HyperDrive v12 AT&T - NEED Modules.zip . . . - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshootin

Hey guys. I just spent that last 16 hours peeling through hundreds of pages of posts and cannot find where to download the Modules.zip for the latest HyperDrive 12 release from the 25th. I am looking for the MK2 modules for the latest HyperDrive 12 / SafeStrap install. I have read the entire forum regarding SafeStrap and also HyperDrive 12 ... maybe I missed it? I don't know. My eyes are blurred and I just would like to find the answer please. Anyone who can help me would be greatly appreciated ... a link or file or page link to the Modules.zip for HD MK2 would be perfect.
I am on Galaxy S4 - MK2 4.3 Firmware rooted running SafeStrap v3.71.
Thanks!

Hello! It went okay. Since this post I have upgraded to HyperDrive v14. The rom is pretty decent. It's got some great tweaks and also some bad downfalls. Word of advice if you're installing it. Go to the AT&T forum and grab the modules. The main thread for this rom is in Verizon so it's a bit confusing until you realize it has a sister thread in AT&T. Also make sure you install in this order: 1. HyperDrive Rom - 2. AT&T Compatibility Pack - 3. AT&T Kernel Modules (or you won't have working WiFi or Blue-Tooth on the I337). Then reboot and you're good to go. I did mine a bit different. I installed the STOCK i337 MK2 rom as the "base" rom like you're supposed to but then used SafeStrap v3.71 to wipe the data, system, and cache partitions and then installed HyperDrive as the Base rom. It worked flawlessly. Many forum pages say this cannot work properly but I have ZERO issues so far and my system reports an "Official" Rom is installed. Also I don't have ALL the wasted space from multiple roms installed either and it allows me to install as many apps as I want without a space limitation (besides the original 32GB the phone provides). The rom itself is okay with a few minor/major quirks. It is by far the best rom available though for the Galaxy S4 AT&T I337 model. Hands down in my opinion.
Thank You Sbreen and the rest of the dev team for all their hard work. :cyclops:

SGH-I337 with safe strap, No wifi

Sorry if this is answered else where but I have done several searches and spent hours hunting for the right answer, or possibly one a noob could understand. I just rooted my SGH-i337 and then installed Safe Strap 3.71 and the jflteatt-MK2-modules and hyperdrive RLS13. The problem is my wifi doesn’t work so I am thinking I need to ad a modem. My phone works ok. Sorry if this doesn’t make sense but I am pretty new to this stuff.

Thanks ted77usa I will check out the link and see what I can figure out. This is fun stuff to mess with and it is great that the added rom lets you go back and forth with no problems. So when I get the right pack installed and then the modules will it say SGH-I337 again? That way I would know it is right if so. Thanks again for the help.

I tried what Ted was suggesting above. If you STILL have issues with wifi, downgrade your modem to a previous version(I used MDL). It'll fix your wifi, then you can flash current/MK2 and retain wifi.
That fixed the problem Ted

I went in and delete the ROM slot, then rebooted and recreated it, then installed hyperdrive followed by the modules and everything works perfect. I confused the modules for the rom when I installed it the first time. Hey it ain't easy being a noob!
Thanks to Ted and Dlnp for the replies.

Good link to of Hyper Drive RSL12 to use on att S4

Hello,
I have been looking to try out the Hyper Drive rom for some time now, but haven't been able to find a good link with a matching md5 number. I have a att samsung s4. I am rooted with safestrap and running MK2. i have read my fair share of threads and have found everything i need except a working link. I understand that Hyper Drive RSL14 the newest version isnt compatible with MK2 ATT. I have read that RSL12 for verizon S4 is compatible with ATT. is this true? or am i mixing things up? can anyone point me in the right direction? the help will be much appreciated.
Not sure who told you rls14 isn't compatible bc plenty of people on safestrap are using it. One guy on safestrap is having an issue with Wi-Fi right now and I was trying to help him out.

