GPRS prices all over the world

Hi
I decided to create this thread to find out how much does gprs cost in different countries.
In Poland it's about 70gr/1kb (100gr = 1zl, 3.3zl = 1eur, 1$ = 2.4zl)
But there are also some packets, for example in PLUS network you pay 10zl/50mb (0.14$/100kb, but first you must send sms to activate this packet).
How is it in another countries?

There are pf course premium GPRS/3G/HSDPA packages for those who use their pc's for mobile broadband etc.
I have one of the cheapest carriers on GPRS data (OneCall) and no sum to pay pr . month (excl. used sms/data/phone) and I pay 5kr/MB which is 0.82USD pr MB

Just signed up to a rolling 30 day contract with Vodafone UK for the following:
75mins/500 texts - £10
500Mb - £7.50
Not sure on the charge if i go over.

In Orange Dom. Rep. you get:
5Mb./US$4.95 or roughly 0.99/MB.
Unlimited/US$53.00.
Additional Mb. US$1.83.

in Vietnam, GPRS unlimited pkg cost 8$/month, or 0.12$/mb.

In Mexico
I have a 150mb monthly plan for $450 mexican pesos = $43USD
Much much cheaper in Vietnam!!
Mexican carriers are well known for having the most expensive rates all over the world

Sri Lanka
For GPRS/EDGE/HSPA in Sri Lanka Its
5 USD for 300mb
10 USD for 1000mb
and 0.1USD per additional 10 mb
25 USD for Unlimited (5gb fair usage policy)

In India AIRTEL provides EDGE Access for INR 199/- (approx $4) for unlimited data transfers.

I am paying in Mexico 379Pesos = 31 USA Dollars. for an Unlimited plan with Telcel
it includes 500 MB full speed about 1000kbps (3G), when i reach 501MB, the speed will be only 128Kps...

i'm shocked, $8 for unlimited access... and how is it with umts/hsdpa range in Vietnam?

in Paraguay i'm paying 5 U$ for 160 MB monthly.
not so bad i guess.

In Brunei.. there is only 2 operator..
1) DSTCom : BND0.01/200kb - Prepaid
BND0.005/100 kb - Postpaid
2) BMobile : BND0.01/50kb - Prepaid & Postpaid
And I am using DSTCom Prepaid..

In Italy, for UMTS traffic
"3" offers a plan of 50MBytes/day at 9 Euro/month or 3 Euro/Week
(only for Public Administration) Telecom Italia Mobile offers a special fare of
500MB/month at 2.5Euro/month or
10 GB/month (practically unlimited) at 7.50 Euro/month
Skype works well with both providers

In Czech republic
T-mobile - unlimited data plan monthly : 42 USD only GPRS or EDGE in all country, there is not 3G usable in phone...
Vodafone and O2 its the same **** - aboout 42 USD unlimited GPRS and EDGE in all country and 3G network only in Prague - capitol of CZ, 3G from O2 in Brno - second large city...
Our little country is very expensive "data desert" with slow gprs or edge...

O2 UK I have unlimited (1Gig Fair Usage though) for £7.50 p/mth, howerver I pay nothing for it as I have it as my free bolt-on. T-mobile UK also has 1gig for £7.50 or 3gig for about £12 p/mth. A lot better than what Orange or Vodafone are able to offer.

Here there's 3 official Providers:

and there s a monthly payment special packet

Tab in the UK, what service

For those in he UK what service provider and plan are Julie using? I was just in Norther ireland and stoped by a orange dealer and asked what voice plans they had for the tab and all the Guy told me was that they had data plans and was not sure if a voice and data plan as available.

Can you buy an android or smartphone plan?

I use prepaid SIMs in my Tab.
I seldom use voice, so I have a TMobile SIM at the moment with their 6MONTHWEB booster which gives you 1GB a month for 6 months for 20 quid.
Also, when I travel in Europe, TMo has the least unreasonable data roaming charges - £10 per 50MB, which is enough for emails and light browsing for a few days.
If I was going to put my Tab on a postpaid plan, I'd go for Three's One Plan, which gives loads of minutes and truly unlimited data for £25pm.

Wow it's expensive...before free in france a plan like mine was 80€ a month or more because it was for pro only !

I run my entire phone off of a mobile wifi hotspot device that I carry with me which cost me $50 dollars a month. Which I also use to connect with my laptop when I'm home.
So I guess its $0 for me as far as a wireless plan goes for the phone itself.
I was tired of contracts and wireless companies in general.

I pay about $190 a month for a family plan 1600 minites, 4 lines all smartphones and all you can eat data/sms

I pay 3euro for Unlimited Interent 3G Fast as 21.6Mbps(5GB but after that slow speeds,still unlimited). Unlimited minutes and SMS in my carriers network and 3.76 eurocents for calling other network in my country.

