Oh dear God.. You can't get it into cwm settings at all? My suggestion at this point would be to play with holding those buttons and try to get the phone powered off.. Once you get the phone off plug it in the comp holding vol up yo get it in download mode.. I don't believe you can initiate download mode until the phone is completely off..

since I'm having a hard time understanding you I'm going to say your best bet is to try and figure out how to get your phone into download mode. I must rest you that your phone has to be powered off in order for you to get it into download mode. Here's a link with some tools to use once you get it into download mode
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476

Does not work with the up and down in any way because they do not enter recovery or download mode. my only hope is this but do not quite understand

Unable to enter download/recovery mode

the picture wont help on what phone model that is...refer to your phone ,remove back cover and check..or check the box...
assuming thats a galaxy s I9000 , go into download mode(you are safe as long as you can get into download mode), flash stock ROM via ODIN or Heimdall....
my model is gt-I9000
according to the back of the phone...
and how to flash stock rom exactly?
He wrote that he can't get into dl mode... and by booting into recovery, he gets the blackscreen of death... that's really strange.

actually he wrote he can get into DL mode, but not recovery....but yes its also strange why he gets that ! when going into recovery...
when you power on by holding volume down+home button+Power button..do you get download mode? the big triangle with the android digging? if yes the you are safe...
to answer your questions: refer to here for guided HOW TO's to flash via odin / heimdall, it also includes guides to get out of that phone-!-computer...
dark_knight35 i can get to download mode...only to recovery i can't
ok good news
i did flash of stock rom into the phone so i have a new recovery that work but the rom is not work and when i do in the recovery mount usb storage i don't see anything in the pc from the phone..
what to do now?
Explain more in detail is vital for getting any help.
Not intended to mock your English but saying "rom is not work" is really diffuse.

I don't know if you managed to find the solution to this, but for anyone else out there that hasn't, just download the AutoRec app. Fixes it in seconds and flashes TWRP Recovery.
need help

It's a bootloader issue, for me it was. If you can enter recovery, flash JB Bootloader or KK Bootloader, whatever your rom needs. it worked for me.
Autorec

Hey man, if youre able to boot into your rom, try this,
AutoRec
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2715496
It sorts of reflashes your boot recovery to TWRP, works for me when i got the same error.

Thanks for this. I just ended up back on a (brand new, mind you) G2. I've had SO many problems with rooting, recovery, download mode, etc... I have TWRP installed, stock ROM and somehow ended up getting the secure boot error only when entering download mode. My phone was booting, recovery was working, etc - just download mode seemed toasted. AutoRec fixed it - so, thanks for posting this!
I had the same issue, if some of you want to know how I fixed it these steps might help you too...
What you need is :
Any versoin of stock kdz. I used 11a. GET FROM HERE
LG Universal drivers. Get them here
If you have verizon get your driver here
KDZ Flash tool. GET IT HERE
1- Power off your phone completely ... remove battery etc...
2- Plug the UsB cable to your phone and your computer.
3- Hold down volume up and power button and enter in the download mode
4- If you in download mode you can now flash any KDZ file using the method in one of the guide above or find it using google.
after flashing you will have the stock rom installed. I was on 4.2 and for some reason i was not able to root with "ioroot" until i updated to 4.4!
so make sure you are on 4.4 to do the root
later you can install any recovery. I installed autorec.apk and then booted into recovery and flashed latest version of twrp
thats about it.... but don't install MIUI that rom is stupid

have you try vol down + power button ( LG Logo ) then Hold Vol down + Power ? till you get to factory reset ! and power key again will take you back to recovery
WOW! Thank You soooooooooooooo much! I flashed a cloudyg3 backup from VK Rom and got this error but this method worked!
Just download AutoRec and choose to flash TWRP. Worked for me.

Super weird no download mode/no recovery problem

So i reset my S5 in prep of selling it and was on Omega V10. Upon boot after reset i kept getting the message : "Unfortunately, the process com.android.systemui has stopped"
I can keep pressing ok and it comes back every 2 sec. I cannot reboot into download mode or recovery either. I really could use some help!

If you have USB Debugging enabled, it's easy to fix your problem. Just turn off your phone and enter Download Mode (Volume Down+Home+Power buttons) and flash a stock ROM through Odin

OMG, sry. My mind isn't with me today  To the OP, try and claim warranty over the phone (if it can't even boot, they won't know you've rooted it and such things). If that doesn't work, it's time for a new phone AFAIK! Hope they replace it for you :fingers-crossed:

How can i make my phone work again need help pleeaaase ((((
U need to go into recovery mode by powering off your phone then keep your fingers on volume up and power. Power botton should be the last key. (Even when the phone turn on dont release the botton until u go into a black screen with som writing) when u are in recover mode use volume up snd down keys to navigate to factory reset then use power key to select it then scroll down to yes then use power to select it then wait until everything is over then reboot the phone.

LG D290N bricked, no normal boot, no download mode

Hi friends !!
I've a problem. When i power up my LG L Fino (D290N), i give an error "ERROR: Boot certification verify" and after shutdown and black screen.
I've tried to flash kdz file, previously downloaded, and i can't access to Download mode giving same error like normal boot. I'm tried to use ".tot" file and same problem, i can't access to download mode too.
I don't now how i can resolve this. For this reason, please, i ask for help.
Thank you very much to all users.
Greetings !! =)
Remove the battery for about 10 seconds and put it back. Now with the phone completely off (DON'T TURN IT ON!), enter the Download mode and install a KDZ.
