Ok, I get it to work, somehow.
It is an early release, not tested, use on your own risk!
It is not suitable to daily use, only for testing. It crashes often. It's not bad but this crashes are no-go for normal usage
I based on work from kasper_h and C-o-M so they should be credited for this.
I will post buildable sources later, but there are no changes from repos of this two guys, only some merging
As for gapps I used this one:
http://duckbox.info/android/gapps-wingray-kk-20131223.zip
but they are little buggy
you may try any from this thread or even some other for KK:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2593757
I am not sure what is working and what is not, but for sure these are working:
WiFi
Camera
3G
And HDMI output is broken as in every post-4.2 ROM
IT IS ONLY FOR P7300 VERSION (3G one)! When it wil be more stable I will build wifi version as well.
Ok, but you probably don't care about all of this and just want a dowload link
Here it is:
omni-4.4.2-20140103-p5-HOMEMADE.zip
Reserved
Thanks to keep alive our tablet:good:

Thank you so much mate
so overall it's a great ROM and it has lots of working stuff in it like:
WIFI
Bluetooth
Camera [both] as for taking photos and panorama
Apps are working properly
Torch
3G
Power menu buttons
System UI
ART function seems to be working
GPS
Keyboard
Sound
but the not working stuff are quite huge, I know it is kind of alpha and early release
so this bug list is only to help you develop the ROM:
it is so laggy
lots of random hot reboot and some times normal reboot
lots of crashes
camera video recording
screenshot capture [Storage may be in use]
(which is why I didn't provide any screenshots)
Thank you again for your hard work
hope you'll be able to make this ROM better
Great! Since Kitkat is supposed to run better on slower devices i hope this one will be also faster than the older android versions

no, even mic is not working in any app as for now
I dont plan to work on this feature as I have data-only card in tablet... Not before more important features.
and about screenshots they will probably never work. Guy from 10.1 tried to enable them and it causes even more UI lag...
Thanks for your work, man!
I was expecting for someone who will rebuild this rom for our tablets! (was reading gt 10.1 thread for a while).

I'll fix voice calling, as I use it sometimes.
BTW, our tablet need special patch for rotation animation:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...mmit/ac555b9ca9a76d13a26fc9ea40980fe57258761b
It requres rebase, though. Line 200 of services/java/com/android/server/wm/ScreenRotationAnimation.java is now line 223.
My own build still don't boot. Both boot.img and system files are broken after building..
Thanks for your work. In the 10.1 forum they have already a pretty good working version. Is it possible to use the same sources/manifests of the P75xx for the P73xx devices, so that whenever they do any changes that we also get the same changes for the P73xx?
@DemonGloom: I think you already tried it?

Yes, we are using almost the same device trees. Just wait for @pax0r to build new version.
Currently I cannot get mic working in phone calls. Incoming/outgoing calls with headset works great.
BTW, @pax0r, should i post latest TWRP for our devices or CWM is good enough?

To be honest I would prefer one CWM, because then I can switch easily between Android 4.4 and the previous versions.
I don’t see any reason that TWRP doesn't do that for you

I prefere also CWM,the prob is not the navigation with the keys, the backups which I have are created with cwm.
I have a better build than a previous but audio is not working, I need more time :<

Just a short question:
How can I get root access?
Any hidden setting?
I want to restore my titanium backups.

I ask because I saw 2 other threads of people trying it (Will try to find them) but wanted to make sure they had CWM before they really put things to work with the custom ROM.
More than anything, wanted this to be a discussion thread for system tweaks etc now that the tMo version is available, it won't be long for others to follow.
I believe koush posted a vid on youtube of cwm running on the tab.

Clockworks only works on bone stock tmobile tabs which is unfortunate for me since i need the euro firmware to make calls. I probably would flash a new kernel if tho. Waiting to see if anyone is brave enough to do it.

I'm using it on a tmo tab with JMA and Koush's kernel fixes the bluetooth mic bug for me.
If it's anything like the phones, flashing kernels shouldn't be an issue. If it messes up you can always go back via nandroid. If we can cook up some kernels that promote underclocking/undervolting we could start looking at better battery life for our devices.
From my experience with the phone area flashing radios is where the bricking occurs because of the bootloaders. Never flash the same radio twice. Also you should never flash just for the hell of it because of the riskyness of it.
I think now that we have nandroid cooking up roms should easy.

