good, I had all the current high-end and none, I repeat none overshadows in terms of video recording at the Sony Z2 ... In 1080p 60 fps is amazing quality ... At 4k I have not tested because neither my tv or pc that can play ... But i can say, the Z2 is the most sharpness and has better video stabilizer away. a hug[emoji1]
indeed the video recording quality of the Z2's amazing! too bad the audio quality of recordings aren't as good
Quick question, on my Z3 if I set my phone in a fixed position and took a 1080 then 4k video, the 4k would capture more view/wider image.
On my z5, the 4k video captures a smaller video image than 1080. Why the difference?
Hi everyone,
I have switched to XA1 and disappointed it can't record 4K movies. Recently played with Open Camera (Mark Harman) available in Play and this app successfully records 4K clips in full ISO range up to 3200. You need to activate Camera2 API in settings and then movies resolution to 4K.
Max framerate is 24, but looks like image stabilization works in 4K!
cheers
Hey, what is the shutter speed range in open camera?
Camera API2
Haow to activate camera api2 in xperia xa1
Would like to know that too. Open Camera doesn't seem to have option like that, so I understand Root and modding build.prop ("persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1"?
Xperia XA1 seems to support footage in 4k.
I have used this app, and have been filming in 4k, apparently.
Test to see yourself if it really is what we need to shoot in 4k.

Is there anyway to know if I am playing 4k hdr video in default app.In youtube it supports only 1080p hdr with horrible framedrops.I have tried some 4k hdr mp4 samples but it seems that its only playing it in 4k because in youtube when I select hdr, the app takes over the brightness.Has anybody played downloaded 4k hdr video yet.Let's have a discussion below

same here, 4k hdr doesnt appear in youtube only 1080p hdr, frame drops could be due to "debug gpu overdraw" option enabled turn it off in developer options i think it should do it...
how did you manage to download 4k hdr video? I tried every youtube downloader I cant seem to download with that option...
Try 4kmedia.org and you can download full 4k hdr videos sample. My Developer mode is off. There is obvious frame drops and battery drain while playing HDR.Sony is bullshitting with us.If you find a way to play 4k hdr video let me know
