i am coming across from a rooted G1, i had about 160 apps i have managed to get most restored with mybackpro but have had market issues since i first signed in.
Apps when downloading continue to show as downloading even after they are installed, is this just a syncing delay, I know I had this with my G1 at times when switching between roms and it usually fixed it self after a few days.
If this is the case is there anything I can do to try and fix this myself, its very annoying as the whole market is app is slow.

The Internet browser on my Galaxy S I9000 opens all web pages on both, GPRS and WiFi networks. However, the following applications give me errors-
1. Market - "Server unavailable. Please try again later". For both, GPRS and WiFi networks
2. Talk - It simply shuts down without showing any dialog box on both networks.
3. Maps, Gmail, Mail, Samsung Apps - Works only on WiFi and not GPRS
I do not have a 3G network in my region yet.
Since market doesn't open; I can not download anything.
Kindly guide me with this. I am more concerned about [1] and [2].

I tried everything, but its not working. I changed the build.prop (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7309462&postcount=162) wiped the cache and app cache, but still not full app catalogue in the market...
Can anyone help me?
A lot of them do, some mess up but devs are usually fast in tweaking the app to work with froyo

Hi, i'm pretty sure i'm in the right section, anyway, I upgraded to firmware JM2 and now there seems to be the odd app missing in market, not specifically paid ones.
For example myplayer is not there, is there a fix available for this or has the app just dissapeared(could anyone verify?).

[Q] Got a problem after install JPJG8 with root and lag+market fixed
After I have re-flashed my SSGS with JPJG8 then root and proceeded with lag and market fixed.
I can't open market..
1) When I open market 1st time - it will ask for my google account then close down
2) After that - when i open market again - it will show title bar "Android Market Terms of Service " with blank white screen
3) Then it start to blinks every 5 seconds but keep showing white screen and title bar <like the screen wiping from left to right>

Do a reflash, and also if possible try to format both your internal and external sd card as well. Hope this works.
this happen again after I reflash .. root and do lag fixed ... so I will now go back to JM2

Okay so today I tried downloading some applications from the market but to no avail!
It says starting download but goes no furthur, I've factory reset the phone but still not working.
Anyone else experience this or any solutions to fix it?

i can find all apps on Market but can't download any of them.
If i press install it says in German: "Download wird gestartet..." means more or less in english:"Download starting..." it gets stuck on this message.
I used JM2 and OneClick LagFix 2.0 market wasn't working. so i decided to reflash and don't use oneclick lagfix, but nothing.
Then i flashed JM5, bit it still doesn't work.
I also tried another googlemail account, but nothing..
Anyone has a idea? I can't even restore my backups, since i can't download titanium backup from market lol.
This has happened to me today too! Maybe it is problems with the market servers.. :/ Now I am stuck without any applications until it is fixed.
I have the exact same problem and i have also tried a factory reset, if i find a solution I will let you know.
G2, google maps 5.5 i think it is, running CM7 RC3 and pershoots kernel,
google maps works fine, but when i go to naviage, it FC all the time....any ideas?

ioops i forgot the usual. i did a fix perms, rebooted same thing. i uninstalled the app, downloaded it, still a no go.
i just tried maps v 5.4.0 and still no go, wiped dalvk, cache, fix permissions, and then reinstalled gapps zip and atill not working
edit..reflashed cm rom and now it works, i must have deleted something i need regarding voice services that made it force close, which i usually delete these thigns from the rom because i dont use them

i am now on cm10 nightly from 10.10 (android 4.1.2). but since the nightly from 3.10 my location services do not work anymore. (tried 0310, 0810 and now 1010)
getting a location fix via gps works, but when i turn gps off and just have the google location services enabled (where it should find the location by wifi and so on...) it cant get any location.
another thing is that the internal camera is missing since that day too. ( i know that it should be included in the galerie app, but there is simply no camera app at all). that second one is not that much of a problem, since i can install any other camera app, i'm just curious.
always used the kernel that came with the nightlies, and tried everything with wiping / clearing cache and so on...
can anybody help me with that problem, especially the location services?

Hello, i got the 16gb Nexus7. And i bought Tomtom Europe. When i had the officiam ROM, Tomtom could download the large (3gb) map and everything was fine.
Now i am using Cyanogenmod 10.1 and CWR. And, Tomtom says i got not enough space to download the map. I don't know where Tomtom wants to store the map, maybe on the sdcard? Is it possible to change the Partition-Layout?

Well, the actual sdcard space is 12.xx gigs so there's plenty of space there, resizing the partitions is possible, but risky and you have to know a lot about modifying bootloaders I don't know what other partition you would take from though,

Yes indeed it is very strange, but with the stock ROM Tomtom does download the map and with Cyanogenmod 10.1 it complains about missing space. Is cyanogenmod using an different partition layout than the stock ROM? I would like to use Tomtom with cyanogenmod.
It is also not 10.1 related, on the Galaxy s2 with cyanogenmod 10.1 everything is ok.

I'm not aware of any ROMS doing re-partitioning on the N7. Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I think that APX would need to be cracked to do this.
Check on the sizes of your CWM/TWRP backups first, and then after that just go looking for what is using your storage.