Hyperdrive RLS12, 13, and 14 all work on MK2.
What you are thinking of is only the v12 that was in the Verizon thread worked on SS. The v12 in the ATT thread did not.
Now with version 14, the download for the att thread points to the download in the verizon thread, so it's the same ss compatible version. (I believe that was the case with v13 too.)

[Q] Verizon galaxy note 3 roms!!!

Hi guys, I have a question regarding some roming stuff with the verizon version of the galaxy note 3. I am not new to roms by any means and I have been searching frantically to find one place with the complete answer im looking for. I made the early mistake of taking the OTA upgrade for KK, therefore I am currently running 4.4.2 with the NC4 build and NC4 baseband. Now while i have easily rooted my phone at this point with the towelroot. I also have had no problem getting the new 3.72 safestrap installed and running on my phone. My question now at this point is trying to figure out my next step with a new ROM I am trying install....I have been looking at all of my info to get the Hyperdrive ROM installed and I cant seem to find all the info I need in one location. Can I or can I not flash a new ROM to the NC4 baseband? I have seen some information where some people say I might be able to flash the NC2 kernal using ODIN and others say just trying to flash any ROM in general creates a black screen in which a battery pull needs to be done...yada yada.....? So in short, am I able to flash a ROM to the note 3 at this point or am I S.O.L? :crying:
You are not going to receive an answer because you posted a question in the "General" section. Hopefully a mod can move this thread to the "Q & A" section.

Check out the OP by hsbadr he has done some great work and he lists very specific instructions on how to complete the flash of firmware/modem and rom without any problems
flashing note 3 custom roms etc to avoid "mandatory updates.
I'm in the same boat. I read that there's a possibility I should flash NC2 but I can't find a write up or sticky that says how. However I just received a notice that pointed me to some threads and answered my questions on terminology. ThankYou DavidFlory!! I will formally thank you in the thread. Until I can clear up the NC4/NC2 question I plan on keeping the rooted KitKat I've got. I'm scared Verizon/Google will attack again with a mandatory "update." Who's phone is this? What if I firewalled Verizon updater? Or froze it? The other day I did something that had columns of 3 pt text cascading on my screens until I used Samsung Kies to back me up flash the stock rom again. Root was retained. This was a worthwhile exercise as I had gotten carried away downloading android utilities.

Do you have the link?
OK so I found the link, followed every step I could which took a couple hours of research to get everything together. ...I flashed the jasmine rom, everything seemed to work fine until the last file in which Odin was successful, then I get a black screen that doesn't go away with any other means than a battery pull. Luckily I used the new 3.75 so I was able to do my rom under a different slot than stock...but maybe that's also the problem? So I'm back with a wiped phone and no custom rom which is irritating

Yes you can!! As long as the rom says that they support it you can. It says right here in red on the hyperdrive op-" This Rom is able to be installed on the Verizon Galaxy Note 3 On KitKat Bootloader with KK Safestrap" so make a backup with safestrap and try it out! And since it doesn't say anything about what specific one to use (I see what you are talking about) you won't have any harm with a backup. By the way the reason why a lot of roms were/are based on NC2 was because it was way more leniant than NC4 but now most if not all roms will support it. Just read the op.

Hmmm....well I tried to do the jasmine rom and I seem to have had the same problem that quite a few people are having. I put it in slot 1, created the rom slot and such, reboots into the recovery mode on ss just fine but then it goes to a black screen as if it's off. Have to battery pull. Maybe gonna try a different rom and see where I end up.
I'm running JasmineRom on the stock slot, but I also have the NC2 kernel..

You could try that (I would), or just flash the Nc2 stuff, then boot up (on stock), boot back to recovery and flash JasmineRom on stock. Those steps are just what I did and it worked for me. I'm really sorry but for the life of me that's the best I can remember about what I did. If none of that works, I'll try to install Jasmine onto a rom slot when I can.