Brazilian carriers now are giving away so many phone plans w/ unlimited call to their own mobile lines, as well as "unlimited" 3G data connections - but with speeds usually limited to 1Mb for the first 10 Mbs of traffic, and then reduction to 100Kbps.
I still feel sorry for Brazilians like me.

I live in Oman. The internet sucks! No unlimited, 2 main ISPs with no competition between them same "offers", speeds never cross 1 Mbps with all of their crappy offers, the govertment doesn't allow new Telecom companies to operate here and VoIP services are blocked because they have to pay a license which cost around million/year until recently because some foreign experts are coming here to explain the usefulness of VoIP. Greedy bastards.

I'm going to Indonesia this summer and I will stay for 1 year then to Malaysia or Australia for 4 years. No more crappy internet service!

no its because of the weak infrastructure they said they will improve it on 2010 and then they postponed it to 2013. The speeds are very slow after dusk worse than EDGE 30 mins to download a 1 MB file

I pay $57 a month with AT&T for 400 talk minutes, unlimited data, and no text messaging. I get a 20% discount through my employer though as employee discount for personal use.

[Q] Best Plan For Nexus 4?

I'm currently on the $25 Virgin Mobile plan (Unlimited data/text, $300 minutes), and I was planning on upgrading my phone. With the recent announcement of the price of the Nexus 4, I think I might get on that. However is there any plan that is comparable to my Virgin Mobile plan? Seems all carriers have ridiculously expensive plans.

TMobile has some pretty good plans.

Tmobile 30 dollars for unlimited text/data (first 5 gb at "4g speeds") and 100 minutes is what I use. Only available from t mobiles website and walmart. I use Groove IP at home for free calls, but I also already used GV for years so the number is the same for me.

I'm pretty happy with my $45 straight talk unlimited minutes, text and unlimited data (it's really limited to about 2-2.5gb per month then your thottled) on the at&t side of things. You can get the same deal on straight talk with a t-mobile sim card and I hear they are lot more lenient on data consumption. I read about people routinely using 5-7gb's and not being throttled. That's my two cents.

IT's hard to beat the tmobile $30 unlim data/text plan.

where are you people getting these prices for prepaid? All I see is $70 a month for 5GB data

Basically buy the prepaid activation sim kit from T-Mobile website (only .99 cents) then when you activate it it's one of the options.

Value Plan for T-Mo is not bad if you need multiple lines.

Canadians: What provider are you going to go with for your off contract N4?

I'm currently with Bell and my contract is expiring in Nov. My plan isn't great so I might end up switching but honestly, I don't know if there is much better out there. All other companies plans seem to suck just as much. Who you guys with/going with?

To take advantage of DC-HSPA+ I recommend going with Bell and Telus. I am however with Big Red. They have never let me down...

Honestly, no callerID drives me since it comes with like half the other companies and I'm not paying bell 7 bucks for it lol. I don't tend to go over my 1gig, but I feel like I would use more data if I knew I had more.
Might try Telus or even Koodo (like the Canada long distance and international texts). Just wish we had those crazy american plans that are like 30 dollar 6gig or whatever nonsense lol.

These Nexus 4 phones don't have LTE so paying Bell for high speed is pointless just go with any unlimited Mobilicity or Wind, or other reseller 21Mbps HSPA+ contract good enough speed for a phone. I pay $30/mth "unlimited" data and voice/sms but have never reached the monthly limit, the speeds are of course throttled but since I only use mine for calling people, jabber chat, ssh logging into servers and casual surfing the speed is fine.

Holy ****, how did you get that ?? I understand retention, but were you on or off contract when you bargained??? I'm with bell and get evenings and weekends, texting, 200 any time minutes, and 500mb of data, no VM or CID...

Got this plan when I bought the Galaxy Nexus back in february. I just hate their phone selection but in overall I'm very happy with the service they provide in my area. Of course this was an hidden plan that I had to negociate but during last summer all major companies did a "6 gigs promo" with a similar plan for new consumers.
Koodoo had some realy interessing plans back in february, you should check with them too!

Go with wind mobile... hahahaha
40$ month an unlimited service for everything data text calls voice mails... n everything you can imagine... plus always off contract.

I have great reception for where I spend most of my time. There are ofcourse pockets I know of where data is very slow. Pretty happy with Wind at the end of the day. Unless you spend lots of time underground or deep inside buildings, I think you'll be happy with them too.

I'm with Rogers atm and probably staying with them since I have a pretty good retention plan. I'm due for an HUP, probably going to upgrade to iphone5 and then sell it to cover costs of the unlocked N4.
