Which variant of note 3 has better support on xda Snapdragon or Exynos

Hey guys am having a hard time making a decision over which variant of note 3 to buy, note really concerned about 3G or 4G, am only looking forward to buying the one with more support on XDA. Pls need your opinion on this.

Snapdragon pretty much always has better dev support here.

snapdragon but samsung always releases new firmware and sources first on their exynos devices before snapdragon. I would go for an exynos because it is easier for me to tweak with perseus kernel and has better memory management. gets hot but the processor and gpu are easier to manipulate. Snapdragon is cool though. byt then again, thats just me ranting about

[RUMOR] Samsung concidering KitKat update for S3 Mini and other mid-end phones

According to the source, Samsung is thinking of bringing Android 4.4 KitKat to its several mid-end devices. The list includes the Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S3 mini, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy Ace 3, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Fame, Galaxy Ace 2, and the Galaxy Fresh -likely there are other devices else but not captured in the picture. We don't know if it's real or not. We can just hope that Samsung will bring the new life to them, and of course our Galaxy S3 Mani.

Yes, it's just a rumor. We have Maclaw's CM 11.0 though Samsung won't update our S3 Mini to KitKat ?

Hopefully we get 4.2 i dont really think we gonna get kitkat, maybe just the chocolat but no the OS.

cm 11 suits your need. it's great you have kitkat before it's officially released

Why talk about rumours about kitkat cm11 is here and stable already, it aint no rumour either

Probably not , they have dosens of S4 versions Note3 ,upcoming S5 versions and note 4 to boost to Kitkat.
S3 is 2 years old device , 4.3 seems apropirate.

I am only refering on what I've read on sammobile. Well actually I was looking for a 4.3 update for CSC XEF (france unbranded) while I did my search I saw that kitkat thingy and I was waah? This April? Thats nice. Heheh. Just sharing thou!

The device was announced & released on May 2012, how is it two years old already? 1.5 years.

Samsung usually push 2 updates to their phones we got these updates so it would be a miricle to get kikkat from samsung

iphone 4s gets the newest ios form apple and why sould the s3 dont get kitkat? kitkat was made for lower devices and s3 is quad core or am i a noob and the s3 is now a low device

It will surely get kitkat. Why it wouldn't? 4 months are ahead,so it will be shocking if Samsung won't do anything in these months.
S4 and Note 3 will get their Kit Kat and then it will come to S3 and Note 2 devices,I'm 100% sure.

S3 & Note 2 will get the KitKat bar !! In 1 or 2 months S4 and note 3 will get kitkat (stock roms have already leaked ) ..the in 3 or 4 months S3 will get kit kat ....dont 4get the great and mighty S2 which got a lot of updates and compared to S2 , S3 users are more !!

4.4 update has been released for note 3
next device getting it will be S4
and as of S3 ,it will be surely getting 4.4 but it may cross the estimated time of april

apple even update iphone 4 but the update was failure. i agree with you we should get kikkat but this is samsung. they said we will get the update till aprili, still dont believe them until i see it

Don't worry,we will get kitkat.

lets hope we get it i love my s3 and touchwiz it would be great if we get kitkat

Btw,don't expect lower RAM usage. That will be optimized for low-end devices,but not for us.

Hi, there is already a quites stable beta version of SLIM-KAT available for the GT-i9300.
It is based on AOSP 4.4.2 and more information you can find on the XDA-forum "[ROM] [4.4.2] SlimKat i9300 [beta Weeklies]" and their website "slimroms.net".

S3 is the father of mobile . its better than i9500 - and yes with cm you will always be updated and better than stock one.
I am on 4.4.2 and ART its fabulous fast with 1.6 Ghz

Official lollipop already started rollout for i9500 for over 2 weeks now http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/43078/I9500XXUHOAA_I9500ODDHOA2_INU.zip/ so int version very soon

I want a more solid source than Samsung Polland before I get excited about this.

I want to try Lollipop on my father phone

If the upgrade comes, will be in months because most phones that already have lollipop not bring fm radio, and we know that problems may have to adapt this function to art.

I've also just recently (5 days ago) bought used sm n9005 just because it has many roms and development is very active and also because Note 3 is very powerful device even after 3 years now

I tell you what...
Note 3 can use features n4..n5..s7..n7 n anything els by custom roms porting..
But can you imaging when n4..n5..s7..or n7 used custom rom port note 3??

I bought a used 9005 from eBay a month ago, for 150€ and haven't regretted it. I'm using it as my daily driver with Phronesis 4.0. Best 150€ I've spent in ages!!
