[Q] White LG G2 Black borders - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi! My white G2 has black borders like all the other white ones, but I realized that the left black border is bigger than the right black border, and its a noticeable difference. The screen doesn't look correctly centered. Can this be considered a manufacturing defect? Anyone has this "problem"?

Should I return my phone?

Maybe go to the store and compare it to the model on the display. If its different I would definitely get it replaced

Black particle in the screen

Hello,
I'm currently waiting for my third galaxy S2.
The first one had a red stuck pixel in the upper center of the screen.
The second one had a black particle in the screen (maybe a line of dead sub pixels)
It looked like this (this is a htc sensation screen)

Is your screen totally flawless, without any black spot when looking very carefully on a white screen ?
I can't believe I received 2 faulty screen... am I very unlucky or what ? (my previous Samsung SGH G600 had a black particle too stuck in the screen... )
What about you ?
Anyone ?
Can't say my screen is flawless but don't have a black dot. Well I do but its dust under the screen protector. Haven't seen this before but read a post of dust getting under the screen.
I have a dead pixel on the bottom right side of the screen. It is only noticeable on a white background and it is super small and pretty much unnoticeable unless you look closely. It's red... It's been there for like a week now...kinda disappointed because I've only had the phone for a month and a half and I baby it lol.
I am lucky, my screen has no issues.

colour choice..do they both have sliver on side?

I seen the SG3 for the 1st time today, seen it in the white and blue (suspect this was just a display model, didn't ask)
I like the white, but also now seeing the blue this as well. Its hard to see on pics and I didn't check, is the sides both silver on both colours?
What I'm thinking is getting the White, and buying the official flip cover in blue it is a nice contrast as seen on a you tube vid
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhpgQt6ltLg
Also I;m thinking there will be replacement battery covers in different colours?
So ignoring the back cover, is the only white bit on the front, i.e. on the sides it is both silver?
cheers
almost 100% sure that there is a silver bezel on every S3 variant.

The blue one's sides are a pale blue colour
The blue one has a sort of bluey purple metal side while the hite is silver.
I had another look at the blue on today and i seriously do not like it and am glad i chose white.

Dust under the screen :(

Just noticed my screen has a little black dot. When the screen is off I can see it so its not a stuck pixel. Too big anyway for that. Its noticeable on white screens and internet. Do you think Samsung will allow a return for this 1 spec of dust. Its annoying as hell
Is it possible to move or to the corner or vacuum it out i wonder?
Anyone else got dust under the screen? Check in sunlight with the screen off and you might be surprised.
P.S I'm trying to take a photo of it but need a super macro lens. Other than this happy with my White i9500.

You should definitely return it if it has dust under the screen. That's much worse than even a dead pixel.

Damn Problem is I order this from USA and I live in Spain.. Going to have to live with it I guess. Poor quality control on Samsungs behalf.

Is this Screen Gap Bleeding Light?

Just notice it today after change of screen protector. Previous screen protector no such issue.
Look at the left gap.
Thanks.

I uploaded new pics taken from ipad.
When i open a black color app. I dont see the green or red light at the gap. Screen protector doesnt cover that gap line too. But it did cover the right part. Where there no light bleeding.
:crying:
There seems to be a problem with your screen. I don't think it has anything to do with the gap. Looks like you have an entire column of dead pixels. The gap (if you have it) is about 4mm away from the edge of the screen, so if you did have light bleeding due to the gap it would be away from the edge of the visible screen.
I run the test. No dead pixel. Could it be effect from glass protector?
You can't have backlight bleed on an AMOLED display. There is no backlight.

Question Nothing Phone (1) White or black

As the title says, White or black, which color to prefer?
Some say it leaves fingerprint marks in black color.
For me black. More stealthy and accentuates the glyph interface.
Ordered the black version on launch. Haven't received it yet
I just got the white version and I liked how it looks. As of the moment no fingerprint marks for the white as well. There's a built-in screen protector in front and also at the back.
White looks better in pictures, black (IMO) looks better in person.
Its a matter of personal preference both looks good with each have their own perks like glyph is more prominent on black while white shows more contrast on pieces inside transparent back.
Black looks so much better to me. I bought the 8GB/128GB version which apparently only comes in black anyway.

I've had two phones now and neither had protector on the back. Are you sure?
And it leaves fingerprints on both colors, white just does not show them. White is the way to go for me.

The protector is only on the front of the phone.
