I had the same issue. I believe it was a bad MD5. Although I know you can adb command from a PC, I had just recently deleted all of my drivers to get into a couple of nexus 7's.keep trying the volume down and power key the correlation seems to be if you can hit it right as it boots. I made it back to the factory data reset screen hit power through and dropped into TWRP.
I'm not sure how much you know or if you've ever had to boot through the factory reset screen but it does NOT actually reset your device rather is the push to your recovery.
Good luck,

I have done that sevral times now before it did go into that recovery twrp but not when I do it it goes into fastboot everytime , its like it has wiped twrp off the phone and no recovery , even used fastboot on pc to boot into it and it wont just goes back to fast bootscreen

you should be able to still get recovery -switch off phone, press vol down and power button at the same time as soon as you see the lg logo press the same combination again and hopefully it will go to a white screen with factory reset press the button I think 3 times and it will take you thru to twrp it may take a few tries but if u get the combo right it will work -if not you may have to go to the thread in xda g2 forum and im afraid learn how to restore your phone to factory state again which is a pain in the a**e but make sure you have all the necessary drivers installed as that will not work properly either-hopefully you can get back into recovery and restore your back up-good luck!

Stuck on google logo

Hey guys
i just wiped all my data and tried to reboot my nexus, but now it's been stuck on the google logo for ages...
trying to flash to stock + unroot with nexus toolkit doesn't work, any way to unbrick it?
please help...
do you have fastboot driver installed?
Step 1: Power down your Nexus 4 (hold the power button until it shuts off) before rebooting into fastboot mode. You can do this by holding down the the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously.
Step 2: Connect your device to your computer. Open up a terminal or command prompt, and navigate to the folder containing the fastboot program.
Step 3: Type fastboot devices into the command line, and you should then see your device’s ID, which means fastboot is setup correctly.
now go back to Nexus 4 toolkit. Flash back to stock.

not booting after flashing something or modding something is the easiest of all to fix, just reflash the rom(gapps and kernel too if need be), no need to wipe anything. since i test all the trinity kernels before any get released, and pre-kernels, i get many that dont boot my device or bootloop(among some other funky behaviors), reflashing a good kernel always works
I left my phone for a few minutes, and when I picked it up it was bootlooped again, and i had to use fastboot again. What should I do now? Maybe a factory reset would help me. I don't want more unexpected bootloops. :/
swyped from my nexus 4

Try another rom. You might have downloaded corrupted zips. Also, make sure you flash the things you need first. Eg, flash rom and gapps. Don't restore anything if you're using titanium backup. Try restarting the phone, see if it gets into a bootloop. If it doesn't, then try restoring apps from TB. (if you use TB.)
Hi!
I´ve got a big problem. Today i flashed the new PA version, but it seems that the download had some issue. I could install it but after a while, I wanted to reboot the phone and it got stuck at the Google logo. I can only access fastboot mode and recovery.
So the problem is, i made a full wipe, so i have no rom on the sdcard anymore. Also I am now able to enable the debbuging mode. I tried every toolkit i couzld find, but everyone needs debugging mode enabled. windows doesnt recognize the phone ( it says unkown device). So i tried to install the adb drivers, but nothing happens.
i wanted to try to push a rom with adb on the phone but it says no device found. i am such a noob, i hope some can help me.
thx

The only way I could get it to work was the following; however there is one thing to try before you try my way because mine did this also - after the wipe and flash with flashtool etc. The only way I found to get out the bootloop was to do a factory restore after when its looping. So from the boot screen loop hold the power button until it goes off then on then off again.
Then do the process to get into the recovery so hold down and power then release power as soon as the lg logo appears (first one) then press it again immediately that SHOULD get ya to the grey factory reset screen. Press the power button 3 x and it should do a factory restore and boot up this time. First boot may take a minute it should eventually start up.
Failing that try this - Open the lg mobile support tool and connect the phone in download mode (volume up and power with plugged in usb on mine) then go to options and upgrade recovery. it will download a file usually about 2GB then install it, the phone will reboot at 100% on the phone and 80ish% on the lg tool it will then start into the setup feature,
DO NOT disconnect the phone until it gets to 100% and finishes. This way you shouldn't need to do an extra factory reset.
I understand for this the phone needs to be seen on com 4 (it shows on the phone screen) so if necessary go into device manager with the phone still plugged in in download mode and select com ports then select the phone com port then right click >properties> advanced and change the com port to 4. It may tell u its already being used but don't worry it is fine. Save and exit device manager.
please bare in mind these are just my experiences on MY LG D802 however its worked every single time for me without fail and ive done it a good few lol.
HTH:good:

phone stuck at lg logo(no factory reset/recovery/etc.)