You need to flash the rom after you've wiped everything, then reboot to download mode and install the unified firmware via odin. That should work.

[Q] Options with my new AT&T i337 and MF3

Long time XDA reader here and I am in a bit of a pickle here and I haven't been able to come across a difinitive answer. I apologize ahead of time if this question was answered elsewhere, but know that I have just become more confused as I continue to dig. I have some very basic experience with Odin, CWM, TWRP, Safestrap, from past modding/ROM loading. Please be gentle.
I've just recently finished my contract with Verizon, where I was running a Galaxy S3. I intended to hop over to Straight Talk but determined my S3 could only receive Edge data. So, off to sell my phone and buy something new. Swappa fulfilled both purposes easily and fast (shameless plug). I purchased an i337 and am running her on Straight Talk. So far, I am loving every second of the service and, most importantly, the phone.
My new i337 came loaded with the stock AT&T loadset, running 4.2.2, and the MF3 build. I immediately made my way to Cyanogenmod's (CM) site to take advantage of the new Installer. Much to my dismay, the i337 isn't compatible with the new installer. So, off to research and find out how to manually install CM. http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_jflteatt I hit a wall with the Loki installer portion. I've done a lot of digging and find that AT&T has apparently locked us in a cage and has limited our recovery options.
I have successfully rooted and installed safestrap. I have used script manager to disable the updates that attempted to download while on wi-fi. For now, I am holding tight on 4.2.2 and MF3. If I understand correctly, I can only use safestrap and not TWRP or CWM. I have read that I can only run TouchWiz ROMs. I am also understanding that I will have to maintain all of the AT&T bloatware ROM on the stock partition (taking up storage space) and place any new TouchWiz-only ROM on a new partition. I am not dead set on Cyanogenmod, just looking to get away from TouchWiz and not have to partition to take up more storage space. I just want one ROM on my phone.
Can anyone please shed some light on any of the following:
1. Should I stay at MF3 or accept the OTA updates?
2.a. What is my best choice for ever running Cyanogenmod?
2.b. If not Cyanogen, what is the next best non-TouchWiz possibility?
Thanks in advance folks!
I would upgrade to NB1 or NC1. More roms like 4.4's
You won't ever "probably" run CM or aosp roms.
No custom recoveries/kernels, only SafeStrap
There is a GPE rom here that is TW based so you can try it. Not perfect but gets you away from some TW. I forget name. Someone may have link.
If not already done, check out Genenal and Q&A for SafeStrap threads and All things MK2 etc. Also an MF3 upgrade thread. I am on MDL so don't need SafeStrap, hence don't have all the links handy.
First off, questions go in Q&A.
Best option would be to sell your device and get the T-Mobile version (bootloader is unlocked).
If you plan to keep this one, you may want to consider doing a carrier unlock while you still can.
Otherwise this guy ^^^ is correct.
Edit:
Two more things...
1) If you decide to sell this device (sell not return), it is worth more if you carrier unlock.
2) Pretty sure this device is no longer supported by CM (last update was February), so you are not missing anything.

I decided to take the plunge and accept my fate with this I337. I followed the great guide at the "[INDEX] All things AT&T MK2, NB1, and NC1 (including ROMs)" thread in the General Forum. I am now on NC1 and enjoying the Hyperdrive ROM. Took a little trial and error to get everything up and running (wi-fi in particular), but I'm happy to have dropped the AT&T baggage.
Thank you for the clear cut truth about my poor decision to trust that an AT&T S4 was going to be smooth sailing. If the great minds ever come up with a way to break the bootloader obstacle, I'll be ready to try something new. For now, I'm satisfied with what I have and I'll be trying out some of the other NC1 ROMS around here. I'll give the GE a go next!
Thanks again for the help!

Fantastic, glad you are up and running. The GE has some "not working" items. But, OP page spells that out. Personal choice, but I like reading last 20 pages of any thread I am going to be using, plus all of OP page.
Good Luck--:good:
