Would hotspot allow full speed connection? My 4g in my home is a solid 30Mbps, but anything connected by hotspot averages 2-3Mbps. Is their something I could do to improve this?

im running on hspa and cant seem to enable hspa+, if it helps im running on the canadian wind network
You don't have to enable it... It is already enabled. If you have HSPA+ signal the phone will use it.

Android doesn't report hspa+ on the signal bars, but if you look in the about phone settings it will say hspa+.

I believe you can use the speedtest app . it should show the WiFi speeds when you run the app instead of the carrier data speed as long as WiFi is connected.
Speed test app does not specifically test for voip performance(jitter,delay,packet loss etc)

Just wondering if anyone out there has had this issue with their G2. Seems when I turn on my hotspot it kicks out after about 20 minutes for no reason. Is this a bug in the os? I'm running a rooted stock D803 4.2

My g2 gives low speeds like 700kbps while transferring using wireless storage. Anyone else getting this issue? How to solve it.

TP-Link N300. It says it gives 300mbps transfer speeds.

Oh for Christ's sake, would a simple Google search on low wifi transfer speeds have killed you?
- try setting up the wifi from scratch
- try changing the wifi channel
- try factory resetting the router
- replace the router
All this bumping makes you look annoying and that's why nobody even tried helping you.
