I'm not sure do you mean PC emulator for your phone or remote PC? If you want emulate PC with your android, at least there is two options (I haven't tested those):
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motioncoding.emulator
Limbo PC emulator (removed from play store)
I hope you got answered.

Can you play it via terminal server on the Universal? How does it work? I looked at it on the laptop and it looks like a bit of fun. How can you do it on the XDA?
well how are you connected to the internet,
you on a network?
thats what i am on but i think i understand other types
I run a wireless network to a cable modem. A couple of laptops and my XDA run through the WIFI onto the internet. I was really just wondering of the XDA can run the java environment. Maybe I have misunderstood what you are doing.
The terminal service uses your computer as an operating system (so java is compatiable)
but its more of a link
i want to see java on the universal itself
my xda has something called MidLET manager in the plain old programs folder. it apparently runs java apps but i've never tried it.
that wont work, its because its a sun java pc app
maybe i should try the linux thing

App for Remote Access from PC ?

Please help !
I remember that somebody described a software here which can be used to access the mobile device via pc. You get a window on your pc with your device's view and you can control your phone via pc the same way as you could do it directly on the mobile device.
But I simply can't find this software Does anybody remember the name or have a link for me !
TIA!!

Pocket Controller pro for me.
MyMobiler (freeware)
Just played with MyMobiler and Pocket Controller pro. Both very cool apps. Is there a app that will allow you to do this without being connected to the computer, kind of like log me in, dont/cant install to cpu, so something that is web based (java)

VNC ?
yes, but i'm talkin about a server on the ppc that i can access on the mac. Tried all of them, only the PocketVNC works... But I can only find the trial that closes after a minute. On the site, can't find a link to buy it! Can't seem to find a working version (no time limit) too.
Have a look at R-HUB remote support servers for remotely accessing your Mobile device from PC and vice versa. It is easy to use and works on all platforms viz Windows, MAC, Android, iOS etc.

Controlling PC Remote Desktop

Hello
I am able to connect to my PC via the htc remote desktop application.
How do I stop it logging out the current user? This happens even when logging on with the same account.
I am trying to use my phone as a PC mouse to open file videos etc, so need to see the desktop at the same time on my phone.
Does anyone have a better way of doing this. I have tried logmein but this website does not allow me to select anything using the touch screen, although I can view the desktop fine.
Thanks
It's not possible to see on both with remote desktop.
You should look into VNC. Or if you don't need to have the screen on the phone but just mouse/keyboard controls there's G-Remote.
You could also try logmein.com - it is great!
ADC
I use Mocha VNC.
You can try the following website, this shows how to allow concurrent remote desktop sessions, it is geared towards windows 7 but its a start...

Also, that method doesn't let you see the same desktop on the phone as on the pc, , , both are logged on, yes, and (example) files saved to the desktop will both be seen, however one wouldn't see the same windows media player as the other, and indeed you would have trouble with both logins running (some of) the same program together.
I know this because i have both vista and win7 installs that have had concurrent logins enabled, which I didfor exactly the same reason as OP, heh, it didn't work. Hah.
Something like the "Logitech Touch Mouse" app for the iTouch/Phone would be cool on a Windows Mobile platform.
More info about it http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/control-your-pc-with-the-logitech-touch-mouse-iphone-app-2010021/
When I'm in bed, I'd like to be able to control my PC with my phone as if it were a TV remote controller or in other words a wireless mouse+keyboard.

It's exactly it, plus a lot more like g-sensor support, direct media player control, etc. Search for it on here.
Hi all, first-time poster here, although long-time admirer of the excellent work that goes on here.
This thread has compelled me to post as a winmo version of this "Logitech Touch Mouse" app would be a really handy to control my media pc at home, as well as the Skype conferencing machine at work in place of the bulky and ugly wireless keyboard we currently use.

Does a usb gamepad work in win8 tablet?

I have a Lenovo lynx win 8 tablet. I connect a usb gamepad. I see that it is recognized as usb generic gamepad (although in device manager I don't see a gamepad). The same gamepad work ok in nexus 7 tablet. Does anyone have a clue what is wrong? Perhaps I need some kind of drivers? In control panel I don't see "gamepad" or something like this, as I see in pc. Thanks,
It is this: http://www.e-shop.gr/product?id=PER.701667
Did your gamepad came with a driver CD? The gamepad should work with the tablet...after connecting the gamepad, open device manager & see if it shows any unrecognized devices

It didn't have a driver cd.. I go settings-change pc settings-devices , and when I connect it, it is recognized as" Generic usb joystick " without to have an option to change any settings or something..
If I go to control panel from desktop interface, I don't see any gamepad or joystick icon to click.. Is it the same for every tablet with win8 this or only mine?
Of course they work, your running full windows 8, its no different from your desktop or laptop if you have one. Even RT on the arm tablets has a degree of support for them (mainly the Xbox controller as 3rd party manufacturers aren't allowed to release drivers and windows itself has few drivers)
What make and model is the controller? It is most likely a driver issue or possibly user error (sure its not listed in with mice and keyboards on device manager).

I found out that every time I connecting it, in device manager, under human interface devices, it recognize it as usb input device... Probably I should change some drivers there? But haven't got anyone to try.. Perhaps any generic driver there for gamepad?

That means it has been recognised then. That should be the only entry.
Otherwise if its still not working in any games then you need to give us the make and model like I already asked. EDIT: Just noticed link in your post, hit google and can't find a single site not in Greek or any reference to that controller actually existing anywhere but Greek shops, certainly no info on drivers etc. If it doesn't work plug and play I think your best off getting a known brand controller (my personal preference is the wired Xbox 360 controller, play and charge kit for wireless controllers doesn't work btw, it has to be the wired one, Logitech also make a few popular models)
It is a cheap Chinese gamepad. It probably sell with different brand in many countries. The funny thing is that it is working perfectly in android without any driver (which I didn't expected, didn't bought for this), and is not working in the win tablet (for which was bought and expected to work)
Android does come with alot more drivers out of the box than windows does surprisingly, but at the same time its much harder install more.
Are you sure the gamepad doesn't work in any games because if its listed in device manager under HID's like it is then it should work. My 360 controller is only listed in HID's and in Xbox accessories (and of course your isn't an Xbox accessory).
Id go into a game and actually see does it recognise it.

I tried some. Also tried mame emulator. Can't set any key.. Is there any utility I can test to be sure? I remember in previous windows version, in control panel it had gamepad or something like this to test, change buttons etc. I don't see anything like this here.

You go into control panel>All items (sorry I dont know where it is on the new view, I always use the old style)>Devices And Printers. Should have a gamepad near the top, you right click it and it has "Game controller settings".
Something you can try for drivers is go back to device manager, find the gamepad, right click it and update driver software, see if windows just happens to find one online which matches.

Many thanks. Didn't expected to find gamepad settings under printers icon.. I found out that gamepad works. I see in gamepad settings buttons etc. It just don't work with tha games I had try.. Perhaps I must find something to remap buttons or something to make it work with some emulators and games.. I had something like this in the past.. Now I know that it does work I search more. Thanks all again.