woke up and it was sitting in recovery, so i rebooted a few times to only end up in the recovery screen. i then wiped the cache and system and rebooted, and when TWRP asked if i wanted to root, i swiped right(never seen that screen before). but this time im stuck at the LG logo with no options for recovery/reset/etc.
when i plug it into my PC, device manager sees it as "LGE Android phone". HELP PLEASE! thanks.
bump?
Were you rooted running stock or a custom rom at the time this happened? Try to long press power for 15 seconds to shut the phone down, then use the hard keys to enter recovery. Is TWRP still availabe or no?

Well you were clearly rooted if you were running a custom rom. Since you were in TWRP following the mishap, it should still be there. You sure you're going about that correctly? You need to press and hold power for 15 seconds to power off. Then use whatever button combo is necessary for your variant, there are some differences. Then accept the factory reset option to enter TWRP.
My guess, and it's only a guess...is that your phone, being close enough to stock, applied an OTA without your knowing or even choosing to accept it which landed you in a recovery reboot loop. That's a known side effect on a G2 with stock + custom recovery. But since you were on a custom rom and you said you wiped system, it's no mystery that you don't have a booting phone. You need to get back into TWRP, adb push a rom to /sdcard and flash it. Unless of course you have a working nand backup in which case you can restore that and save yourself some time and effort.

If using hard keys it can vary slighly by variant. adb reboot recovery should do it though.
huh, took apart the phone to try the linux fix(didnt end up working), put it back together, and now the download mode works. not sure if i was just being stupid in the past or what, but HURRAY! thanks so much

Backup has bricked my phone, anything I can do about it?

Greetings.
A few hours ago I wanted to install a ROM (Don't even remember which rom it was, so that's great) onto my phone.
I do what everyone should do and open up google and search for a tutorial.
Step 1 was something like "The most important thing you need to do is make sure you have a backup in case your phone soft bricks", so of course that I made a backup.
I download twrp manager, give it permissions and go to backup.
I leave the defaults checked thinking that it's probably good as it is and press backup. After a minute or so I notice that it won't boot up.
So I press the power button. It starts, nothing is wrong, after the loading screen however everything stops.
Everything from the UI app to the bluetooth app, to facebook twitter and youtube. Literally, "unfortunately *EVERYTHING* has stopped"
Even holding down the power button and pressing "emergency" mode brings up a message saying "emergencymodesomething has stopped"
I try getting to the boot menu, holding down power, home and volume up, I see the samsung screen and remove my finger from the volume up button, after a few seconds screen goes black, not responding.
From what I've seen in the "everything has stopped" type of power up, connecting it to my phone through USB does not seem to give any results.
Anything I can do that does not include buying a new phone, or anything at all for that matter?
Oh forgot to say it is a samsung galaxy A5, not the one with the fingerprint and whatever but an older version.
Trying to do a factory reset with adb won't work because it says "device unauthorized"
Anyone?
Well thanks for the help everyone... /s
Turns out my phone didn't just boot from recovery, just that the screen was black for some reason.
Followed a video done the exact thing and managed to factory reset it

I was in a similar position to where it would just always boot into recovery forever. I tried doing several restores from stock and other backups. Different ROMs and even went through dirtysanta again. Nothing worked.
What wound up working was me getting into the device's factory restore screen (not TWRP's). I believe you get there by turning on the device while holding the Vol down + power button, when the LG screen comes up - let go of the power button for like 1-2 seconds and then press/hold it again. It should be a white screen that's asking if you want to do the factory screen or not. Just do that. It did its thing - then went to the LG screen again. I was a bit impatient and only waited like 2 mins. It didn't go anywhere (you could probably wait longer or so) but I just simply took out the battery and then put it back in.
It did wind up booting to the system again after awhile.
Just letting you know what I did after I messed up with a certain thing in a hidden menu.

Not solved.
