Swype working on Legend!

How to install
1. Download Swype from the link above and transfer it to your phones sd card
2. Menu > Settings > Applications > Check Unknown sources
3. Look for the swype.apk file using Astro File Manager and install.
4. Settings > Language Keyboard > Check Swype
5. Swype Settings > Tutorial> Input Method > Swype

what is Swype exactly? sorry for the noob question.

instead of tapping the letters on the keyboard you swipe. you can enter the words faster with it cos you don't have to tap on each letter

its not gonna drain the battery since it just replaces the default input method

Downloaded, installed, rebooted, ... nothing happened. I looked also for some settings, but i didn't find. Do you know how to activate swype???

u dont need to reboot after you install it. you should have swype working if you follow the installation process on the first post... look for Language & keyboard on the settings

Ahh .. sorry and thanks . Now it's working and it look really great). But unfortunately it's for now unusefull for me because i am mostly writing im my native language which is not english, and i really doubt that i will find now also slovak input language dictionary.

Nah seriously, swype took off an hour on my WinMo phone . So all is well? Yay.

I am using it now, it works really well.

My bad, still getting used to using the mobile application

Is there any way too use 2 different languages at the same time? I have english a spanish dictionary and I hate keep changing between these two.I would like swype too check both while I write, thanks

I dont think theres a language pack for it. But theres another app in the market like swype called shapewriter and it supports different languages.

hmm ? keyboard is 113 mb ? 2nd package i mean update.zip its not deodexed and my rom is deodexed maybe i faced to this prob cuz of that ?

the 2nd is another rom for 2.2.1 from my cellular carrier.

np mate hope our carrier release 2.3.4 with rtl support

rtl support is workin in the update that i release but my lang not

better to tell it dont work , in my lang ( Farsi ) it shows reversed number ( RTL ) and there is no webcore ...

I flashed it over stock 2.3.4.
I had an other issue with phone app, i can't make calls (but i can receive calls)

If you find a GB keyboard for the SGS and install the apk it works (did for me).. Choose for the GB keyboard under settings with haptic feedback on and it works . (Extract it for e.g the one from older Darky's froyo Roms)

i edit ur patch and delete some usefulness app & change font & ...
now the size of my personally patch is 60mg.
i put the keyboard(that u give/arabic-ginger)in the pack.
but after flashing the pack...when i wanna use the keyboard.it has f.c
i think the keyboard needs some lib or permision file.
can u help me to fix this prob?

Why do you want to uninstall them?
You can disable the one you don't use in the settings.

dont know some reason it going back to korean language when i swap sim cards .. it is like going back to default .. phone is in english but keyboard going back to default .. just want get rid of them and even save space ..
i had huawei ascend p6 and i was able to uninstall lang. keyboards with app master.. but this app seems to not showing up in g2 system apps ..
can i go into root folder find lang keyboards and wipe them ?

[Q] I lost my hebrew

Hi everyone,
I have a big problem, i don't know what happened, but suddenly the hebrew disapeared from my samsung keyboard. As usual, when I want to input hebrew text, i swype the space bar to switch to hebrew. And two days ago i had lost my hebrew keyboard and all was left was english(US) and french.
So I checked out the languages in the parameters. I still have the hebrew in the menu languages, as well as in the speech recognition from google, but it has disapeared from the input list of the samsung keyboard. actually I found it back in the trash of this list. So thinking I could restore it by downloading it again from the server if it was really deleted I emptied the trash, sadly nothing happened, no new language to download when updating from the server.
Has anyone got a clue ?
I guess hebrew is flagged as deleted somewhere in the parameter files, so it is no longer proposed to download.
Btw, my phone is a Galaxy S4, of course, GT-I9505 JDQ39.I9505XXUBMEA Android 4.2.2 rooted.

You might get help in the i9505 section of the forum instead of the i337 section for AT&T version of S4.

Ok so I did open a thread there.... but no one seem to have any idea how this stuff works, and that's quite amazing.... there must be another way than a hard reset, don't you think ?

Download an other keyboard and check maybe there you can change the language.

Thank you, i did install Go Keyboard, and install the hebrew plugin, and it works with this keyboard, but what i need is a way to get hebrew back on my samsung keyboard...

Hi, Why not, I just need the samsung keyboard with hebrew on, you know where to find a ROM where I'm gonna find it ?
Cause sincerely I didn't find the files i'm supposed to ZIP and reinstall to save and backup the app as explained on this forum...

So thank's to Samsung hotline, I wasted 2 hours resetting the phone, and reinstalling the whole stuff....
So I lost my SMS (OK I AM STUPID i forgot to backup), i had to reconfigure everything, but still no hebrew keyboard....)
Samsung Hotline is useless....
we'll see with a new ROM, bsd.

Ok when you have the samsung keyboard open, press the gear icon button thingy.
That will bring you to settings > samsung keyboard settings.
Scroll all the way down to "Reset settings" and press that.
Then scroll back up to the select input languages, press that and it'll have a popup and that'll ask you if you want to download new langs now, do that.
Scroll down and you'll see one like עִבְרִית, select that and it'll download that and then you can select the downloaded langs on the top of that screen.
And then it'll work when you swipe the space bar.
My region is ttt, I'm not sure what your phone's is.
You phone's rom region may not have that selection anymore ^^, just something to keep in mind.
If this doesn't work after a fresh rom install or something then I would go find a diff region to flash.
I'm not even sure how to change the csc anymore though on 4.4.2, my script doesn't work anymore for that and most of the phone codes don't work either so I can't check it.
I kinda suspect the nb3 rom, ttt region isn't actually ttt but whatever lol.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter though.
The link one-option posted above is where I get my roms from and so does most everyone else that does manual updates.
What does עִבְרִית mean anyways?

There are no language files to add as languages are part of the ROM.

First thing you should tell us is what custom rom do you have or what you mean for a foreigner rom ...this will help us to help you
In TW roms with stock keyboards the keyboard dictionary can be downloaded in settings / language inputs / language

because now i have problems with internet on the phone, i will resolve this.
the problem now is that i like the stock keyboard, but it has only english and some unknown language, and write without prediction make write with it slow as hell...
