I don't get the point, both gpad have the same hardware, why GPE Rom don't match stock gpad?

it's just said that it should work, but i can't understand what is the problem because i didn't find it. ( And of course i did followed the thread the last couple of days). I'm just curious to know.
sorry to bother you

something with lg locked bootloader. you can run a custom rom. madhi-rom is like having GPE edition.

it's not possible to flash LG v510 bootloader on v500?

Really? We need a thread discussing what is already the subject of, and being discussed in another thread?

Thread closed, this is already being discussed. We'll keep this in one place for now

Need a complete guide.

Hey guys i have come from the Galaxy ace forums and my friend wants to upgrade his SGS which i agreed to do
He's on stock right now and wants to experience CM and root
I searched a lot and did not get a full proof guide for complete upgrading from stock
can anyone please guide me
And after searching the development section i concluded to flash Slim beans...it looks promising and stable
Please help me how to upgrade to slim beans from stock
thank you
Dont be lazy & read the forums. There where many before u. Even I did it once (to be exact just two weeks ago) just by searching & reading on xda & google. The thing is if u come across problems before/during/after process most times it happened to someone already & solutions are already there. So no excuses, search harder. I found alot that helped me flashing from stock for the first time (I didnt even know what rooting, kernel, odin etc. was couple of weeks ago). Its a little effort on your side. It seems you know more than when I was starting coming from the ace forums so imo The last option should be starting a new thread, especially for this specific question. Nevertheless here is a start
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=788108
I'm quite accustomed with all the words and everything
I myself flash at least 2 roms per week on my SGA
But for SGS I don't know how to go about
And I searched but there is no full proof guide which includes everything hence the starting of this thread
Baseband version of his phone is

Its only a few threads down , has everything My Guides and Manuals

[Q] Just a few questions!

Hi fellow G2 users!
Got my G2 a few days ago (I know I'm about a year late) but this phone seems awesome. Model is D802.
I did a lot of reading before doing anything and so far - I am on stock LG rom, rooted, installed TWRP with autorec, flashed a volume mod and installed xposed with g2 tweaksbox. So far I have nothing to complain about.
Anyway, now come the questions - my previous phone was a sensation, and to have that fully ready to flash, it required unlocking the bootloader, S-OFF, radio flashing and root.
1. Is there anything else I need to do here? This is my main question. I did a lot of reading before posting this or doing anything to my phone. I only do something once Im completely sure I know how.
2. I've read about flashing modems of some sort and came across this link - xda wont let me post links for the 1st 10 posts... Its a site like codefi.re/autoprime
Can someone please tell me what the 4 different versions of the D802 files are?
3. Any recommended ROMS/kernels that are absolutely brilliant? I know that all devs make great roms but with specifically battery life, STABILITY, and all the LG features (like knock on and the new message reply box thing and quickmemo, etc) I have heard a lot about Pardus. Might try that out soon if I dont get any other recommendations.
4. I read about Jishnu's camera mod. The links have been deleted from his thread. Is it okay to ask if anyone has a backup? I would like to try it if possible.
5. I read about Viper Sound Mod. Is there an updated method of installing this on stock rom? The thread I found seemed outdated and half the links were invalid
Nobody?
Depends on what you want. Have you researched aosp roms? All the things you looked up are fine. Tweaks for a ton will help enrich its use but to change to a complete different operating system is what you should try out if you want to see something different. Modems usually come with the rom. Make sure you flash the correct variant for your device.

Asking about root for Lollipop (a small community rebuke)

Hello guys,
at first I want to say that I am really happy to be a member of this community, where so many users from different countries with different devices come together
and conducting experience exchange. This community is really important for every G3 user, especially to be updated on latest software or to solve problems.
But what really drives me nuts is the ongoing asking about how to root Lollipop in every possible thread.
The answers are mostly the same, what makes this question (let it be a post or a thread) almost useless.
Not only that it annoys me if I am continuously reading the same things, it also makes the whole forum confusing and relevant informations may go missing.
Why we cant create a seperate thread for rooting Lollipop whereto all this issue regarding threads will get removed?
And let us be honest: If you are not able to collect knowledge about rooting from the already existing threads, you shouldnt do it anyway.
Sorry but that had to be said
Just my 2 cents!

