And have you tried contacting the app author?
You probably did something wrong, like using an invalid font (no offence intended, but it looks like the font installed fine, it just doesn't look nice on your device).
Liam

Installed it...selected font I wanted to try thats it. After a test drive of the font selected I clicked button that sayst revert to default fonts and thats it. I should have done more reading on the app first. There are numerous numerous people who have the same issue. Whatever font you select in the app it changes to your default font. I did factory reset and it still there.

Yes I contacted author. But when I started reading up on the app, there were numerous people that contacted author and got no reply

So then use the APP and pick a font close to stock then. or one that is better than the one you picked first.

I use Kii Keyboard for systemwide emoji and ascii art.

Try emoji font updater I use that one on my s3 and I would doubt the font on the s4 is any different. But if it is the app backs it up so you may restore I'd you need to. And it's great in combination with Kii keyboard.

Changing font.

How would you go about changing the font? I saw an app in Google Play that required root, but people were reporting their phones being bricked.

Suggest me some cool, nice fonts

Getting little bored with the stock font and have gone through the whole list of iFont, liked none of them. Searched dafont.com, found some good ones there (just by the look of them, haven't installed them yet), but there are too many of them, lol.
I like fonts like Storopia, Sony Sketch (bigger versions of it, if available, it's too small for me otherwise) and some type writing styles.
Please shoot me with options. What you guys are using....?

Have you tried Condensed roboto?

What are you using to change fonts? The apps in the play store aren't working really, there's only a couple there that are.

Cyanogenmod keyboard

I pushed over the apk file from a Toro ROM, set permissions and rebooted. The keyboard works except when you use gestures. It crashes and the keyboard restarts. Anybody know how to fix this? I've tried clearing the app data and it did not help.

I have been using that for the time being, but it's missing the long press for symbols and punctuation that I like.
