Freegee fully supports the g2. For recoveries you get cwm or twrp.

I would veriy Roms for at work with new update before you take an ota. On the vs980 I took the 12b ota and found out that not many devs have patched their work to operate with the ota.
Had to flash back to 10b then just flashed the 12b radio

Freegee
I am running Verizon LG G2 on 12B rooted, stock rom and have CWM with Freegee
I ran two backups and want to flash a custom rom but worried about after you flash the new ROM is CWM and Freegee still gonna be there???
I have tried to get into recovery with holding the Vol + up and power but it just boots normal...
I see some of you are using Flashify root but if I want to use that how do you remove Freegee and CWM?
Also I can see my backups while in recovery on cwm but with phone on and using Astro File Manager I go into the Clockworkmod dir and don't see my backups in there.
Any thoughts. I am gonna wait to flash new rom until I know for sure I can if need be get to my backups.
Update--->> Installed TWRP and now I can see my backups and get into recovery by holding both volume down + power. As soon as the LG logo comes up release it and immediately do the same thing again and hold them down. It will bring you to a reset screen and you hit power 3 times. and it starts TWRP.

I would sit tight and let the app developers try and straighten things out. I updated my nexus4 to 4.3 but will wait awhile before doing my n7. I'm sure it won't be long!

Sent From My Rooted G3
Only thing I can suggest is make sure you have USB debugging enabled and make sure you have the correct drivers installed. It's probably best to ask in the thread of the toolkit you're using, I haven't tried many toolkits but wugs has a pretty good walk thru for driver installation http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1766475

I followed the instructions in the thread below for 'Already updated to 4.3 and have an OTA notificaion? (JWR66Y from JWR66V)'.
I unrooted, flashed the update zip in recovery and immediately after flashed the superuser zip and all was fine.

I just read in another thread that custom recoveries cannot yet be flashed on the latest OTA. You have to revert back in order to have a custom recovery. According to this thread.

I am new to the LG G2, former Galaxy S user, but I know what I am doing when it comes to flashing and ABD, etc. Just from reading the forums I understand that certain versions of TWRP and CWM will actually do a soft brick of sorts. So, my question is what version is "safe" to install? TWRP 2.6.3.3? CWM 6.0.4.5? Also what are people's thought using freegee to install those versions?
Thank you in advance for any help, and putting up with this n00b question. I have tried to search her and Google for an answer and came up with nothing.

I would recommend TWRP as well. Personally didn't use FreeGee but it seems like an easy way to do it. I followed this.. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2449670. With little experience using adb, it was simple.