What's the bluetooth mic bug? (Searched on this term, and it only returned this thread!).
Regards,
Dave
i think its an issue with the NA tabs that prohibit the use of bluetooth microphone. maybe just another level of security to prevent convenient use of the phone
The N1 has a similar CPU and generally only gets to around 1.15Ghz, a _few_ will manage 1.2 in a stable fashion. I wouldn't expect the tab to get much beyond that.
I'm actually more interested in being able to UNDERclock the CPU, doing so on my N1 improves the battery life significantly.
The addition of the On-Demand governer would be beneficial as currently the SGT is stuck on the Conservative governer. I believe with the N1 kernel this is a compile-time option so with any luck it's as simple on the SGT.
Im pretty sure 1.4 will be possible but maybe not completely stable. I know some have gotten 1.3 stable on the galaxy s phones so it should be feasible.

Actually, the mic works fine on a cellular call. Its the VOIP calls from SipDroid, CSipSimple or Skype that has the microphone problem.

bump....bump...bump it up!
Actually, I'm gonna post new features to CM 7.2.0-RC0 that I find most useful/interesting (link)
1.Audio route through dock
I remember reading about a few people who were quite sad that CM7 did not have the ability to route audio through usb when docked as they used the car dock for the atrix and complained it was quite inconvenient to use the headphone jack.
Guess what?
Read here, here and here!
2.Quicker Camcorder Launch
Reduces the launch time of the camcorder application. (link)
3.Updated time zone info
Useful if your country abandoned DST this year (http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#change,9678)
4.Control Music via gestures on lockscreen
Able to gestures to switch to next/previous songs, or to play/pause songs. here and here.
5.Previous screen fix
Fixes the bug that, locking the screen (via Power Button), and then quickly unlocking (via Power Button) will show the whatever was previously displayed on the screen, was reported here.
(link)
6.Camcorder: Focus before recording
Camera focus before taking a video, for phones without CAF, like all tegra phones! Grrr
(link)
Any one you find particularly helpful?

Been running stable for since release. Loving it honestly, stock kernel.
Edit; those running nightly build are probably & having crash issues are probably running the 1.45ghz kernel. I, however I used to, don't like sacrificing stability and battery life on an already bottlenecked phone.

Same here, I'm sitting on my hands waiting for a STABLE CM7 w FP. As soon as that hits my donation is as good as sent! Until then it just kinda feels like "here's something like a CMwFP build now stop talking about it" lol. It's amazing to me the pissed off reaction people give to posts vaguely mentioning FP in CM, just like I'm sure this post will be ridiculed. Oh well, when it happens I will be the first donator, I already have the $$ set aside waiting for it to be truly integrated.
Wired... I was on Ba2TF and flashed the FP version and couldn't be happier. I haven't had a single problem, even using DataDefender for apps. I have had no problems with making or receiving calls, getting into my phone or anything... It is a pretty stable build. However, I did do a nandroid of my Ba2TF just in case, but I am truyly happy with the FP build. Hope that helps.

There should be no crashing in the FP build due to fp. It may perhaps be due to the overclocked kernel. We resolved the call issues with fp before we released. If you find any more please let us know.

such a hard decision, i pretty much switch back and forth every few days >.<
Could some please tell me if the scrolling in menus and application drawer (in Go Launcher or ADW in vertical mode) is smoother then on stock?
I've been using the stable plus FP for a week now and no problems but an wondering if anyone has figures put a way to her music controls and fp to work together ? If so I must be overlooking a setting and would appreciate the tip on how to do so.

