Hello.
Since Android 4.3, Bluetooth 4 is supported if the device supports it as well. The i9500 has this ability.
As I am a running addict, I bought a compatible heart rate monitor belt with dedicated ability to be connected to the s4. Link:http://global.mobileaction.com/product/product_i-gotU_HRM-10.jsp
Unfortunately, I can not pair it with my s4. The device is simply not recognised. I followed the connection instructions but failed repeatedly. I don't have problems with other Bluetooth devices (most likely Bluetooth 3).
I debloated the stock rom mj8 and am not sure if there are particular files ONLY for Bluetooth 4, which I might accidently deleted. I can not imagine that, but maybe somebody can enlighten me.
I9500, stock 4.3 mj8, rooted
Thanks for your help in advance.
Edit: Due to the fact that 100 viewers but no reply to this post: Did anybody EVER successfully pair a BT4.0-device with the S4?

Hello,
I have a GT-I9515 s4 software version 4.4.2 Kitkat is original. Version number I9515XXU1ANC1
I buy for my wife to phone with bluetooth physical keyboard 3 (no name) compatible with the S4. (compatibility is mainly related to the form of the S4) -
My problem is that the keyboard does not find the bluetooth S4. Sometimes He is briefly showing address mac keyboard without indicated the name "keyboard" as provided. But the connection is impossible.
I also have a Galaxy Note n7000 in jelly bean version 4.1.2 N7000XXLT9 that he has no problem pairing and the use of keyboard works to perfection. :silly:
S4 bluetooth works because it can join the GNote and a bluetooth headset.
I thought it was a software problem, so I flashed with odin the official firmware versions samsung other countries :
Suisse : I9515XXU1AND2_I9515VFG1AND2_I9515XXU1AND2_HOME.tar.md5
Italy : I9515XXU1AND4_I9515TIM1AND1_I9515XXU1AND4_HOME.tar.md5
allemagne : I9515XXU1AND3_I9515DBT1AND1_I9515XXU1AND3_HOME.tar.md5
But it did not work !
I tried to pair the S4 with other smartphone, Sony Xperia, WIKO and the keyboard is recognized. by against with Gnotes2 and 3 and GS3 is random !
Now that you know all here are my questions:
1) Do you think it is a software problem? or should I return the S4 service?
2) I did not rooter because of warranty and KNOX, is that the root may change a few things? Including the use of certain bluetooth apps?
3) Do you think a custom rom for the gt-i9505 could solve my problem?
4) Maybe someone already had my problem and solved it?
thank you for your response.
No answer? :cyclops:
The text is translated by google translate, maybe you do not understand?
If you do not understand my problem thank you for letting me say?
thank you very much

is anyone can halp me to know whats reason my wifi and bluetooth not working
Ok well the more information you provide the easier it would be for someone to help so please try and answer the following questions;
What model is your phone? (i9500, i9505, i9505G ect)
Have you recently flashed a new rom?
What was you doing the last time the wifi/bluetooth worked? (Did you download/flash anything?)
Most importantly, have you searched on XDA before posting?
Try search "Wifi issues on i9505" (Use correct model)
I suspect you have recently moved from Jellybean to KitKat and you need a new modem installing, but without the correct information I'm not comfortable pointing you in that direction.
Hi all,
I have the JVC for few month now and never had the chance to try mirrorlink before.
When i heard the lollipop upgrade will have it, i was all exited...
I activated the MirrorLink option on my phone settings and connected the phone via dedicated MirrorLink usb in my JVC system.
After few seconds of "connecting" message, i got a "USB Communication Error"
Did someone had this problem before (Don't matter which devices, i mean with MirrorLink)?
Any ideas?
Do we have some MirrorLink experts here who can tell me how it works?
thnx
Hi,
I would say refer to JVC FAQ:
http://mirrorlink.jvc.com/faq.html
Do you have the software installed? I would also remind you that questions are posted in the Q&A thread not general ( a mod might slap you a little and move this)

I installed SlightROM (lollipop based) on my SGS5 w8 the other day and got the same error message when I enabled MirrorLink and connected to my JVC NSX1. I think the JVC unit will probably need a firmware update before it will work with the SGS5 running 5.0.
So my GF has (I'm 99% sure) the L720T (almost positive it's spark, I can double check). I flashed it to Stock Rooted Deodexed NG2 Refitted for her and haven't been able to read NFC tags at all. I can Android Beam from my phone (LG G3) to hers and back, but can NOT detect tags at all. I believe the battery is a the NFC antenna?
Also, it does not seem to have included WiFi calling? I didn't see it in the ROM either (though the activation app shows it's active for the phone). Any way to get the executables for it? (I tried using the ones from the stock ROM, but they just FC).
Also, I couldn't get WiFi working until I changed the kernel out, was very frustrating over all!
Thanks!

Yes, the NFC hardware is built into the battery. I think your problem may stem from the Rom itself, as Refitted is intended for the L720, not the L720T. Could be missing some libraries or whatever that she needs. I recommend flashing the stock rom, or a custom rom that is proven to support the L720T and see if that corrects your problem.
Not sure about Wifi calling - again, could just be an issue of the rom doesn't support the tri-band model. Does wifi calling work for the device on a stock Rom?
I just got a samsung s5. unfortunately after updating for a higher version of lollipop, my wifi and bluetooth grayed out. I have taken it to repair shop twice but they failed to solve the problem. They even downgraded it to lollipop5.0 then upgraded to marshmallow 6.0.1. nothing worked. then i came across this forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/themes-apps/wifi-bluetooth-fix-s5-ported-roms-t2938607
unfortunately, it isnt active anymore. please help me how to use the files..
