Camera app crashes on Galaxy S4 Sprint - Omni Q&A

I love Omnirom so far and the latest nightly build fixed my data. I am running 01/04/13 version of Omnirom. I now lost my camera functionality. Is there a fix for this? Thanks.

Google Translate cant focus camera?

Is anyone else having issues with the camera not focusing when using the Google Translate camera input? I am on the latest M release of CM10 from 3/4 I believe.
What radio/Android version are you using? Using older (non-.48) radios on 4.2.2 tend to cause this problem.
Hi JaiaV,
I just tested this with a brand new clean install of CM10.1 nightly 3/18. Google Translate = incapable of focusing the camera.
I reverted back to an old backup of a Jellybro Euroshank build back in February with 4.2.1 for testing too. Google Translate = capable of auto focusing here.
The radio on the clean CM nightly shows up as this:
Baseband version: M9615A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.1700.33
You think that might be the issue? Let me try.
[Edit] You, sir, are a genius. Upgrading radios fixed it! Thanks!

Photosphere on CM 10.2/Carbon 4.3

Does anyone have it working? I tried the new 4.4 camera and it FC's when selecting photosphere.
Is there a working version?
I flashed the banks core gapps and the photosphere camera zip. It worked for the little time I had CM. I went back to stock. Quality wasn't that Good for me. I have T-Mobile D801

[Q] Terrible In Call Quality [CyanogenMod]

Hi! I recently have installed the following ROMS on my i9500:
CyanogenMod 10.1
CyanogenMod 10.2
CyanogenMod 11
All three of these roms are giving me terrible in call voice quality. I would go back to stock 4.3 but my back up did not work. I tried clearing the cache/wiping dalvik/factory reset.
Is this a common problem/glitch that most people are known to have occur with CyanogenMod roms? If so, can I fix it because I LOVE the rom. It's very smooth. If I cannot fix it, what daily rom/driver do you recommend as an alternative?
Please help, I really appreciate it. Thank you so much!

Omnirom 4.4.4 and Camera app problem

My phone is Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE (GT-I9305) and I use the latest Omnirom 4.4.4 stable build. It's rooted. I used CM11 before than I flashed my phone for Omnirom.
The problem is that a default camera app crash after a few shots and then Omnirom shows a message like "Unable to connect to camera". I have also tested other apps as Focal and Open Camera but the result is exactly same. I get rid of this problem when I restart phone but this is not a good way.
Does someone know solutuon about this problem? Google's stock camera app includes a panorama feature and I would need it. I can't find that featute in Omnirom.

Cm 12 vs cm 12.1 ?

Hello, i tested CM 12.1 and I liked it, excepted few bugs with Google Maps (but I think it's a problem with Android 5.1.1 because also Nexus got this problem) and Wifi (it get disabled after few minutes). I noticed the 2nd problem there isn't in Lollipop 5.0.2 and Icm curious to know if the Google maps problem got fixed too, but now I'm using RR LP 5.5.9 and it's amazing. Is it worth to install CM 12? Which is better? What changes? Thanks!
