The attached should be all you need. split_updata.pl will extract the system image which you can then mount directly. splitfile.c will extract the mbn files and boot.img. Use abootimg to extract the kernel and initrd and then cpio to get the root fs from the initrd. Obviously you will want to use a linux box for this.

Firstly you have to install update.zip extract it from the rar/zip you have download and copy that file in the root of your sd card.
Also check if you have download the file properly and there are no spaces in between the name of the file.
And lastly try using a 2+ recovery.

[AROMA] Pimp My ROM Universal Tweaks/Mods

Check this out. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1908269
You can flash this zip over any ROM, it will launch Aroma Installer and will allow you to install many tweaks and mods to speed up your ROM and add more functionality.
Try this on "THAT ROM" for a great increase in speed. Make sure to download the HDPI version for the Atrix.
*****FOR THOSE WHO DOWNLOAD BEFORE READING*****
**********BEFORE FLASHING THIS PLEASE*************
- Open the zip of the rom you are running (the .zip file that you flash in recovery)
- Inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android
- Extract the file called "update-binary" and rename it to "update-binary-installer"
- Open Pimp my Rom's zip (i.e : PIMP_MY_ROM-v1.4.1-Universal.zip)
- Inside this zip, navigate to : META-INF/com/google/android and delete "updater-binary-installer"
- Now copy the "update-binary-installer" file you extracted from your rom to Pimp My Rom's zip (still in META-INF/com/google/android)
- Close the zip and flash it, the installation process should now work normally so you can Pimp your Rom !"
Done that on REDPILL and it works great.. need to see "that ROM"
Good job it is

[Q] Cant install any costum rom

I've done root with srs root-root and install cwm-recovery via update.zip, after that I tried most costum rom from version 2.3 to 4.0, but all I'm trying to costum rom can not boot up normally in my device, what causes all costum rom can not boot in galaxy-y,
I also do a partition on sd-card via cwm, and also pay attention to exactly how to install the costum rom to flash the kernel, but still all the costume rom will not boot
either you are a using the wrong kernel eg stock based roms require a stock based kernel and cm roms require a cm kernel and for you to format your system to ext
also make sure you mount system before flashing a rom
if you use the cm common kernel you need to unmount system and remount system before flashing the zip

like I said for cm7 you need to format your system to ext either using percys kernel or the ext converter tool
you also need to unmount system in cwm and remount system twice before flashing the rom zip
you can follow my instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=50907846&postcount=25
meta-inf from percys build iv uploaded

use winrar or another unzip prog to open the rom zip
you will notice a folder there called meta.inf
delete it
copy the meta.inf from the attachment in the other post and place it in the rom zip
you can do it on your phone if you dont have a pc
just use zarchiver app to unzip the rom zip and replace the meta.inf folder then use the app again to rezip it

Hi,
Sorry for the delayed reply.
Can you be little more specific? Do you want to 1) extract the kernel (that is an "zImage") image or 2) simply the "boot.img"?
The second task is simple as you can simply copy the "boot.img" from the ROM zip. You can flash "boot.img" directly via twrp (no need to make flashable zip).
The first task, however, is bit complicated as it requires the use of some tools like mkbootimg or Android Image Kitchen to split the "boot.img". You can flash the obtained "zImage" by simply copying that into an existing anykernel based klte custom kernel.
Feel free to contact me for any further clarification/help.
Hi,
Thanks for your answer. I needed flashable zip kernel file extracted from SkiesRom.
I wanted patch this by DualBoot

Hi, if you have a Linux, you can easily extract the zImage from the "boot.img" using mkbootimg (see previous comment for links). If you want me to do that job, feel free to send the "boot.img" of that mentioned ROM (I'll make a flashable anykernel zip file for you so that you can flash over any ROM).
Regarding the DualBoot, I really do not know...