Wrong section for your REBUKE. We have Mods who determine whats right or wrong to post and they delete or move threads accordingly.
This rant is a waste of time and space. IMO should be in the Q & A Section but thats for the moderators to decide.
The next big thing will be to ROOT the G3 in its Lollipop/ART state which is why you see this question asked everywhere.
whoever comes up with a way to do this is worthy of praise.
I think the hardest thing to do is 1) Tell everyone at once that it doesn't exist yet, and 2) Tell everyone once it's achieved!
Sticky's do not work, in this day and age where information is so readily and quickly available, most people will not read pages of Q&A, no point discussing it it just will not happen.
Would be nice if once root on stock is done, that a message could be sent to anyone who's posted keywords 'root' + 'stock' under the LG G3 forums. Maybe that's an app in itself. IFFFT + Pushbullet etc etc
I second that my man. RoOT me stock G3 xda
we want to do something about the root Lollipop, please let
Hey guys, I'm using the d852 variant , upgraded to lollipop recently via the OTA, and obviously lost root because of it. Can anyone PLEASE help me get root back?! I've skimmed every post on XDA and not a single one mentions root for lollipop . thanks in advance

Hi Friend,
Please try this thread that I just created: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-update-to-lollipop-root-bumpd-twrp-t3048845
...it's tested to be working fine for my LG G3 variant (D858HK). The steps are from this original thread; I just added an extra manual step (and my thread looks long because I tried to detail the step, with pictures).

Roms for Dev Edition

Hi all, there's been some back and forth as to which ROMs work on the dev edition. I decided to make a thread to list the ones I've tried and work. I figured we can share which worked and what you did to get them working (i.e. change APN, kernel, etc.). Thank you devs for sharing your great work I've used the following successfully:
Definitive
CM12 (known bugs)
Firekat (in T-mobile thread, daily driver)
Stock
Rick's
Well considering that there is no root available for the retail version it would make total sense that roms posted in the development forums are for the Dev edition of the device. I don't believe there is any question as which roms are for the Developer Device.
Edfunkycold
Have a great day!
I think he means Rom's that work versus those with too many bugs as opposed to DE vs RE rom's.
For this to be fully useful I would suggest links to the forum post for each Rom and listing out the different CM12 variants (AICP, PAC, etc.). Thanks
What I meant was, "I tried ROM xyz from the tmo forum using ABC kernel". I apologize if it wasn't clear enough. Some folks have successfully ported Roms that were for a different carrier.

My suggestion is that you edit the title also the other user has a great idea to post links for each one so you can actually have a help thread or index.

So....how did you get Firekat to work, then?
I'll update the page with links, etc. today. The Dev, Mega, makes a Verizon Dev edition specific version of Firekat. 11x is the most recent and it is listed under the T-Mobile Note 4 section but labeled as vzw.

New to this

Mod Edit:
You have already raised this in Q and A. One question at a time please, in one place.
Thanks
A good rom is Lineage OS 14.1 Official for the S4. It is stable and good for daily usage.
There are pinned posts at the top of the Galaxy S4 General subforum that should be of help in actually rooting the device, though actually rooting it is not difficult. The main question I ask people lately when it comes to a ROM is whether they care about having Touchwiz features or not, as that will narrow down the available choices. From there, only by trying out the ROMs will you find one you like.
Before flashing anything, I recommend booting into download mode to confirm the model number.
Try it and find out. I don't use LineageOS so I can't tell you if it will or will not work. @audit13 no longer has his S4 if I recall so he's not going to be able to tell you, unless he used it in the past. Asking your questions on the forum is more than sufficient, though you will have to be patient when it comes to replies. PMs are dicey. I ignore tech support PMs and audit13's stance on them is unknown to me.
I no longer use an S4 but it's important to know the exact model number before flashing anything. The 9500 is very different, internally, than the 337 and 337m.
