I have a SM-N900 Rooted with Cahinfire and installed Titanium Backup Pro. Do not have any ROMs installed. Not sure when but "reject call with message" tab not showing any more. Does any one have any suggestions how to resolve this? I really like this feature. I tried defrosting all the apps I froze with Titanium, but that did not help.

Hello all. I'm using the LG Nexus 4, rooted, and running the stock rom. I absolutely LOVE the theme of this MMS.apk originally developed for the Galaxy Nexus:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745830
However, I have a small problem...I cannot send MMS messages or receive them, as well as forwarding multiple people a message. Otherwise regular SMS messaging and everything else works out fine. I installed it through the use of Root Browser Lite after uninstalling and backing up the stock MMS through Titanium Backup. The post also mentions installation by "flashing into recovery," though not sure if that is the same as installing a rom through Clockwork Recovery or another method, which I did not do. Can anyone help me? I wish to keep using the stock messaging app with this theme, without the need for a third party SMS solution like Handcent or GO SMS Pro. Thanks!
Hello. I just installed Cyanogen 12.1 on my S4 and I cant restore my messages. I cant add Samsung account but I did a backup of my default messages app, joyn by telekom with TB. I restored app+data, but it just installed app, the messages are still missing.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
You would of needed to make a backup of 'Messages (SMS & MMS)' it's listed in yellow and as a XML type in TB. So if you haven't, then you've lost them.

I should have them in my Samsung account. It's no way that I can access them?
If they're on your Samsung account I can only thing I can suggest is to re install a stock rom, restore the messages and then do a local backup.
Hello everyone!
I just recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos and for the most part it works like a charm (rooted and all), but I have run into a strange issue...
Going into "Contacts" and setting "Contacts to Display" whatever I choose does not stick. For example I can choose to display "On Device" contacts only, I can see that it takes effect, then I exit out of contacts and go back into Contacts app again and it has then reverted back to displaying "All" contacts again (showing Skype/Gmail etc contacts which I do not want!)
Do anyone here know if this is a known bug with Samsung S5 (G900F/FD) under KitKat 4.4.2 or could it be a side effect of me having frozen a number of things with Root Uninstaller (I only froze them so they can be restored if need be!)
Do you know which dependencies Contacts depends on to be running for it to work properly?
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated,
Kindest regards,
XDAFan.
Commenting here as I have the same issue (no solution found here either) though with me, it is intermittent, and my contacts to display are those stored on my sim card....S5 international with rooted kitkat.......

Same problem - it resets to displaying all contacts after I close the app - both on stock rom 4.4.2 and Alexandr's 5.0 on G900F. Hope someone has a hint ...
I actually managed to fix the issue for my phone.
It was because I had used this backup app to transfer the call history/contacts etc over to the new phone, and certain entries being linked so as far as I remember what I did was I went into the contacts and unlinked any contacts that were "stuck together" and then deleted any duplicates etc. so I had all the contacts set up just the way I wanted them.... THEN I backed the contacts up using the built in function in Samsungs Contacts settings to do so (saved them onto the external memorycard)...
Then I went ahead and deleted ALL of my contacts off the phone, and lastly restored them from the backup I had made.
This made the display setting stick.

i recently switched over to using an s5 because my current phone(lg g3) started to have problems. i made a backup of my call logs and sms/mms messages with titanium backup but i can't get them to restore on the s5. until now, i've never run into a problem restoring this data with titanium backup. i've been able to move my call logs and text messages from one phone to another without any trouble. as a result, my text messages backup is a decent size of 38MB. usually, the call log takes a few seconds to restore and the text messages take about 45 minutes to restore. on the s5, the call log doesn't take long to restore, but nothing shows up in the phone's recent calls list. titanium backup takes about 2 minutes to restore the text messages before it says it's done. also, i don't get the popup asking if i want titanium backup to be the default messaging app. when i open up a messaging app, there's nothing there.
in titanium backup, i checked "migrate system data" when making the backups and also on the s5 before restoring them. that didn't help. the firmware i'm using on the s5 is pb1 rooted and i have the toshiba emmc chip.
any ideas or suggestions on what to do to get titanium backup to restore my call log and text messages?
i figured out how to get titanium backup to restore the call logs and text messages. in supersu, i unchecked the box for "mount namespace separation" and then the tibu restore worked.
Hi, I've been using this app for quite a while to backup and restore my SMS. However, on my new Mi A1, the messages is not showing, instead just a bunch of loading animation.
Anyone has any idea why?
The app I'm using: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore&hl=en
try to clear data+cache of sms app and then restart and reopen the same app...
also, make sure restore completed successfully in SMS Backup & Restore app and there is no error msg.
Thanks!!