The FP is also included in yesterday's weekly release. I believe this weekly also includes the kernel changes faux was mentioning in his thread. I flashed it last night and I can defintely see a difference. Much snappier performance all around. And the added scroll feature with FP is very nice.
I am closing the beta for the time being, have a handful of testers atm. It may open up again, stay tuned.
You know the name of the game. Experienced ICS users only please.
I have been putting together a frankenstein type ICS build, blending some tweaks with:
-Beta 2.5.1 i9000
-Beta2 by goodoane
-ICS_4.0.1_r1-Beta2-i9000.zip by onecosmic
-Recommended using the FuguMod_Vibrant_Kernel_BETA2.zip from here: http://code.google.com/p/ice-cream-...mmary+Uploaded+ReleaseDate+Size+DownloadCount (the kernel is included in the zip)
-Also recommend the KB5 modem, from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19795419&postcount=130 (this is also included in the zip, but its not flashing with the rom as of right now)
This has some framework, build.pop, and ui tweaks applied, but I've pulled back on the theming to direct my attentions to functionality.
-Keymapping is corrected
-Can mount via MTP mode
-Moutning works in recovery
-ADB and Shell both work
-SU out of the box
-Lockscreen rotates and screen rotates 360 degrees
Not working:
Must toggle mute (on then off) in order to be heard by incoming callers
GPS
Video Recording
Video Playback (buggy)
You tell me what else to add here.
Installation: (coming from another ICS build, or CM7 only!!)
-Reboot to recovery, perform a factory reset
-Go to mounts and storage and format system
-Flash the Beta2 Kernel (FuguMod_Vibrant_Kernel_BETA2.zip)
-Flash the rom
-Flash your modem (no longer need to reflash the kernel)
-Fix permissions
-Reboot the phone
New Info
As you guys have read, I have been running the data data tweak from this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20017090&postcount=1756 and it seems to have made things a lot more stable. No odd application issues going on anymore, although there is a bit more lag, but I think I have found a temp fix for that.
Since Friday night I have been running AutoKill Memory Optimizer, free version from the market. Its not a task killer really, but it maintains the amount of free system memory on your device, from what I understand. I am using Aggressive settings, with the Advanced settings for Memory and Battery enabled, and my phone is flying!
If you guys want, give that a shot, and let me know your results.
*******************************
So, who wants to test?
First, you promise not to release this or share it with anyone, by signing up you agree to this one term.
You should have experience with ICS, and know how to flash it and recover from a bad flash.
If you've never flashed ICS before, you definitely want to start there.
I am looking to possibly release this to the wild by the end of the week, so active testers are a big plus!
When I feel like I have enough testerss I will post that on the top of this post, just ask in here, and I will pm you a link.
I'll test, running ICS now.. I know how to do a little above basic stuff.

What rom were you coming from? This should run with both bootloaders, but I'm on the stock bootloaders, so that might be it. Also, you should be coming from either CM7 or another ICS rom.

I would be glad to help with testing with one caveat. I need either USB tethering or wifi hotspot to be working. I use that quite frequently and would not be able to keep the ROM installed without it.
Hi all,
I know everyone is working really hard on the ICS source for the S2 but from what I've experienced so far its not worth moving on from 2.3.6. I know this is all testing/dev work and things aren't going to run to smoothly but I dont seem to be able to get a stable ROM that works for all the below, at least one of them doesnt work or crashes all the time (I seem to find I'm CWM backup'ing/restoring and titanium apps all the time and restoring ROMS instead of using the phone lol):
- USB utilities - crashes when trying to use it
- GPS doesnt work to well - even with the agps patch applied
- MMS/3G signal doesnt work
- Nova launcher on most crash
- Messaging stops working from the dock - so you have to clear the data to re apply launcher settings
- some other stuff I cant think of right now
If I can put a tick in the box for all of the above I would be a happy man til then I'm sticking to 2.3.6 ROM's (Not moaning, just thought I would put it out there and see what everyone elses thoughts are) :-D

Just realized what i said...Anyway so many threads out there already regarding ICS just post in there regarding making a new thread. You only get people coming down your thread just cause you opened a new thread on a topic that is already kinda getting boring with all the crap everyday you read on here and people opening so many threads when you could just post in the ones that are already created..
thats what you get when you use a beta version. post the same in existing threads, and do read before posting another thread.
I was actually not going for.ics myself due to what I was reading... but couldn't resist anymore and have been on Darkys (Ficeto) LPB for 2 days now... I'm actually quite happy and surprised by the performance and ESP battery life... probably not.going to switch back to the bread...!

I agree. I have been trying about 5 versions of custom roms with ICS which all users would say are very good but I was very disappointed in performance, and sometimes it would freeze.
ICS.....not yet released!
Be patient now.
U guys need to do a full wipe even if the ROM says no wipe. Otherwise you will definitely get issues. I was having some before I did a full wipe. After the Wipe did a fresh install of a Custom ROM and now its awesome. Definitely can't go back to GB now

No offense.
But it's still in development. "not done"
In due time it will be sorted.
But threads like these will not speed up development.
So please have some respect for those who put in effort.

maybe something wrong with you.
I'm using latest ICS leak and everything works and hasn't crashed/FC. Nova launcher works perfect too.