OK i installes the official 4.2.2, then installed TomTom. TomTom got the map and then i flashed cyanogenmod, but i did not delete the userdata or so, and now i still got TomTom with the working map. Strange that downloading in cyanogenmod doesn't work. There must be enough space i know, anyways now it works for me.
I have the same issue on my Samsung Galaxy 3.
I just reinstalled CM-10.1-20130407 -NIGHTLY-i9300 and did a factory reset/wipe user data. As seen from the screenshots, I have plenty of free space (no extra SD card at the moment).
Since I have lost all my custom configuration, I am willing to test whatever is required...
I got no solution - but more CM reated problems.
My TomTom workaround was*to install the official android from google. then i installed tomtom, downloaded the map and flashed CM without wiping the map from the storage. you could also perhaps copy the map from storage to your computer and later under CM copy it back.
the new problem is google wallet. under CM 9 in used to pay apps in the play store via googe wallet and my mobile data plan from Fonic in Germany (where i live). No under CM 10.1 payment and google wallet is not working which is really bad ... but i will eventually buy a cheap phone just to buy things^^ or wait for the voucher-cards in germany.

I have Axon 7, A2017 (Chinese) with Android 8.0.0 software (ZTE_A2017V3.0.0B11). On the previous version 7.1.1 the problem also occurred. On the Marshmallow version (the first software from the news) everything was fine.
The problem is that some applications such as Google Chrome, Google Maps, Google Dev, Google Canary, Maps Go (uses Google maps) and a few others; SOMETIMES they hang on startup (usually the splashscreen). In the case of Google Maps sometimes hangs immediately after the start (when showing the map). After a temporary suspension, I receive a dialog that the application is not responding - I can close it, wait or send feedback to Google.
This problem does not occur every time. I do not know what it depends on, but sometimes these applications start and work normally. Unfortunately, most often they do not work when I need them most ...
I would like to add that if any of these applications has such a problem, each of the others listed will behave the same - no response. However, if this problem does not occur (the application worked), the others will also start correctly and I will be able to use them until Android does not kill their process.
Does any of you have a similar problem?

Next, I tried to downgrade to the previous version of the system (7.1.1) using the official EDL packages provided by ZTE., from: zte.com.cn/china/sitecore/content/device/home/support/detail?id=B4C0ACE418834F588FED0C72D6046C78, package ZTE_A2017V1.0.0B15. On this version (7.1.1) there is the same problem, with the difference that the applications are jamming at startup, with white background (I see splashscreen on Oreo).
Since I remembered that everything worked well on Marshllow, I decided to do a downgrade version 6.0.0 (also from official sources, package: ZTE_A2017V1.0.0B15). Unfortunately, this version of the system from the official source does not work properly for me! Firstly, the phone does not search SIM cards at all. Secondly, WiFi can not be activated on the phone. Third - i can not enable USB debugging! (ie, debugging itself can be enabled, whereas after connecting the phone to a PC, there is no dialog window on the phone with the option of accepting a PC fingerprint). I had to use an SD card to update the system.
Does anyone of you also had a problem with this compile version after roolback?

I only experienced that with the chinese oreo betas. Every google app wouldn't start, only a white screen.
Does not happen for me on stock 7.1.1, AOSP or with GSIs.
Unfortunately, until then I could not find a solution to this problem.
Therefore, I am asking you to make an EDL backup (without user data of course). Can any of you make such a copy of your software for A2017?

I also have an Axon 7 chinese (A2017) whit Nougat 7.1.1. (A2017V2.0.0B13)
I have the same problem as Xherpis, exactly the same.
I did the same as Xerphis, I restored the phone to the factory settings, but I still have the same problem.
Could you send me the B15 EDL Backup ?.
If it did not work, I would have to change my phone, because there are many applications that do not work.

Initially, uploading backup did not help me. At the beginning, the applications behaved the same.
It helped to install the Google Services Framework version 8.0.0.-4147944.
I will add that the installation of this framework on the previous system image did not help - but you can try this first..

What is the final solution then? i am also facing the same issue . i am on A2017 7.1.1 B13 . modem is pretty stable but not the apps which dependent on google. Chrome, maps, paytm etc..

For me, installing every google apk fixed the issue. I was using B15, though.
You could try the yalp app?
The yalp app was good on a custom ROM I was testing.
This is an alternative to the google play store, however its usually the google play services that cause the crashes, etc
I'm running the B15 Oreo update, the apps are no problem on this, the earlier version before B13 was bad for apps force closing, crashing etc.
Had the same issue, found it to be the google play services, somthing on the last update really f%^&ed things up,
1. force stop
2. clear cache
3. clear all data
4. press 3 dots > uninstall updates
5. let it run... it will start acting strange for 1-2 min that will update the google services again and your good to go.
After installing the backup from @bornlivedie and installing Google Framework Services v8.0.0.-4147944, everything worked well.
Unfortunately, there is a network problem. Namely, I spend a lot of time in the place where the 4G network is starting (the network switches between 3G and 4G continuously), so it increased the battery usage. So in the settings I've always turned on by default 2G / 3G for both cards. Currently, changing these settings - even forcing the 2G network will not change the network mode, and all the time in the top bar I see 3G and 4G.
So I thought that I would return to the stock ROM to see if the problem would disappear. Unfortunately, even after returning to the stock ROM, the problem still exists. Anybody knows what's going on?
@kaplaey2 WOW it's work! It actually helped me. At least for now - I hope it is not a coincidence. I would like to add that the manual installation of the latest version of "Google services" did not help. It really helped uninstalling the update from the application settings. After this, we will receive push notifications to install updates from the play store.
