I got my nexus yesterday, no problems. However today I put some 180 songs on my device using syncr. Problems didn't occur until I played something. After playing something, lag spikes of 2fps showed and slowly disappeared within minutes.
I did a little messing around to find out what it was and I found it! I had a 'my library' widget on the home screen which displayed my recent songs, whenever I played a song, this widget would update and display the song I had just played. This is when the lag started. Playing different songs would create the problem but playing the same song would not reproduce it. Meaning playing the song again after the lag disappeared would not recreate lag.
I have a feeling this might be something to do with me being a UK user, as this nexus 7 was made for the play store and UK do not have access to Google music. So foreign songs may not be well accepted and thoroughly tested. Just a guess though.
One other thing to point out is that even though the songs DO come with thumbnail pictures, the widget will refuse to show them in the preview.
That's it, thanks for reading if you did and I hope this will be seen and fixed, my worst nightmare would be finding out this is only my device. Can somebody reproduce the problem on their device for me please. Remember I'm not using songs from Google play!

Wow you are absolutely correct! As soon as I got rid of that widget the lag instantaneously disappeared. Thanks! (I'm a UK user too)
This is weird. Every time I try to download this app, Play Store crash while loading the app page. Clear cache, wipe Play Store data still the same. Can someone try if it's only me.
Second, looking for an app that can automatically upload/sync pictures taken from the phone to our N7 via bluetooth much like tablet talk. Any suggestion?

Same problem here. Lite version allways crash when I try to open it on Play store. Full version in Google Play is loaded ok. But in only happens on Nexus 7. I have also some noname 7" tabled running ICS 4.0.4, and here is opening just fine without crash. So it has to be N7 JB related, but is strange as full version loads normally in Google Play Store.
I recently installed the new Play Store update and since I cannot actually access the Play Store. It will start up but then just spins and doesn't load anything at all. Can I roll back the Play Store? Doesn't work like on my phone.
Hey, I know this is a bit late, but I was having the same issue and I managed to fix it. I had to go through the settings and clear the app data and cache. Then after I did that I left the Play store app open on the player. I went to the web version of the Play store and tried to install a compatible app from there. After about 45 sec, I got a prompt on the Nexus player to accept the play store agreement, and it worked properly again.
I hope this helps anyone with the same Play store issue.
Yesterday I was playing a game while playing youtube with Play youtube background (xposed module) and suddenly the phone restarted by itself. After that all apps in SD disappear. When I installed again all the apps and tried to move it to the sd it says "Not enough storage available".
How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.
I have all the obb/data files, both apps open up but when i start a new game in vice city it loads 95% and then quits out of the app, same goes with asphalt 8 when i try to start a race.

You should re-install the game. I am able to play Asphalt 8.

I reinstalled it like 3 times, same issue.
The same goes with san andreas as well. But gangstar vegas works.
I've also tried to disable developer options and changing between internal and external storage.
