what's the big difference between ICS and JB?
I had an N7 and the only difference I can find is Google Now (which did nothing for me on my tablet)
Also, what will we lose?
I know flash is not present but can still be loaded on, although not seen anyone say it works, but not looked that hard.
BBC iplayer?
anybody knows when is the update?
im waiting the update to my GT 3110
im from portugal, i dont know if the update out at same day for all...??!?!?

i am waiting for jb for my GT 3110 too, does anybody know when we will get the update?
I hope the "official" update for the Galaxy Tab 2 with have these issues fixed that the currently leaked versions have....

Butter. Really, most of the differences are not changes you can see. They cleaned up the code and are compiling it with a newer toolchain. It helped optimize things more and provides for a more fluid interface.
I have an unlocked version. According to the TmoNews article, the unlocked versions should see the update first as they they have to go through carrier testing.
Hopefully the Tab version will come out quickly, then we'll just have to wait for AT&T to muck around with uit for 6 months before the rest of the devices get it.
There's a video with all changes uploaded in youtube, I can't post it 'cause I'm a new member but is there, the google event release of jb almost 3 months ago.

Alhamdulillah, can't hardly wait..
The update is still not available yet for my country, so I have installed my own with germany version
JB is great..
Im on the Verizon model Galay Note 10.1 LTE version with the I925VRAMH2 build, and I was able to root using the Kingo app.

You have the 2012 version of the Note 10.1. It has nothing in common with the device this forum's dedicated to - the Note 10.1 2014 Edition. Here's your forum...

Hey Barry, I really thank you for replying so quickly. I was totally under the impression that I had bought the newest version. I took that tablet back, and went to BestBuy and bought the tablet I thought I had (minus the 4G Lte). Thanks bro:good:
Yesterday, Samsung U.S. confirmed that 14 devices will soon be making the switch to Android 4.4 KitKat. However, there was no mention of when international models would be receiving the KitKat update. Fret not users, as we now have confirmation as to which international models will be getting the Android 4.4 KitKat update. The list is Samsung Poland’s official KitKat update list that was obtained today by Polish blogger Robert Nawrowski. It is to be noted that not all models listed below would be making the switch to KitKat right away. They will move to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, and eventually receive Android 4.4 KitKat.
Here are the international models that will be making the switch to Android 4.4 KitKat:
Galaxy Note 3
Galaxy Note 2
Galaxy S4
Galaxy S4 Active
Galaxy S4 Zoom
Galaxy Mega 6.3
Galaxy Mega 5.8
Galaxy Grand
Galaxy Express
Galaxy Note 8.0
Galaxy Note 10.1
Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition
Galaxy Tab 3 7.0
Galaxy Tab 3 8.0
Galaxy Tab 3 10.1
The list is identical to the list of models detailed by Samsung U.S., although unlike the U.S. list, it isn’t clear as to when these mobiles will receive the OTA update. Most devices launched last year are included in the list, with a few notable exclusions like the Galaxy Core. It is interesting to see that the Galaxy S3 won’t be making the switch to Android 4.4 KitKat, but considering that it is now close to two years since its official launch, we won’t blame Samsung for giving the S3 a miss.

Hello,
Is there any chance for Galaxy Tab 4 tablets to get update to Android 5.0?
I'd think so since they are for sure in the 18 month window, but this is Sammy we are talking about which totally ignored the NA versions of the Note 10.1 and haven't given them KitKat. Not even a breath of the update for my n8013.
Based on the fact that my tablet shipped running 4.4.2, I would hope we get 5.0; but seeing as we're talking about Samsung we might just get another kit kat update like 4.4.4 and disappear.

All Samsung tablets stayed at 4.4.2 (tab 4, tab s, tab pro etc.) so i think we all can get 5.0
But still i dont have any idea why samsung left 4.4.2 on all tablets instead of 4.4.4....
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-T705/ - tab pro for example
from http://www.latinospost.com/articles...llipop-release-date-download-list-samsung.htm
they say this:
Meanwhile, users of Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 (7.0, 8.0, and 10.1) and Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition will get the update by March or April.

YEAH!
I think so, because firstly it is not that old and secondly because Samsung has already announced that all recent Galaxy Tabs will get the update. In terms of smartphones, even older smartphones will get it, like the S4 and Note II. I have a Tab 4 and a Note II. Tab 4 will get the update on March or April.
Confirmed
Google just confirmed tht we r getting 5.0 in 3 months to tab 4 series!
i cant wait! i have been having some buggy issues getting busybox to work so i odin'd back to ne2 and its went thru like 3 updates now
are rooted devises getting update automatly or we have to do this manualy? sry for stupid question but im not sure. i think it's should

Yes we will be getting the 5.0.2 Lollipop update soon. It is set as pending in Samsung's official update page. I am a new user so I cannot post links until 10 posts so search this without the quotation marks.
"Official Samsung® Android Updates & Firmwares"
Hope this answers your question.
It's taking sooo long...
We're still waiting huh... geez. Last Samsung device for me definitely. Maybe the NokiaN1 if it ever comes to Europe...
Since I can't post the link , I'm just sharing the news

Leaked note 3 lollipop released...hope dev will port it to note 2 soon
Still I feel that this is a error by Samsung by listing name of note 2 in update list .. They have already stopped production of note 2, They will not provide lollipop for a discontinued product.
it would be really great news, hope they won't announce it as a mistake

Another Samsung arm confirms note 2. What people keep forgetting is that the Note 2 was a huge success selling 30+ million units which is almost as much as the S3 did. Ps, S3 with 2 gigs of ram (US) got kitkat although it was around its 2 year mark.

So 5.0 will come in mid 2015 I guess?
Would be even better to have the full source 4.4.2. Lollipop could be cooked in XDA.
