That's because Google Play is view only at the moment. Attempting to download is not advised, yet.

I think most users are aware that this forum is for the HD2012,
Currently there is no dedicated form form for 2013 version so this one is the closest.

@LE: Is there any solution to get the Google Play Store working on the KFHD7 11.3.1.0 you know of?
Or will I just have to wait it out? Thanks and greetings!

I know people are always looking for apk files to sideload on their KF specially Google apps. I've started a page where I have posted those common files. I'm also willing to add more upon request. Just leave a comment on the blog post page. This is for free apps only and is not meant to get around paid apps in anyway. http://androidcowboy.com/android-apk-files-download/
This is awesome!
THX :good:
I've downloaded and installed the Play store. When I open it, it gives me a popup informing me an account needs to be connected in order to use it. I click yes to set up my account, and the app shuts down. Any ideas?

You probably don't have Google framework installed. Use KFU (Kindle fire utility) to do that. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399889 Questions welcome.
Thanks Cowboy - useful stuff
I use Android Drawer since it has mostly All Free Apps, that are essential for Android Users. Its got over 50,000+ apps, only free though, no warez. I use it all the time for sideloading when I am at Stock, and most are update as soon as updates roll up.

Hi, great thread. My daughter is getting a Kindle Fire for Christmas and I will be setting it up before the big day (well Santa obviously does that). I specifically want to add Google Play Music as I have just signed up for All Access, what additional APKs will I need to be able to sign in?

I think you'll need Google Play Services, and Google Play Framework if you're aren't rooting. Also, I am not sure but I think All Access is for Android 4.0+, but I am not sure though.

Oh right thanks, I'll check that out first.
Edit:: a quick search seems to indicate all access will be ok on GB, I'll try it anyway.

thanks OP. need to update my apps.
is it likely Iwill run into any issues if i use both play store apps and amazon apps? noticed the other day amazon wanted to update an app i got from play.. or maybe it was the other way round!
Sent from my KFTT using xda app-developers app
You won't run into any problems. If the Google Play store wants to update one of your Amazon apps... do it! It gets updates weeks ahead of Amazon and is generally the better store. It'll also allow all your newly converted Google apps (aka update via Play) to update automatically... something Amazon lacks. Just don't allow the Amazon store to update via Play. The Play version is slower...
ah ok. i have disabled any automatic updates through amazon app store. amazon still wants to update netflix and skype. may remove the amazon stuff. only thing i will miss is the free daily app.
also noticed that go store wants to update my tvchatup app and the rootcheckbasic app..

You could just keep both. I use mostly the Play store with Amazon being used for the occasional free daily app. As I mentioned before, it's generally best to let your apps update through Google Play.
ok thanks, will do. keep turning amazon app updates and use play

Could someone please upload a nexus 7 Google voice apk, trying to get one to work with my device but keep getting FC

Why not just install it from the play store?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus
I am a kindle fire 2 user and the one in the play store force closes right away. I've had luck in similar situations using nexus 7 app.
But the nexus 7 doesn't ship with voice installed. Getting the apk from it wouldn't be any different than an apk from any other device that downloaded it from the play store.

yeah you're right, I looked it up, the apk is universal. Some apps vary by device though.

I don't need it anymore, the APK is universal for google voice. But some are not. For example the directv app I downloaded from the play store on my kindle wouldn't work but the one I got from a nexus 7 user did.

thanks. it is a free app you have to search i google
It is a free app. If you search nubeox player in Google and click on Google play store it would ask you to open in the tablet. I think you only will be amenable to download if you live in spain
