Hello everyone, after searching a lot about connecting a DVB-T USB dongle to android smartphones I found the following thread :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1841759
but I couldn't get it to run on my Galaxy S3 with rooted android 4.3 and kernel version 3.0.31-2168382.
I want to know if anyone has managed to connect a DVB-T TV USB dongle to his device and watch TV, please share the steps you have done...
Thank you.
I don't want to use Tivizen dongles...
Figured this would be the best place to ask, discus or what ever else takes the fancy but I was floating the internet the other day looking up about USB OTG for my T230NU and found this...
A bit of googling didnt seem to pull up the CPU that the Brazilian "NT" varient uses... but what I am thinking is if it uses the same Marvell SoC as the T230 / T230NU would that be something that could be ported?
I Did do a quick forum search before typing this and nothing came up and thought it of potential interest
Anybody looking into this? OTG would be nice. Hate not being able to mount usb storage properly as well.

OTG support is not available on marvell variants. I don't know if the same holds tru for the sm-t237p which is a qualcomm/msm device
like the tab 4 10.1 and the tab 4 8.0
The same lack of OTG support occurs in the tab 3 line for the 7.0 models, again, marvell.
While the code is present in the kernel source, the actual required hardware components are not present on the board.
So the answer is no.

Edit- i do have a question about mounting the tab as usb-storage in recovery, either philz or twrp, does that work ?
My samsung galaxy young y gt-s5360 is unable to detect in any os not in windows as well as in ubuntu . I tried everything from kies to all available driver even trying in odin mode . Plz help if possible, and a question can i install linux kernel just as flashing open hardware boards like beaglebone and arduino with debian or angstron operating system or can build a linux kernel.
Hi,
as you know, TAB S2 has Exynos 5433 as our device and the firmware is online now:
http://www.sammobile.com/2015/07/24/first-galaxy-tab-s2-8-0-firmware-now-available-online/
Do you think it will be possible to port some of it's functionalities (maybe new TW if it has) to our device?
And do anyone know if TAB S2 is running in 64bit mode? Then maybe we can get 64bit kernel on our device too....
UPDATE: TAB S2 is running 32bit 5.0.2....another example of ****ty samsung development
Thanks Jiri
Really Samsung?
I still don't know why don't they enable 64 bits mode in both devices. Let's hope they do it after the note 5.....
By the way, there is a thread
HTML:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/galaxy-note-4-developer-discussion-developers-only/wip-64bit-build-exynos-5433-t3090926
where they were trying to enable it but, AFAIK it's dead. ...
