Picasa Sync in Gallery App doesn't work anymore? - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I cleared all my CACHED DATA under the STORAGE setting. Then, I did CLEAR DATA and CLEAR CACHE for the Gallery app in the Application Manager and now all my Picasa folders in my Gallery app are gone and it won't sync anymore!
I did this because I noticed that my phone was using a ton of storage and was trying things to make more space.
I tried rebooting the phone many times and the Gallery app still will not sync.
I also tried removing my Google account and then re-adding it again.
The option to show my Picasa folders in the Gallery app are grayed out and I can't even select them!

Everything is properly synced in my Google account:
Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have the exact same problem, did you ever find a solution?
Im assuming that there are TOO MANY photos on both Facebook and Picasa (synced to the web) and it has been automatically disabled... probably to save on some cashe crashing issues or something.
Any other thoughts?

[Q] Calendar Sync

If I go into Settings->Accounts and sync-><google account>, under Sync Calendar the date shown is 9/23, and there is a sync icon next to the checkbox. If I uncheck then check the Sync Calendar checkbox, the sync icon rotates for a few seconds, but never goes away and the date never updates.
I've created and deleted items in the calendar both from the phone and website, and the calendar appears to sync ok, so this appears to just be an oddity. My biggest concern is if this is draining the battery (the sync icon in the notification bar displays from time to time for only a few seconds, like it always has. it's only the sync icon and date next to "Sync Calendar" that's a problem). Has anyone seen this issue before? Is it anything to be concerned about? Thanks!

As you can see, the sync icon is next to Sync Calendar, and has a date of September. My biggest concern is if this is draining the battery or causing an issue with syncing my calendar (it seems to sync OK, but I'm paranoid). I was wondering if there was a way to reset the calendar sync or anything. Thanks!

[Q] Aditional google calendars don't sync...

Hello,
I don't know what's wrong with the synchronization of calendars with Nexus 4 (Stock ROM) but I haven't found a way to auto-synchronize additional calendars. I mean, apart from my personal calendar I have other additional calendars selected, named:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Except the personal calendar ([email protected]), whose synchronization works perfectly, the other additional calendars were synchronized only the first time I selected in the device (in the screenshot you can saw that are synchronized but them are not). To re-sync I have to remove and put them back by hand, every time ...
The web access to calendar shows all calendars perfectly well so the problem seems to be located in the Nexus 4.
Please, if anyone knows how to make this work, comment.
Thank you and happy new year!
I had the same problem. What worked for me was unchecking the additional calendars and left it like that for a day. A day later I re-checked them to sync and voila! magically they started syncing.

Thanks. I'll try...

Anyone help?
all i see is a statement not a question ?
Sorry I was trying to find out if there was a way of removing the duplicates or are they needed?
I have same issue. I don't know why it does that. I think it's a bug.
Another thing is, I wonder if its draining extra battery by those extra clone accounts syncing. You aren't alone though, I have the same issue.
I can see 2 samsung tabs in my bookmarks, dunno why either.
Try to remove and then add Samsung account. It work for me.

This.
The same thing happened to me. Deleting and re-adding the Samsung Account fixed it. Also, try disabling the Sync Internet option in the Samsung Account settings. It doesn't really do anything anyway as the stock browser syncs with Chrome which you can use to manage bookmarks on your Note even if it's not your first choice for a desktop browser.
i had the same problem, just remove the duplicates and be done with it.
Thanks so much I am sure I have previously tried to remove and re-add my Samsung account but it has worked this time.
removed and re added, just the one here now. must have been the 4.1.1 upgrade messing things up.

[Q] google contacts sync issue

i do not have this issue on my N7 with the same google account

any ideas?
Subscribing. Have the same issue on CM10.1
I also had the same issue. It seems to happen when you alter a contact that is linked to a G+ profile from the device and then try to sync. At least that's what makes it happen for me. Clearing data on contacts and contacts storage solved the problem but I obviously lost the changes I was trying to make... ended up just changing it from within Gmail>Contacts and then syncing the device. Will link to this thread in the CM nightly thread to see if we can get some more exposure of this bug.
No sync with Facebook
I'm having an issue with Facebook contacts. Not syncing at all.... although in "accounts" it is turned on and syncs.
Any guess?

That's a Facebook issue as it's not natively supported in android. You have to use a third party app to sync it properly. I use contact sync for facebook.

Try disabling Picasa Web Albums under Settings > Account & Sync > Google, or disabling Picasa Uploader in Settings > Apps > All.
done both,still showing up

I could try and modify the Gallery APK to remove it but you will need root to replace the old one with the new one. Or you could try to install the new one as a normal app.
Gallery is a system app, so no, there is no way to remove it or modify it or anything else without rooting the phone.
you can hide albums by hitting the menu button while in gallery .. but i know there is a picasa web site u can go on and actually delete things i had to google it once took me a while to find it though
If you dont want the picasa albums to show in your gallery first you go to accounts and sync and uncheck photo sync, then go to settings, general, apps, all apps and find gallery and delete data and cache, reboot. Done
