Hello guys I was trying out an app " themer beta " from play store ,and apparently my screen resolution isn't compatible .App has an option were it tells you your screen resolution and its incorrect , I don't know if its the app itself not reading it correctly or idk ???

It's correct because the softkeys take the remaining resolution

Yup. DPI is 480 stock.
Tip. Try 400 DPI using TexDroider app.

thought i'd give themer a try today. with changing the dpi to 400 i still have a resolution reported by themer as 1822x1080. so still cant search for themes. it seems in order to get back to 1920 that themer wants you to have i would have to put the dpi somewhere in the 200's. not doing that. heh. at 480 stock dpi the reported resolution was at 1802x1080.
What liti said is correct. Only by hiding the navbar you can get the full resolution. Changing the dpi makes the navbar smaller hence the reason you get a higher resolution.

Much easier just to edit the build.prop.

What's the easiest way to edit build?

Open it in root explorer/solid explorer and edit the LCD density line.

I use ROM toolbox lite. It requires root (duh), reboot afterward. Some Roms will allow per-app DPI changes.
Reboot after change. After changing/updating a ROM you will need to change the DPI again.
I recommend visiting Reddit.com/r/nexus4 for better info (good info gets voted up, bad info gets voted down)

It's in Settings. There's a change font size. Screen Size/density it's still in beta. They are still working on it.
So my phone is rooted; is it safe to change the lcd density from the default 480?

Thanks. I changed it to 320 which was enough to downsize the ui.

Just wondering but is there anything out That will make the ui smaller? The buttons are huge and with so much screen space its annoying that I can only see the last 2 texts when the keyboard is up. I am rooted.

Search for dpi changing. Makes the whole ui smaller

Change the dpi build.prop. There should be some apps on the play store that should be able to do it for you. Go for between 380 and 420 dpi
If you want to change just the buttons then you can use G2 xposed or gravity box as well ....
