Hey guys. Well, I just got an update message for my Note 3 and decided to quickly download the file. The problem here is I did abit of research and read the BOOTLOADER will also be updated. This would mean that I wouldn't be able to downgrade back to Jelly bean. So after downloading the file I didn't update my Note 3.
So my question is, how do I update to kitkat without updating the BOOTLOADER for samsung galaxy note 3 n9005. I heard something about downloading the file and updating it through Odin. Can someone please give me a step by step guide please.
Thanks guys.

Updating bootloader is a mandatory.
Greetings-
I have tried to root my Galaxy Note 3 using the autoroot file provided by the great Chainfire ( much respect ). But it does not work. I just want to be clear, this is a phone, which I have reimaged with the Sprint stock firmware again, since I erased one file too many and could not boot it any more. Has anyone done this? btw, I got my image from SAMOBILE. Has anyone rooted a phone, ideally Galaxy Note 3, which they flashed with stock firmware after they rooted it once at least?
Regards
I have the Verizon galaxy note 3 N900V it's rooted, now it wont let me update to 4.4.what will I need to do?
When you say update, are you talking OTA or NC2? If you want to obtain root you will NOT want OTA!!!
Hi Guys,
I have a Note 3 (India) which I rooted sometime back. I did not install any Custom ROM but I did remove
KNOX, Kids Mode and more things using Titanium Backup.
Now, I heard that the Marshmallow update for Note 3 will be available soon OTA ( as it is already out in Canada), so I was
wondering if I would be able to install it. I know I wont be able to install it in the present condition, so I need your help in knowing
how can I do it. Someone said that I need to install the Stock ROM, but I don't which version, serial etc to use.
HELP!

You heard wrong no MM for Note 3 .
A factory reset should restore your Note 3 .
Yup, definitely no MM for any Note 3, not just Canada.
So for the N910A (ATT) we finally got the Marshamallow 6.0.1 update in West Texas about three weeks ago...didn't know it was coming. I was more than content to stay on 5.1.1 and have had nothing but constant issues with my Note 4 struggling to handle Marshmallow and the countless bugs I've encountered.
Would anyone still have a link or access to the following N910A Odin files for me to revert?
AP_N910AUCU2DOI2_CL5613584_QB6196496_REV00_user_lo w_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
BL_N910AUCU2DOI2_CL5613584_QB6196496_REV00_user_lo w_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
CP_N910AUCU2DOI2_CL5613584_QB6196496_REV00_user_lo w_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
CSC_ATT_N910AATT2DOI2_CL5613584_QB6196496_REV00_us er_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5
Would reverting cause any major issues? Brick my phone possibly? Since it's an ATT build I don't need root access correct?
Thanks in advance
