MK809 Ethernet - Android Stick & Console RockChip based Computers

Hi everybody,
I could not find Q&A forums sections and I am posting it here.
Last year I bought MK809 mini PC TV stick and use it for watching IPTV. It's with Android 4.1. Unfortunately I can't watch HD channels as wifi connection is not enough. I wanted to use Ethernet with the help of USB to Ethernet adapter but my v. 4.1 does not support Ethernet.
I have some questions.
1. Has anybody upgraded the stick to Android 4.2? Is Ethernet supported in this version?
2. Is it possible to get Android 4.4 for MK 809?
3. How can I degrade to Android 4.1 after upgrading to 4.2 (if I don't like something in 4.2)?

I am looking into this but I am not a coder.... I do service on moving heads (lamps) and they have a web server built in for diagnostics. I would love to just use my tablet to connect directly to them.
My adapter is an Asix AX88772B. It worked before on my china tablet on 3.2. but after I did an ICS upgrade on it, it stopped working. But that tablet sucked in all possible ways !

This is done on the EEPad. Can this be done on the Galaxy series?

[Q] Ethernet on Nexus 10

I need to get ethernet working on my Nexus 10 for a project I am doing, for various reasons there is no WiFi available in the building.
It looks like the Ethernet option was removed at some point - I currently have 4.4 running but have tried 4.3 and 4.22 - neither has the Ethernet options appearing - is it possible to get 4.1 running on the Nexus 10? Or is there a better way of getting Ethernet to work (obviously I have a Micro USB to Ethernet adaptor connected to the device but without any options appearing in the device settings this is not going to work)
Thanks in advance for any help or advice

I have been using an Ethernet adapter on my Nexus 10 with Android 4.1 through 4.4.2, here is a link to a review I wrote on the adapter I am using. The post includes some general Ethernet/Android information with the full thread containing other useful comments.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2238840
A couple of things of note:
- Android ' s generic Ethernet drivers only work with specific chip sets
- With some ROMs you need to toggle WiFi off before the Ethernet adapter gets used
Good luck

What ROM or OS supports MHL to HDMI

I recently added service to my S4 At&t mdl version. It's running Goldeneye 53 from several months ago. It's 5.0.1 lollipop. I've read that since 4.3 people have been having issues getting video out working. I have a new Alpine x009u in my vehicle but it won't show video. I have a new Samsung mhl and an older one which I don't know from where. My Alpine will show Chromecast on the screen but I don't want to use this device as a hotspot for Chromecast. I thought I could get it to mirror but it still wants a WiFi connection. Any help would be great. I tried connecting my s4 to a standard TV hdmi but no luck either.

Raspberry Pi Mirror Link Server | the other direction

Hello everyone,
so... i just bought a new App Radio 4th gen from Pioneer, is think its the SPH-DA120.
I use my iPhone to CarPlay, and it´s great.^^
But now i start thinking about a Raspberry Pi with an Android Rom or XBMC Rom to connect via HDMI and use the touchscreen of my new Pioneer Radio.
Via Hardware it´s impossible, i think. HDMI does´t support touch signals, right ?
That was the moment i realized, that i only have to emulate the Mirror Link protocol from Android devices:
Connect Video via HDMI, connect RaspPi via USB to my Pioneer AppRadio and boom => Touch XBMC version.
So there are 2 Problems:
1. How to connect the Pi to a USB port of my Radio ? Or is there a Bluetooth way ?
2. How can I run a Mirror Link Server, so my Radio recognize my RasPi as a Android Device with Mirror Link ?
I just checked the Mirror Link Source, its VNC.
Did anybody configured his VNC Server in a way, that the Radio recognize it as a Mirror Link device ?
Thank you for your tips and information, i would really love to make this happen!
PS: If my writing is´n correct at all, ignore the language not the post ^^

it´s about XBMC, Android is just useful for Mirror Link....
But i like the way u think, i´m also n iPhone Power user ^^
I was having the same dream, but unfortunately Rpi doesn't support USB device mode.
At least model B, B+ cannot as they Mount an USB hub.
Theoretically model A can do, but at the moment I have no info on how to get.
I some other people has some issues regarding this, they're welcome!
Any update on this matter???

Ethernet Adapter with Yotaphone

Hello,
i have succesfully been able to update YD206 to newest firmware for Europe thanks to this forum here - thank you very much for that! It is really a beautiful device which offers a lot of hope for future releases of e-ink smartphone, tablets and compters.
wondering if there is a Firmware which has drivers for ASIX AX88772 Micro USB 2.0 to Ethernet Adapter included. Alhough i am able to use Bluetooth PAN for delivering Internet to the Phone, sometimes i would like to use Ethernet Adapter, especially at night.
Hope there is someone who can help with this.
Thank you very much,
Richard
