So will Cyanogen Mod move to CM11 ?

With the new Nexus 4, will the Cyanogen Mod team have to start fresh with new Nightly's CM11 based off Android 4.2 ? How long until those first Nightly's are available to flash ? Few days after Nexus 4 release, or we talking weeks a month ?

Probably a solid month, I don't think this will motivate a CM11. They'll most likely keep 10 and wait until the next big, big push before they bump to 11. The "K" release, or whatever.
codeworkx already posted on twitter about his excitement over this device. Selling his I9300 and using the left over money to buy an N4 and then get drunk with the rest lol

I am guessing they might make it CM10.2.

Given that they don't have a 10.1 release out yet, that's doubtful.
Its still CM10 that's a definite. They go by the name of the android version (Jellybean) which starts with a "J" which is the 10th letter of the alphabet, thus CM10.

For shure it will be cm 10 most probably cm10.1, cm 11 will be kye lime pie
You have a thanks button and don't know what to do with it? ...
Just press it
Either way who cares what its called. I just want it on my gs3 and n4 when i get it.
It seems like more and more CM features are being put into stock android, not sure if it is even worth it to run CM roms anymore.

CM will always be worth it in my eyes. However, Google is certainly being awesome by including so much more stock customization over time, Android 4.2 even brings lockscreen widgets and notification toggles!

CyanogenMod based off the 4.2 will be 10.1 according to the release statement on the CyanogenMod blog featured here:
http://www.cyanogenmod.org/blog/cyanogenmod-10-0-release
"Android 4.2 will become CyanogenMod 10.1 and we will provide an update on our Google+ when nightlies with the 4.2 code begin."

With the blistering sucess of cm10....they will definately move on to a new upgraded version..and i guess we all are waiting for it... DESPERATELY !!
Does that mean if cm10 doesnt succeed we wont receiving cm11?
If the rumours are true Google is doing an android 4.3 instead of android 5.0 so wouldn't that make it cm10.2?

Did you actually necro a thread dead for 6 months just to say that? :/
There's no point in speculating anything here. Really. We'll have CM of every new AOSP release, that's for sure. And it doesn't make any difference if it was called CM6343494566.64646, for instance.

AOKP PUB [unofficial] FAQ & Discussion thread - Last Build April 22nd, 2013

Hi,
Since thre is no dedicated thread about AOKP PUB in the Nexus 4 forum, here there is a thread for this rom for ours Nexus 4 (the current thread is HERE and maintained by bigxie but it's for the following devices -> Nexus 4 / Nexus 10 / Galaxy Nexus GSM / Galaxy Nexus CDMA. So there is not a really dedicated thread for the Nexus 4).
In the official thread of AOKP the AOKP PUB rom are not really welcome (no offense here, just a statement and I think this is what Romanbb wrote), and it becomes difficult to discuss about unofficial AOKP in the official AOKP thread.
This thread is only about AOKP PUB for the Nexus 4, general discussions, for questions, issues, etc... (for the official AOKP thread it's HERE)
bigxie said:
These are unofficial AOKP builds. Please do not post in official AOKP threads with bugs or negative experiences possibly specific to these builds.
I've compiled AOKP using Steve Spear's Project Unicorn Butter (PUB) optimizations for the following devices:
Nexus 4 - mako
These builds contain all the same features as mainline AOKP, but with compiler, ARM architecture, and additional optimizations offered by PUB.
I will continue to sync and build new versions whenever there are major AOKP updates, or they release a new milestone or stable build.
The installation instructions are straightforward:
1. Download build for your device
2. Download latest gapps here: http://goo.im/gapps/gapps-jb-20130301-signed.zip
3. Install both using TWRP or CWR (ROM, then GAPPS)
4. Wipe cache and dalvik (if coming from AOKP) / Factory Reset (if from another ROM)
5. Toggle your swagger on
Current Build Date: April 22nd, 2013
Current Release: Milestone 1 (changelog) + merged commits

All credit to Steven.k.spear for setting up PUB, and making it possible to continue to build these while he is taking a break from development.
And of course, the entire AOKP team for their hard work and innovation.
Let's use this thread to discuss these PUB builds.

