 months with a Spectrum 2 and no Dev. support, I was going crazy with Rom withdrawal.

I had a Galaxy S3 that was affected with the sudden death glitch. It was the specs that caught my attention, but ultimately it was playing with the demo at an AT&T store that won it for me. Got a good deal on it too. $115 after taxes.

Firstly because of sound player. 192/24. Secondly camera quality especially 60fps. Then 5.2 screen also was important thing.
I just got mine for free plus 30 for activation. Should get here tomorrow. Haven't even used one yet.

Both phones are great indeed.
The LG G2 is like a cousin to the Nexus5.
If you're one who likes to play with Android and like the stock OS then the Nexus 5 is what you're looking for.
If you are more into the LG UI for Android and the features of the LG then LG G2 is for you.
One major difference is the pricing here!!
I'm using the Nexus 5 and I'm loving it. The only con I find is the low battery given in it. The 2300mAh battery is a little low for a power user like me.
But then again you get some you loose some!!

I have been thinking about getting the G2 for a little while. I'm with Tmobile and they have it for $500 but I'm wondering if there are any phones coming out in the next couple of months that would be worth waiting for. I have a Nexus 4 and it's been good but I like the G2 because of it's screen size and battery life. The updates on the Nexus are great to have but I think battery life might be more important to me.
Is there a phone coming out soon that you will be getting?

If you're going to upgrade, sign up for jump and you get a phone every 6 months. Always new better phones coming out.
If you want the latest and greatest then waiting for the s5 or the g3 will be better for you.

i am going to stick to g2 for a year maybe more.this phone is great.the minor thing that i hate is the phone speaker.(coming from xperia play great stereo sound that i miss).
but the headset is great.and battery life and speed is awesome.this phone flys,and no need for custom roms.
the s5 and g3 is going to be awesome but i dont want a bigger phone.its just a phone and g2 is big already.

I was thinking about these but the S5 might not be at T mobile till June and the G3 after that. I thought the Z1s would be nice but I like the G2 over it.

That is True My Trusted Razr M Felt More Premium LOL
But the Gigantic Screen makes me look away on the Premium Back. The front is so more Premium than the Galaxy Fronts xD.
And the screen size just Blows the Nexus 5 Display out the water.
The only Device I was kind of wanting to get was the HTC One... It felt nice but LCD was smaller and them HUGE black Borders !!!
If I jump it will be Iphone 6 because this phone honestly feels very good already, its going to be tough to beat this phone. I want to give Apple the Benefit of a doubt that their **** doesnt suck and they actually done something useful.
I am upgrading phone and am torn between the two. If it was you, which would you get?

Well its settled, ive chosen the G2. Should arrive tomorrow. Im super excited as ive been strictly Samsung gs2, gs3, gs4 since I abandoned (cr)apple a few yrs ago. Anyone rooted running custom rom lmk any good ones, thanks...
