I use the cyanogenmod mms.apk for text messages. When I was on 4.2.2 I couldn't update because I replaced a system file which was the mms.apk. I had a copy of the original stock mms which I just reinstalled and was able to update to 4.3 no problem. Now I'm trying to install the newest update but I can't because of the same issue. I tried to install the stock mms.apk but it's not working. Any ideas on what to do? Is there a way to get the stock mms.apk?

Hi! There is any way to port the emoji from stock rom to Kitkat? Doesn't matter its GPE or CM based. I know it might sound like a silly request but i like the Samsung stock ones and i dislike Android stock ones

Is there anyways to get Samsung apps on a custom ROM? I find that while the 4.4.2 Roms generally work great, that lack of SApps and especially the one hand functionality, really reduce how great these Roms can be.
Or is the best bet just to root Samsung's Roms?
Thanks in advance.
Never heard of the leaked 4.4.2 kitkat Samsung rom? ???

I think he is referring to AOSP 4.4.2 ROMS.
For the OP, I don't think it is possible, and believe me, I am in the same position as you are, whether use the boring Samsung ROM with all those features or to use nice looking 4.4.2 ROMs with no Samsung features
Why wouldn't it be possible? Aren't the Samsung apps just apks that can be extracted? Or is it all based only on touch wiz?

Its based on the touchwiz framework. Yeah, it's apks and you might be able to install them but they might either not start up, work properly or not be able to install.

Apks require TWiz framework to work which is impossible to get in AOSP ROMs. AFAIK, MIUI is the only custom ROM which supports SApps.
Has anyone been able to figure out how to get AOSP lockscreen on stock 4.4.2? I know that this was possible on 4.2.2, but ever since the update LG moved their lockscreen APK and removed the setting that would disable LG's lockscreen from the build.prop file in /system.
Is there any way we can get it back with Xposed, and has anyone had any success getting a stock lockscreen on this new update?

did you ever find out how?
I was wondering if stock 4.4.2 apps could be installed on lollipop (cm12)
I think no because it's based on cm you cant install stock apps.
