Hello,
My friend just brought LG G2 international version 802, and gave it to me, to root it and install cm 11 on it. Ok all went ok, I've rooted the phone, and installed twrp recovery on it.
Then I've done backup of the current rom, and then I've wiped all. I mean system, chace, data.. all besides the SD card. And them STUPIDLY PRESSED REBOOT.
Now I'm stuck on LG logo, is there any way to repair that? :/
I'm not familliar with LG devices I've owned Nexuses and Samsung phones..
Please any help will be much appreciated.
Btw I can get in to the download mode, but I don't know how to get in to the recovery mode.. Maybe I could get in to the recovery and then just restore ??
Hold the power key and volume down.
Release before the LG logo pops up and then press volume down and power at the same time again.
You will hop into a factory data reset screen press power to agree to factory data reset and it will boot you into recovery.
It does NOT actually reset but flashes the TWRP to get into recovery.
Good Luck,

If download mode works, why don't you just flash one of the official .kdz's?
As for recovery mode: Turn off your phone, volume down & power, when the LG logo appears release and press them again. If you made a backup, I believe you can just restore it.
Thanks I'm on it! Hope that helps. Btw if I can get in download mode it means I'm not hard bricked right?

Try to get it into TWRP over and over and wipe data if you do and reboot.
If not, try this as a last resort

What's the method for getting into TWRP at this point? I definitely have it, but what is the procedure to get to it? Thanks!
You're not alone friend.

Just happened to me yesterday, press and the Power and Volume down until the phone resets, holding both until the LG logo pops up. When it pops up immediately release ONLY power then press and hold it again and you should receive a prompt for factory reset. Confirm it then if you had TWRP previously installed you should be able to back to it after resetting. From there you can just push a ROM and/or gapps via ADB like I did yesterday . Feel free to message me if you have any issues, I'm back working fulling functional and would be glad to help you if needed. You can also message me on Hangouts as well @ [email protected] . Best of luck!

This has been a lifesaver for me, as well as for many others: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
It restores your phone completely to factory settings, allowing you to flash your recovery again, and start all over. Good luck!
So I'm rooted with TWRP loki and had CM 11 on and running for a while. I just downloaded the latest nightly through CM OS and it asked to be rebooted.
Upon rebooting to TWRP and installing the update it then just kept on trying to reboot with the CM logo. I cannot get the power and volume keys to boot it to recovery and my computer won't recognize it in this state to boot into recovery.
Any ideas??!! Please! I don't know of any way to restore it.

I had to take the back off and manually unplug the battery to turn it off. Then I tried the button combinations posted *power and V down* when LG logo comes on repeat to get to wipe screen. However, the phone did not go to the wipe screen, it just rebooted again.
If I could get it to boot to recovery I'd be golden.

Error due to low batter. I'll have to see if I can charge it without it wanting to turn on. However, it looks promising -- after three times trying I got the utility to recognize the device at least!
Either way, I appreciate the assistance.

great to see everythings up and running
Hi Folks,
I had TWRP installed and updated cm11 with a new nightly. I did a wipe cache and restarted. Phone got stuck on the LG screen. I could not get into recovery after this. I then used the LG support tool and flashed using 'Upgrade Recovery' option.
Phone now is stuck on same LG boot screen but now LED flashes also.
Can anyone help? I am really stuck here guys. :crying:
Cheers,
Trev

Did you select 3GQCT instead of CDMA which is selected by default ?
See if you can get into recovery once again.
Some tips: Hold power and down to make device restart, then let go... As soon you see the lg logo hold down and power. Timing is the key. There are sometimes I think I don't have recovery but in reality i do. Its all user error. If that don't work, try get in download mode. And flash zvc tot and get back to the stock.

Do a hard reset. it helped me yesterday. It's just that the hard reset key sequence for KK roms is different than how it was with JB. try to google it because I lost the topic.

Hey,
I'm in the same case but the R&D soft say there is an error. Plus I can't acces the hard reset menu nor recovery...
I can't also see my device on recovery as I only see in the device manager : LGE Android Net USB Serial Port.
And this is like that when I try to boot or when I'm in download mode.. Any help would be great...
PS : I try to make a restore with the LG Mobile Support Tool (the true one) but will only get answer in 6hours (best connection ever!!)...
Edit1 : That worked! I get out of the download mode and let the software do is job and there is new! Now I have to put a pin /password but I don't know which one ^^' ... I've tried to go back in download mode or hard reset mode but it don't work..
Edit2 : I don't get how but I manage to get in download mode. After that I perform a restore to another kdz and now I'm using the factory reset which seems to take a lot of time..
Thanks for the replies folks. Got it sorted out. This seemed to be the only way to get it sorted :

Someone help i cant get into recovery please help
@pbedard Its all about timing. What I do is I take off the back cover. Then I hold the volume down button and then hold the power button. The very first LG logo that pops up only pops up for a second so that part is a pain... But as soon as you see that first LG logo, let go of the power button and press is back down as fast as you can. If it tries to boot, immediately pull the battery and try again...

Yea.. Before the Corrupted screen is a small instance of a LG logo. You have to enter TWRP through there. When it asks to factory reset, just hit yes twice.. TWRP overwrites that recovery. Its a pain in the arse to get into it.

Are you able to get into fastboot? You could reflash recovery there.

How can I the computer dont recognize it
Hold the volume down key and have a usb cable connected to your pc and then while still holding the volume down key plug the phone in.
I had to flash twrp once in fastboot. just start fastboot in the adb folder with the twrp.img and just type fastboot flash recovery twrp.img and wait. rename twrp accordingly.

ok... All of them are essentially the same. Did you get through the entire process??? The twrp for US996 works on almost all LG V20s... Just try to get it to flash and then redo the process to get into TWRP again.

Well that part im not sure about. You could always do the rest of the DS guide.. Its a sprint phone right? Make sure you did the entire process. The phone seems to need a stock rom flashed to function. The phone wont boot without data being wiped and the phone being unencrypted.. Make sure you followed the process to the T
The static never went away
The static won't go away....turn off screen until u see clock in top screen then cover your sensor right by camera and then turn screen back on

Did you flash a Rom? Try rebooting into recovery and formatting the system/cache/dalvik/data and reflashing a Rom. I've run into a bootloop if I didn't format those partitions or I didnt flash a Rom while I'm in recovery after clearing system.
Yes but my device is fine now they helped me get it working thanks for your help