All you want to know is mainly above... About PUB:
Stephen.k.spear said:
What is PUB? Project Unicorn Butter is a side project I've been working on. It has aal the features of AOKP plus Tons of optimizations for speed and smoothness.
Current PUB Optimizations:
Google GCC 4.7 Toolchain
O3
Strict-Aliasing (Linaro)
C++11 Mode
Optimized String Handling Routines (Linaro/Sony) (Fascinate May not be using these yet)
Misc other Linaro and Code Aurora Optimaztions

You can also find the Stephen.k.spear's original thread HERE (but the dev took a break from Development, however we can find some infos about the optimizations).
I would keep this thread updated when there is new build or new features about PUB
Credits:
To AOKP team for this awesome rom.
To Stephen.k.spear for the PUB.
To bigxie to continue the project.
So do not forget to thank them
Remember: I'm not the dev of this rom and I am not affiliated with AOKP team or bigxie in any way. I just share the work in our section. Flash at your own risk and anyone could not be responsible for what might happen...
PS: if you want to help me for this thread (language, typo, error, links, etc...) please PM me , it's my first thread for a rom so I may make mistakes, please be kind .
Reserved, just in case
Hi,
Links updated to the last PUB build: aokp_mako_unofficial_Mar-21-13.zip.
No major changes I believe since the last build, for more info see gerrit. No changes about Linaro / Bionic / Krait optimizations I believe too.

Last changes on gerrit.
Mainly:
- scrollable toggles
- new lockscreen settings
- edits in Rom Control ("consistency, the guidelines defined for Settings in Android Design, and grammar")
Thanks, I'm flashing this rom now.
Why don't you post it under Nexus 4 Android Development? without google search I'll never come across this rom.

Hi,
No, bigxie said there is no major changes between its last build and the AOKP build 6. He follows the AOKP build or he makes other builds if there are major changes on gerrit, so he makes a build before the official AOKP.

The linked thread provides the link to the team's Goo.im account. If there's not a new build there for 4.3, then it doesn't exist yet on the team's official repos. Do your homework.
Find the latest info on the paranoid android g+ page.

The PA g+ page is more regularly updated than the xda page. It might be the case that most stable builds are posted on xda.

I have been running PA versions 3.91 and 3.94 without any problems on my 2012 N7. Works great! Some people have had issues but I think mostly because they haven't followed the directions. Check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800268

[Q] CM 10.2 Stable

I had a fairly simple question, and please don't take it as a knock to any CM devs. My understanding is that the Nexus 4 (mako) is a device that google releases the entire build tree for, including all drivers for 4.3. I noticed that even today CM 10.2 doesn't have a stable build, and there is only about a week of nightlies. I've seen other devices like the Kindle Fire that are not Google devices get CM 10.2 faster than the Nexus 4. Does anyone know why that is? Again, I'm not knocking any developers/ports; I'm just curious as to what goes in to the development of the nexus devices.

Well, the CM team are probably having a hard time with dead locks in AOSP 4.3. That's why no AOSP 4.3 based ROM isn't considered "stable".
There is no 10.2 stable for any device yet. Cm don't release stable or RC builds until the rom is considered stable and bug free on most devices.
So I used the cm installer to get 10.2 snapshot? And now I'm about to update to I guess the stable version of 10.2 through settings - About phone - system updates. By doing this will this delete all of my data. (Sorry I'm a noob at this stuff).:silly: I'm using a nexus 4 BTW.. L

Will galaxy nexus get nightly build of omni ?

For the omni nightly has been out,I cant find it for galaxy nexus.
Will galaxy nexus been given up ?

The same answer, as always, for device support:
When a maintainer picks it up. I think someone was working on supporting it in 4.3, not sure what they've been up to with 4.4.
No one on the original team (e.g. those who were part of the project already when it was announced at the BABBQ) own any GNex variant.
Its not there yet. Soon will be. Gnex will never die ✌