A huge squadron of super-developers are rushing your way, sir. Their mission is to make ICS work for you... TODAY. Your words are praised, and wishes are their commands, to fulfill your every need. Please, stay put, and wait for them with cookies and milk.
I agree, don't think I will use it till either samsung release it, or sammobile release a proper rom leak that samsung will later release.
Just beta versions at the moment, rather disappointing.
CM9 is supposed to be nice, but I hear too many things not working, & will they never add fm radio support?
So... For now, I'm holding out on 2.3.4

LPB (Stock rooted) has behaved extremely stable so far, in fact the modem seems to more stable in comparison to GB.
Which rom you tried and did you wipe before flashing? LPB is not perfect (after all it´s a leaked beta) but it is more than usable as daily driver

I shouldnt do this cause my mates friends uncle will kill me but.
Ive got hold of a fully working release of ics that samsung will roll out the only reason they arnt is cause they are waiting to time it for the sgs 3 release, they want to encourage people to upgrade to that and then once thats sold well will offer this upgrade for the sgs2.
There have however been reports of phones being bricked due to a time stamp in the kernel stopping the kernel from running before a given date.
So I repeat this ROM will brick your phone
flash in odin as normal

We know there are work in progress to port CM 12 on T810 and T710 but none for T815 and T715
So those like me with T815 or T715 or ... that are looking for CM for their device can post their request in CyanogenMod Forum request page
http://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/116361-samsung-galaxy-tab-s2/
Yes; even without phone fuctions is ok for start. I see note 4 exynos got decent cm13 now; I hope no impossible to give it for tab s2 lte. Would be great
Hey, I'm new to this, but I want to give it a shot to try a port for the T715.
I think it should be no problem to make a build without modem support.
So my plan would be to use the source of the T710, if @CTXz allows me to use his sources.
Next I want to try to integrate the modem/ RIL sources, but don't expect too much! I'm completely new to android development and this will be my first project doing myself.
Just did some compilings and ports, but never to new unsupported devices. Maybe with some help it will be possible for me.

Hey, you really don't need to ask to use my sources A mention at the finished ROM would be all I need . However, if you plan to support it, I recommend joining my git group

Hey, ok great, thank you!
So let's try it!
A question:
What does one gain and lose by going from stock Samsung to CM12/13?
Thanks!

That is a very tuff question to answer in just one post and depends on particular preferences. My advise is to Google: Cyanogenmod and TouchWiz.

It seems the main issue is battery and camera (quality).
i think i messed my t817v. i rooted using odin, and cannot figure out what to do next. it tries to install but gives error message, also my tab wont charge, and when hooked into odin it keeps "adding then removed" over and over again... now i have a tablet that does not work.
any help on this would be awesome.

I would love that!
I also posted a device request at the CyanogenMod Forum.
What you always lose with CM is Bluetooth aptX support for higher quality Bluetooth audio, since they have no licence. And since now there is official MM for the S2 and it - with enough free storage and 3 GM of RAM and root available - really doesn't profit any more from a "slim" ROM than earlier devices did, can anybody point me to a real advantage of CM?
For me CM was never about storage, but about control. As far as possible (for I am no programmer) I want to decide about the rights apps have and don't. It starts with being able to delete them and goes on with being able to restrict their access rights. As far as I remember such privacy guard things are much more easier to accomplish with CM.

But stock MM offers these permission settings now, so what else?

My TAB s2 is my first Samsung device.... ( other android devices being nexus 7, xperia z2 / z3, moto g 4G ) ...... I love the tablet but I must say the draw of a supported CM ROM would be the look / feel of stock android and the way the system behaves. Whilst with a rooted device you can remove bloatware, the system itself does not change. All of my other devices have been stock or only lightly skinned....and basically stock once you swap out the launcher.... so I have come to like that. I do find touchwiz to be a little in my face and I do notice the system intrusions a little...... a personal thing of course and I am not complaining as I made the decision to buy it knowing full well what Touchwiz was... but the hardware in the tablet and the price was the draw-card (got the WiFi version here in Aus the first month on sale for $540 ... in comparison, the Nexus 9 was circa $700 and the Ipad Air 2 64gb was $730). My nexus 7 2013 runs MM with less and smoother than the TAB s2 runs LP. I could only imagine what it could do with an ASOP ROM once the bugs were fixed.
Could it be due to a defect usb-port?

Do u know the difference between WIndows Phone/iPhone and Android, that's the kind of comparison u can use between Stock and CM.
Stock is the cute "little" thing with mostly everything that u may need ready to go.
CM is the smaller in size, much faster and with options to do almost anything u could think in a device.

Was this ever fixed?
Why does the SM-T815 run in 32bit mode, even under CM13?
