Amazon. There is no way to do a system restore on that tablet yet. You will need to wait see about an exchange with Amazon.

I guess I'll just hope some one comes up with a way too do it in fast boot mode. I can get there but don't have the files needed. It boots to the first Kindle fire logo and goes no where.

Download the ROM again and md5sum check it to make sure it is not corrupted then install it. It looks like you had a corrupted ROM.

Check the market for OTA root keeper, use that and let the update install.

It never used to work without stock recovery but I think CWM will allow you to install the OTA now.

Its been working fine without stock recovery for a long time.
So,
I have Nexus 7 16gb (grouper) and the problem is that it can not recognize the usb(as I guess)
It doesn't charge when powered on. I should turn it off and connect the charger and i charges .
The PC doesn't recognize it . (both Linux Ubuntu 12.10(with necessary rules) and Windows 7)
OTG doesn't work.
The adb does not recognize it.
When in bootloader adb doesn't recognize it. (so i can't flash anything)
I am on stock 4.2.1 JOP40D with CWM and M-KERNEL a32.
Tried wiping everything(leaved only system) and the same result.
It happened after I charged it with car charger.
BTW in bootloader menu it shows:
Baseband Version : N/A
Help me please!
So it does charge when off?

Hmm. There's an app on play store flash image GUI. Not sure if you can lock boot loader with that, but you will need to either stock and relock or get it to not charge at all. Then you can RMA the thing

Thanks!
I thought about flashing again bootloader via CWM
Is that a good idea?
What RMA means?
If happened to me I would try a ROM with stock kernel first
ADB is only for Android OS... You need to use fastboot instead while in bootloader.

RMA is sending it in to get fixed

If adb doesn't see it fast boot probably won't either

You can't just freeze it. It is a combination of files and init.d tweaks along with the BeatZ App.
To remove it you need to reflash your ROM.
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Can't you just delete from init.d and remove the app then?

The same happents when/if you installed an app called twilight...which creates an overlay on your screen makes it redish while the day passes to don't hurt your eyes..what ever application creates overlays like holo or this app prevents apps from installing...
