Hello,
I just tried doing the OTA update for my Verizon G2 (rooted, stock). I downloaded fine, phone rebooted, got to the initial update screen, and in the middle it read:
Err : 0x1111004
Then the phone restarts, saying update failed, no changes made.
Any suggestions? I have "OTA RootKeeper -no 4.3 support" (here) installed, but that's it... no TWRP, no ROMs, just stock rooted.
I'm getting the same thing. Just tried to do the update this morning on my stock, rooted VS980. Also using OTA root survival.
Sent from my GT-N8013 using xda app-developers app
Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution? I've tried the download/install 3 times now...
In the same boat too, rooted, temp unroot w/ voodoo and get the error. I also changed the hotspot provision
edit: mine worked after I put back the original hotspot provision
zonda95, thanks for the reply. How exactly should I do this? I have:
/system/app/HotspotProvision.apk
/system/app/HotspotProvision.apk.old
/system/app/HotspotProvision.odex.old
/system/app/MobileHotspot.apk
/system/app/MobileHotspot.odex
in my system. Should I be looking for something else?

change the HotspotProvision.apk to something else like HotspotProvision.apk.new then take away the .old on the other two, reboot and temp unroot and you should be good to go
Thanks so much! I changed the HotspotProvision files, and it worked perfectly!! Didn't even need to unroot temporarily. And the whole thing took only about 2 percentage points off my battery
Thanks again!

Good morning guys
I'll tell my problem
I have a G2 LG D802, running kitkat with root and several xposed modeulos.
Yesterday, i've installed the apk camera Xdabbeb, prior back up, then install and reboot the phone.
When I restarted it, does not pass the lg logo, it's trapped on a bootloop.
Try all the methods available, but I have no luck
With offline method, it starts, but when it reaches 15%, the program says i have to connect the phone, but the phine is already plugged in!!!!
All I can do is go into download mode, and when I try to open the LGUPDATE, I get a sign that says "please check your internet line, etc."
Do not know what else to do, im loosing my mind
I appreciate any help you can give me
Try to change the usb cable or try inserting it to different usb port.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i've tried that already, but still the same

Have you tried resetting to factory default settings? As for the LG Update tool, try reinstalling the drivers.
First off, hi everyone. This is my first post here after browsing for a few weeks. Yesterday I went ahead and rooted my AT&T s4 with the whole reason for doing so wanting to use wireless hotspot for free, and it isn't working.
Tl;dr I tried the TetheringProvision.apk mod technique and it just crashes my settings menu.
Full story:
After softbricking my phone and having to bring it into att 2 days ago I finally figured out a method of rooting it. I got this phone very recently and it came with the 4.4.2 (NB1) update pre-installed. I used the downgrade/root/safestrap method (using the OTA zip method because the stock with root zip wouldn't get past the att splash screen) and am back on 4.4.2/NB1. Everything is working, root included (verified by successfully changing system file names), but when I try to put in the TetheringProvision.apk file that used to work for the hotspot on my old MK2 phone from some other thread on this forum it just crashes my settings menu. The error I get is a "settings has stopped" popup and it kicks me out right when I move the "mobile hotspot on" slider. I'm really hoping there's a simple solution here, but if worst comes to worst I guess I'll just have to try a different rom? Attached is a screen shot of my about device. I really hope someone will be able to help, thanks in advance.
Ok, so I'm now thinking about backing up this rom in safestrap, and re-flashing the backup I made of the MK2 downgrade that I used to install the root. The problem with that was the wifi not working, but I just found a post about bypasslkm. Only problem is that I don't fully understand how to use bypasslkm and even through search I can't find a good guide on it. Could anyone here walk me through the dumbed down version of how to use it? From what I understand I flash the bypasslkm.zip just like I would any other rom, but I don't really get what to do after that. I'm kind of surprised that I'm the first one to have either of these issues, I couldn't find any good information via search.

There is a tethering AddOn in the same NB1_100%_Stock_Rooted_ROM & NB1 KeepRoot OTA zip thread that you can flash in safestrap.
hey,
So I have the lg g2 d802 model bought it in the netherlands
and ever since the upgrade to kitkat I've been looking for a way to fix the audio hiss...
Now suddenly everywhere there is talk of a new software version?
now I tried updating it ota, but it doesn't find any updates for me..
I also tried the lg support tool and updated it even though it said I had the latest version (d80220b)
does anyone know how I can install this
my device isn't rooted but has a little bug on it since I tried to root it...
it makes it so I get some secure boot error when resetting my device...
can anyone help me fix this annoying hissing bug or get the d80220d update??

anything else I have to make sure?
won't the secure boot error cause any troubles?
I really want to play it safe as for each time I tried something like this (flashing bios on pc,attempting root etc)
something bad happened and I luckily managed to fix it in both cases

Do a full factory reset on the phone first. Then flash using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
If you don't have a copy of the EUR kdz:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_ESvfVtZzEwc0JfazU1UzlKd28/edit?usp=sharing
I'm downloading these files now..
will this update also come available ota in belgium?
because right now I'm really hesitant if I want to do something 'dangerous' like flashing stuff again.
edit: also is it normal that when I attempted root rootchecker told me I was rooted, but now
a month later I check again and it tells me I am not rooted

Just factory reset (on the phone) and then flash...
Got an S4 i9505 and I believe it was running 4.2.2. I rooted it with CF Auto Root and everything was fine,
A few days ago, little one messed around and accidently managed to install 4.3 update. Now wifi cannot be enabled giving an error that "your device security has blocked an action that is not permitted"
Clicked on SuperSU and it said that knox has been found and some applications may not work,,,,,decided to disable it and disabling it was successful.
Even now when I try to turn the wifi on, it doesnt work but dont get the above message anymore.
Any help would be appreciated as it's driving me mad.
Thanks
Anyone? Please make some suggestion.

Hi ,
My first option would be to try the so call wifi fix, read here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192025
select the same wifi fix as the modem you have installed in your phone ( read first , ask there if there is any doubts)
Second option would be to flash stock rom again and root .
I rooted my G935A, I didn't make a backup, and I did something dumb and need to unroot, how do I do that? I can't seem to get a firmware that works using Odin. Can I send in to Samsung for free? can I go to an ATT store? what can I do?

Try looking at this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/odin-3-12-3-worlds-att-s7-odin-firmware-t3401470
Same issue I can't find stock firmware. Root was working fine for about a week but then today Google play crashed a lot on me, as well as pokemongo. Restarted my phone expecting that'd fix the crashes but it was stuck in a boot loop, I had to wipe my phone. After that annoying experience decided I wanted to revert my phone to normal but can't -- sm-g935a at&t
Can't find anything on the web that works.
Fixed: I used the modified ODIN from Max Lee's site that I originally used to root the phone, then used the 935U firmware and it worked, 935A unrooted and running the unlocked firmware, it is better than a stock 935A, dosen't even have an ATT boot logo! Supposedly you can root from it, but for now, the stock U fw is awesome, battery life is better, no bloat is a plus, it even puts BACK the smart manager app in settings, and adds HotSpot and Cell Data toggles to the menu.
Thanks, that was enough information for me to fix my problem. 935U does seem to run better than A
